This is the Studio A light. This light is lit up when Wilkes Now is going live. It makes the anchors and the camera crew aware that the show is on air. When

The stories happen here at this very table. This is where the Wilkes Now amchors report the stories during the 30 minute live show. The anchors this year were Rachel Leandri, Annelise Przywara,

Eric Casey, and Jennifer Magnotta. The anchor stories are usually 30 seconds to a minute long. Their stories, along with the reporters stories are events that are happening at Wilkes University or in the

Wilkes Barre community. Every year, the director and producer have auditions for the anchor positions.

Sports Now is the sports segment on Wilkes Now. Our sports anchor, Andre Spurell, talks with many sports guests. He talks to

many athletes such as basketball, baseball, wrestling, field hockey, football, swimming, etc. Each week is a different guest from a

different sport. He asks them about the sport and what he or she does in the sport.

The audio board helps with the volume of the program. It raises and lowers the volume of the live show. The audio engineer is in charge of this console during the show. The audio engineer uses

the faders in this photo to raise or lower the volume.

The switcher is a console that helps the director to put the camera shots, videos, and characters on the TV screen, The

person in charge of this position is the technical director. The responsibility of the techincal director is to picking what camera

shots go on the air, By clicking the buttons as you see here, the technical director how the shots look in each camera. If the technical director likes a shot, he or she will put it on the air.

The Wilkes Now show cannot be done without the chyron. The chyron is a character generator. The lower thirds that go on the

bottom of the screen during the show are done on this computer. When a live show is finished, the chyron posts the credits at the

end of the show.
