A history of being visionary.

OUR BUSINESS.

This IS Te Pari country. USA, Australia, UK and Europe. These are Te Pari countries. What began on a Manawatu farm in 1979 has grown to be an award-winning, global,

New Zealand Agri-tech success story.

From the vehicles that we drive, to the appliances we use in almost all facets of life every day; everywhere in NZ we depend on world-leading, imported brands to get the job done. However it’s in the agri-tech sector that we can be proud to say we

lead the way. Te Pari is ‘bucking’ the reliance on imports by exporting New Zealand made agri-technology to farmers around the world and helping build the ‘brand New

Zealand’ that is fast becoming synonymous with excellence.

How to buy...At Te Pari we offer a broad range of fully integrated animal management systems through to specialist animal husbandry tools which is available through a selected range of Rural retailers. In order to make the process easy for you use this guide to buy or enquire about our products.

to own a Racewell...

6

7 REASONS

1IMPROVED ANIMAL MANAGEMENT Using the Racewell Sheep System, farmers can easily allocate or draft stock into different groups for better stock management. This could include such things as: the division into different groups by weight to allow priority feeding, or the drafting out of ewes with multiple pregnancies.

2ONE PERSON OPERATIONRacewell Sheep Systems can automatically read EID tags, weigh and draft sheep. These actions are programmed into the scale indicator which communicates these settings to the Racewell Sheep System. This gives the operator the freedom to move away from the weighing and drafting area, to organise stock while maintaining control and stop or hold an animal at the push of a button on the remote.

3BREEDING AND ANIMAL HEALTHEwes increase their fertility when target mating weights are reached. Ewes need to be in good body weight and condition for high ovulation rates at mating. It is much more efficient to hold ewe live weight and condition score between weaning and mating as it takes a lot of extra feed to regain weight. Regular weighing using the Racewell Sheep System helps ensure optimum breeding outcomes.

4

ELECTRONIC IDWithin any flock of sheep there is a substantial variation in the characteristics that influence an animal’s production level. Using EID or RFID tags to identify each sheep allows farmers to understand these variations which provides opportunities to select or draft animals based on different criteria such as scanning results, breed, growth rate and so on to make informed management decisions for the operation. Electronic ID allows farmers to measure the performance of individual animals and make decisions specific to each animal, reducing costs and labour, while at the same time maximising returns.

5LABOUR EFFICIENCY Manually handling sheep is a physically demanding job due to their size and strength. Many producers face problems like back strain and knee injuries which impact on their ability to continue doing sheep work. The multi-purpose Racewell Sheep System takes the effort out of sheep work while allowing the farmer to quickly and easily carry out several stock management tasks at the same time reducing the time spent in the sheep yards.

6STOCK FLOWWith a Racewell Sheep System there is less human involvement in the weighing and drafting process. As a result the sheep feel less threatened and are more inclined to move freely through the system.

7ACCURACY With the Racewell Sheep System the weighing and drafting processes is automated resulting in less chance of error. In addition, accurate weighing and drafting ensures that all stock fall into the correct groups to ensure they achieve premium prices at sale.

CASE STUDY

Colin BriggsRutherglen, Victoria

“We spent a year researching sheep handlers and heard about the benefits of the Racewell from our neighbour. Then we inspected the Racewell units at the Henty Machinery Field Days and bought one from the local dealer.”

“The standout features were the build quality, the mechanisms and the adjustable sensors. It takes out the physical handling of the sheep resulting in less stress on the animal, and reduces the work to a one-person operation.”

“In the past we were pushing through 200 lambs an hour but can now weigh and draft 300-350 lambs an hour, with the yards now being the limiting factor to throughput efficiency. We generally crutch five weeks before lambing and if need be, before shearing. Ewes now get a pre-lambing vaccination, drench and full crutch through the Racewell machine. It’s obvious between the labour unit saved, and being able to drench, vaccinate and crutch all in one go, it will pay for itself pretty quickly’’.

HOW IT WORKS

The sheep are guided into the handler’s lead-up race. Sometimes, they tend to want to go back, but are prevented from backing up by anti-backing flaps along the side and the tapered sides help prevent them turning around. When the sheep enter the handler, the optical sensors or ‘magic eyes’ trigger the catching mechanism, which is an air-operated clamp. At the same time the animal is clamped, the air-operated entry gate closes behind them, preventing the next sheep from entering. At this point the clamped animal is weighed and can be tipped horizontally onto its side for crutching and various other procedures and inspections. For safety the rear sensors control the entry gate and for the clamp to activate both front and rear sensors, have to be triggered. After the animal has been handled and weighed, a drafting gate is opened and the sheep is released into a predetermined pen. The entire process is done in a matter of seconds, meaning minimal stress on both the operator and animal. Call us on 1800 650 682

Racewell Trailer SystemSheep handling any time, any place.

This trailer system is extremely popular with farmers and contractors for obvious reasons. Move between farms with ease with this sturdy trailer designed to cover long distances. It features a retractable drawbar, removable wheels and a fold down working platform. The hydraulic lift makes it easy and very quick to remove the wheels and lower the whole trailer to the ground. The sheep handler trailers come with duratorque suspension for travelling longer distances and a handy pole for mounting your shearing plant.

FEATURES

• Heavy duty 75x50 RHS steel chassis for long distance towing allows handler to be position and operated on uneven surface.

• Well balanced design allows one operator to move unit when on wheels

• Pole for mounting shearing plant in convenient position when crutching

• Fold down work platform provides a safe and level operating surface

• Hand-operated hydraulic lift system is fast and easy to use. Wheels can be removed and the unit ready to operate by one person in four minutes. System does not require power for set up.

• Retractable drawbar for quick set up• Dura-torque suspension allows road legal subject

compliance testing• Trailer can be positioned accurately right up to entry race due

to unique lifting arm underneath. This prevents the need for any repositioning once the trailer has been set up for work, and eliminates any gap between race and handler.

OPTIONAL SIDE TILT

The Side Tilt option allows the sheep to be tipped 90 degrees for crutching. The controls are proportional, as in some situations you may only need to tilt it slightly and just take the weight off the feet to stop kicking. The tilt option is supplied with a foot pedal for ease of use. When the sheep is returned to the upright position, the clamp can be set to auto release providing hands-free operation.

Call us on 1800 650 682 for more information on how to set up a Racewell Trailer System to your requirements.

Picture to the right shows the tilt in action. This allows for easy access crutching.

QUICK TIP:

The Racewell HD Trailer has a strong full length chassis rail, which means you can put it down on uneven surfaces. The fold-down work platform gives you a sturdy surface to stand on, whatever the ground conditions. The fold-down platform also makes it easy to sweep up any wool.

4 OPERATING MODES.For optimum throughput of Racewell Handlers.

1STANDARD

Sheep is clamped and weighed. When the clamp is released the entry gate and backing hook are not opened to let the next animal in until the ‘blue’ eyes are clear.

2

FAST

Sheep is clamped and weighed. When clamp is released the entry gate and backing hook are immediately opened to let in the next animal. This is ideal when very fast weighing is required and where the sheep race flow is very good. This mode allows the waiting animal to immediately follow the animal that is exiting the clamp, speeding up flow and throughput.

3

CONTINUOUS FLOW

In this mode the entry gate is set to ‘open’ and the ‘Manual’ operation is selected on the dashboard. This is ideal where only occasional animals are being dagged or drafted. The ‘Manual’ operation switch turns the ‘Eyes OFF’. The sheep can run through the handler and the clamp is only activated, when the remote button or foot pedal is activated meaning that only sheep needing attention are clamped.

4

FAST DRENCHING

In this mode the entry gate is set to ‘Open’. This allows the next sheep to be waiting immediately behind the animal being drenched and greatly speeds up overall throughput. The clamp and backing hook are automatically activated. This mode is not recommended for weighing as it is possible that two sheep could be on the weighing platform at the same time.

Integrated EID Reader for Racewell HandlersThe EID reader that’s out of sight but not out of mind.

The integrated ePanel reader is a compact, unobtrusive antenna that ensures the EID ear tag is accurately read, no matter where the sheep’s head is positioned. The ePanel system allows the side wall of your sheep handler to be fully functional, it will not interfere with its normal operation. The major advantage is that the ePanel Reader is an integrated solution as opposed to a panel reader stuck on to the wall.

The antenna is very close to the sheep’s EID tag, making false reads very rare. The reader can be retrofitted to any current model Racewell Sheep Handler. See Page 24 for more info on the Integrated EID readers for Racewell.

FEATURES

• No visual obstruction of sheep• Integrated design allows hands-free operation• Buzzer and confirm tag read and power status• High reading range for all type of HDX and FDX-B ear tags

compatible with ISO standard 11784/5• Larger read area than retrofitted panels due to integrated design

and tuned to suit handler.• Runs off same power supply as the machine with no

exposed cables• Patented fast auto-tuning antenna maximises read performance

and simplifies reader system setup• Powered by external 12V battery or by an optional mains adapter• Removable control unit with rugged plugs allows it to be taken

away for storage and security• Connects by Bluetooth or serial cable to most EID enabled weigh

scales including Tru-Test, Gallagher and Te Pari

COMPATIBLE WITH SCALES AND SOFTWARE

Scales The Racewell Handler will work with Te Pari, Tru-Test and Gallagher scales indicators that have the auto drafting function. Each brand has different capabilities and features so talk to a product consultant to identify the best scale solution for your operation.

RACEWELL DR AUTO DRAFTERPrecision weighing and drafting for more

profit in your pocket.

The Racewell DR Auto Drafter is a highly efficient, dedicated weighing and drafting sheep system that will help any sheep producer improve the profitability of their operation.

One of the Racewell DR Auto Drafter’s most innovative features is the integration of loadcells into the overhead steel frame. This keeps the loadcells and electronics above the

animals and well away from any dirt build-up around the bottom of the machine where loadbars have traditionally been located. The overhead loadcells also allow the weigh crate

to have a low entry height for improved animal flow. The hanging design of the weighing crate also means that the entry gate is not part of the weighing zone. This prevents sheep

in the race pushing against the entry gate and affecting the weight reading.

The modern, sleek design of the Te Pari Racewell Auto Drafters includes a strong steel frame with plastic guards covering the working areas of the machine, keeping all

electronics and wires safely hidden and out of harm’s way. The 4-button remote operates every function of the drafter while the adjustable optical sensors or ‘magic eyes’ control

the opening and closing of the gates.

Draft better with the trusted name in sheep handling.

HOW IT WORKS

As the sheep enters the Racewell Drafter the rear gate is automatically closed when the optical sensor or ‘magic eye’ is triggered. When the rear gate is closed the weighing cycle automatically starts. When the weighing is completed, a drafting gate is opened and the sheep exits into a pre-determined pen. The entire process is done in a matter of seconds, meaning minimal stress for both the operator and animal.

If a second animal tries to enter the weigh crate and gets caught in the rear gate, the intelligent auto sensing gate system will reopen and close the gate without operator intervention. In many situations this will clear the jam allowing the drafter to continue with minimal interruption in animal flow.

FEATURES

• 3 or 5 way auto drafting based on weight or animal criteria• Entry and exit gates are part of the weighing crate, for more

accurate weighing • Standard with both mains power cable and battery clips • Multi-function remote to control entry/exit and drafting gates• Automatic closing of the entry gate activated by the sensors• Intelligent entry gate assists in preventing jam ups• Twin adjustable optical sensors or ‘magic eyes’ for optimum

speed and flow• Self-contained frame for easy positioning on uneven ground• Manual drafting by sight with remote control• Quiet pneumatic operation • Integrated overhead load cells eliminate loadbar failures and

cable damage• Rugged, hot dip galvanised construction and a well proven design

for long life and high resale value• Low entry height for improved animal flow• Quiet rubber floor eliminates sunlight glare• Mounting position for lead up panels to prevent young lambs

turning around and improve flow• The entry gate is not part of the weighing zone preventing waiting

animals from effecting the weighing.

CASE STUDY

Dave Dalziel Manawa Station, Wairarapa

It did save me its cost in labour alone in the first year, but it was more than that - it is so easy to use and always 100% accurate. I can be sure when drafting for weight, age, sex, anything really, that the handler will give me accurate totals and have the right stock in the right pens. It saves time energy and stress and definitely money. We couldn’t operate the farm on the resources we have without it.

CASE STUDY

Jay Lewis Ontario, Canada

The Racewell Handler is fast, accurate and efficient. The lambs are identified, sorted by weight, and checked for defects or illnesses. We have used other handling equipment in the past, it has not produced the same results. The time and money we’ve saved using Te Pari handling equipment cannot be calculated. It’s priceless!

CASE STUDIES.

From Oamaru to Ontario, farmers across the globe rely on Racewell to increase their productivity.

CASE STUDY

Hayden Ashby Brownrigg Agriculture - Hastings, New Zealand

Before the Racewell systems were introduced, we would have up to four labour units involved with weighing large lines and drafting them up. They could put through about 700 lambs an hour if the going was good. With Racewell we can do 700 – 900 lambs an hour with just a single labour unit and a good dog. These lambs are weighed and drafted at the same time and can also be dagged if required.

SEAMLESS TECHNOLOGY FOR SERIOUS LIVESTOCK PRODUCERS.

BENEFITS OF WEIGHINGWHY WEIGH YOUR LIVESTOCK?

Te Pari offers the best in animal management tools which enables the farmer to accurately and regularly weigh livestock.

• This enables the farmer to manage growth rates, check slaughter weights and finish stock to contract putting the farmer back in control of the business and unlocking hidden profitability.

• Te Pari’s innovative design and use of new technologies streamline all forms of animal handling to ensure faster, safer and more efficient workflows.

• Te Pari weigh systems gather the information needed to manage stock performance.

ANIMAL MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS.EID READERS, SCALES, PLATFORMS & DOSING GUNS

Farmers across the globe are pushing for that extra ‘edge’ to help them achieve gains and profitability. Add to this the ‘pull factor’ of compliance, regulation, traceability and the demands of meat processors and farmers find themselves caught in a constant struggle to achieve more.

Te Pari’s animal management solutions remove the guesswork and replace it with hard, tangible data - data that allows farmers to weigh, record and view an individual animal’s progress. This in turn gives farmers much greater control over herd or mob genetics and timing of when is the best time to sell stock. It’s this control that is the pathway to improving profitability and sustainability.

BOOST PERFORMANCE

The Te Pari range of EID readers has been developed to give farmers a simple, practical and easy-to-use animal identification solution. Te Pari’s range of EID equipment is rugged, innovative and guaranteed to last, saving time and money and increasing the farmer’s ability to manage the animals.

WHAT IS EID?

Electronic Identification (EID) gives you the ability to track individual animals through their entire life cycle via an electronic ear tag.

WHAT IS AN EID EAR TAG?

Commonly referred to as Electronic ID, EID or RFID (radio frequency identification), the ear tag incorporates an air coil antenna system enclosed within a modified small female tag. This durable construction helps the transponder withstand tough environmental conditions.

EID ear tags for livestock are considered passive tags because they have no battery or power source of their own. The tags are activated when they pass within the transmission field of a reader. These tags are available in a tamper-proof design and can be pared with visual ID tags with the matching 15-digit EID number printed on the visual tag as well.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

Using Electronic Identification (EID) ear tags can significantly speed up the weighing process, reduce errors from manual input and offer potential labour savings. When read by an EID reader, the EID tag automatically triggers the weigh scale indicator to recognise the animal, record the weight against it and bring up other information relevant to the animal. Over time, an animal’s weight history can be tracked, good and bad performers can be identified and the input of resources managed to ensure profits are maximised.

EID SYSTEMS.

Knowledge is power. Get to know your livestock.

ADVANTAGES WITH USING EID EAR TAGS

• Provides the basis to quickly and accurately collect data on individual animals.

• Eliminates the need for “line of sight” reading necessary with visual and barcode systems.

• The signal can penetrate body, tissue, wood, plastic, mud, manure and more.

• EID tags are passive. EID ear tags require no battery so they will last for the life of the animal.

MAXIMISING RETURNS WITH EID

Within any grouping of animals, there will always be a level of variation in the performance of individual animals. Under traditional mob-based management you will always have significant variations. EID systems allow producers to maximise returns from the most productive animals, whilst minimising the cost incurred from the least productive. Electronic identification is not the solution to all your problems, it is simply a tool that makes all the necessary data collection more accurate, more labour efficient, easier and therefore enables you to base your decisions on reliable data giving you confidence. Integrated EID Reader for Racewell Handlers Out of sight but not out of mind.

The problem of fitting an EID reader to the moving side wall of the handler has been solved. The ePanel antenna is integrated into the side wall of the sheep handler.

BENEFITS

• No visual obstruction of sheep• Integrated design allows hands-free operation• Buzzer and confirm tag read and power status• High reading range for all type of HDX and FDX-B ear tags

compatible with ISO standard 11784/5• Patented fast auto-tuning antenna maximises read performance

and simplifies reader system setup• Bluetooth communication standard• Powered by external 12V battery or by an optional mains adapter• Removable control unit with rugged plugs allows it to be taken

away for storage and security• Connects directly to most EID enabled weigh scales including

Tru-Test, Gallagher and Te Pari

QUICK TIP:

The clamping wall of the Racewell Handler has been specially insulated to accommodate the ePanel System. The insulated frame prevents any reduction of of read range caused by steelwork that is nearby.

Integrated eRail EID Reader for Cattle Crushes The patented eRail ‘dual gate’ system is an EID antenna that is integrated into the crush’s side gate.

Successfully reading ear tags in a metal cattle crush is a challenge due to the ‘noise’ or interference that is created by the steel gates. However, after strenuous testing and the incorporation of some innovative technology, the Te Pari eRail System ensures all stock are read accurately, even those moving quickly or with their heads down low. As the antenna is actually part of the steel gate, it is extremely robust making it ideal for the environment in which it operates. Being totally integrated into the gate, it allows easy access to the animal if required and means there is no visual restriction which can be caused by a mounted panel EID reader on the outside of a crush gate.

HOW IT WORKS

The eRail gate is energised by the eRail controller and creates an electromagnetic field that energises the passive ear tags. The energised tags then emit their unique ID number back to the EID controller and scale system. The eRail gate on one side is powered and the gate on the other side echoes the field created. This results in a read range right across the crush allowing ear tags to be read no matter which ear they are in.

FEATURES

• No visual obstruction of headbail• Active reader on both sides of crush provides class leading

read range • Rugged steel construction• Integrated design allows hands free operation• Bluetooth communication standard• Powered by external 12V battery or by an optional mains adapter• Removable control unit with rugged plugs allows it to be taken

away for storage

THE IMPORTANCE OF PRECISION

The foundation for better livestock management is weighing. Weighing replaces guesswork with hard data. Having access to current livestock stock data allows the farmer to effectively manage individual animals to maintain peak condition.

THE PROBLEM

Overdosing and under-dosing of animals is a serious issue in animal health. Overdosing may lead to toxicity problems and requires extended withdrawal times prior to slaughter. This prolongs the time the animal needs to spend on farm which eats into the profit locked in the animal. Another obvious consequence is the loss of the wasted product.

Under-dosing of animals may lead to lack of efficacy of the product involved. Under-dosing anthelmintics may result in cattle to retain a significant worm burden and will have poorer performance than anticipated. Under-dosing antimicrobials may lead to poor treatment responses and even lead to death. Under-dosing with these types of products has potentially far greater economic ramifications than the expense of excess product typically associated with overdosing.

WHAT THE STUDIES SHOW?

A retrospective analysis of 6,231 head of pasture grazed and feedlot cattle comprising 24 separate lots was conducted by Kansas State University, to evaluate the extent of improper dosing that would have occurred if all animals in each lot were treated with a single dosage level of a pharmaceutical product based upon the average weight of the lot. Assuming that the average weight of each lot was used to determine the dosage of either an anthelmintic or a metaphylactic antimicrobial treatment for all animals in the lot, the extent and degree of potential individual animal improper dosing was calculated.

CONCLUSION

In summary the following occurred:• 27% of animal were overdosed with some

animals receiving 25% more treatment than needed

• 21.8% of animals were under dosed with 8.4% of animals and received 15% less treatment than required

TOOLS THAT DON'T JUST DO TASKS BUT DO TASKS BETTER.

ANIMAL HUSBANDRY.DOCKING & CALF REARING

Farmers are hard on gear. Tools get put down after the job is done, forgotten and picked up next time and expected to perform as they did before. No farmer enjoys being held up because of tool failure and that’s why quality and accuracy wins every time. Getting it right saves valuable time. Te Pari’s range of specialised livestock products ensures the job gets done like it should – and what’s more, they’re built to last, which means the job gets done properly and on time, every time.

Eze Bloodless CastratorThe Eze Castrator is a non-surgical system for the effective castration of cattle.

This system is unique because it is suitable for castrating larger calves. Being a bloodless method, the Eze Bloodless Castrator minimises setbacks, risk of infection and deaths associated with surgical castration.

XL CastratorThe new XL Castrator is suitable for castrating older calves from 4 to 6 months age.

The XL Castrator uses a heavy-duty latex ring system to castrate; opening to 90mm x 70mm x 70mm in the shape of a triangle. The ring is 19mm in outside diameter, 10mm in width and covered in antiseptic powder. The operator does not have to clench the handle when the ring is expanded. Once the ring has been placed over the scrotum the operator releases the castrator’s lever to remove the ring.

Tri-Band CastratorProven and popular castration method for calves up to 2 to 4 months or approximately 150kg.

The castrator has a large opening size of 55mm x 55mm x 60mm in a triangle shape. It allows superior single-handed control; when the handle is pulled back, it over centres and will stay open by itself, making placement of the ring easier. Also the ‘golden’ coloured Tri-band rings have a square profile which stops the ring rolling off the prongs of the castrator.

Tail docking of lambs remains an important husbandry practice in order to maintain good animal health. Docking removes most of the lamb’s tail to prevent build-up of dags on the wool around the sheep’s back end. Dags attract strike by blowfly. The sheep become “blown” and the flies’ maggots eat the sheep’s flesh, causing great pain and distress.

BENEFITS

• Reduces dag formation and thus minimises susceptibility to fly-strike

• Improves external parasite control • Improves the efficiency of dagging, crutching and shearing • Allows for management flexibility to finish lambs under variable

weather conditions • Improves the cleanliness of the wool • Reduces handling required pre-slaughter for crutching/dagging • Reduces faecal contamination and risks to food safety at livestock

processing plants

HOW IT WORKS

The wedge-shaped iron blade heated by gas, is used to both cut and cauterise the tail in one operation. The lamb is held in an inverted position by a cradle or chute. To avoid infections, do not dock wet lambs or in wet weather. Leave enough dock on the lamb to fully cover the vulva.

The Te Pari Heatshield has been designed to fit the Original Te Pari Docking Irons. It mounts on the main pivot and the shield reduces heat build up in the handles for increased operator comfort.

Original Docking IronThe LPG fired, scissor-action Docking Iron has been extensively field tested and proven to be fast, easy to use and reliable. The large copper searing head ensures excellent heat retention helping minimise blood losses and ensuring quicker healing. The Standard model is ideal when docking in sheltered and mild weather conditions. The High Wind Model features a larger jet and burner for use in cold weather or exposed locations. Full range of spare parts and repairs are available.

Patesco Docking IronBased on the proven design of the Original Docking Iron, the Patesco model features a rotating anvil that stretches the wooled skin toward the end of the tail.

After docking the stretched wooled skin, the remaining skin pulls back and the bare skin from underneath heals very quickly around the end of the tail. Because the bare skin grows much faster than the wooled skin the result is a small bare area on the top of the end of the tail. This area on the top of the end of the tail is of sufficient size that the wool will not grow long enough to fall over the end of the docked tail and allow dags to form.

FEATURES

• Proven burner system • Copper alloy searing head

for swift heat up, heat retention and longer life

• Heatshield prevents heat build-up on handle

• A holder that deflects spent gas back over cutting head preventing cooling and gas wastage

FEATURES

• Patented rotating anvil system stretches wooled skin during docking process

• Improved leverage and balance

• Copper searing head for excellent heat retention

With more than 20 years’ proven performance, the Te Pari Tailing Chute is an efficient and practical design to help farmers save time and money. The vee-roller “conveyor belt” design allows simple, safe and speedy loading and unloading of lambs. The chute fits between three and seven lambs, who can be lamb marked simultaneously by two or more operators. It’s ideal for drenching, ear marking, tailing, castrating and vaccinating lambs. The tipper unit allows the lambs to be tipped out of the chute rather than pulled and dropped. HOW IT WORKS

To set up the Te Pari Tailing Chute, simply attach the loading end of the cradle on the top rail of your lamb-catching pen and adjust the height of the other end of the cradle to suit the operator tailing. The chute’s restraining bars can be adjusted according to the size of the lambs.  One operator loads the lambs into the cradle and can also ear tag, ear mark and vaccinate. Another operator stands at the other end of the cradle, where they castrate and dock lambs.

With one or more operators working on either side of the cradle, the system can comfortably process more than six lambs a minute.  Once lamb marking is complete, lambs are pulled out of the cradle by their back legs and dropped onto their feet. MODEL

• Tipper model – 1.9m long

FEATURES

• Top roller to help ease lambs into the cradle• Rollers are UV-stabilised high-density polyethylene mounted in a

patented vee-roller configuration• Metal components are zinc-plated for long life• Adjustable leg-holders ensure high tail position for positive

SHEEP JETTER

The Te Pari Sheep Jetter helps you control both fly and lice in your flock, using 20 jets that are strategically positioned to target the affected

areas.

The Te Pari Sheep Jetter is a proven design based on simplicity and reliability that can process up to 1000 sheep/hour. It is predominantly manufactured from stainless steel for durability. The strong, compact frame has few moving parts which means less maintenance. The unit comes

complete with all necessary pipework including cam-lock fittings, and intake filter.

Sheep Jetting offers a very effective way to dip sheep. An accepted modern system that gives absolute confidence to farmers by controlling external parasites. Apply what you need, where you need it. With jets on the top, sides and underneath, you can get exact coverage of the sheep, which means you won’t waste expensive products by using more than what is needed or less than what

is required to achieve your desired results.

A totally enclosed unit ensures any spray drift is limited protecting you from chemical exposure.

Sheep Jetting is a more efficient and cost effective way to apply topical liquids than sheep dipping: you can easily get through 800 – 1000 sheep per hour and 1500 sheep per hour as an absolute

maximum!

Save time and keep your flock healthy.

HOW IT WORKS

Aimed at dealing with flystrike or lice, the unit gets the active liquid treatment to skin level, from the poll, over the shoulders and along the back line, then over the rump, down around the crotch and around the pizzle area. The unit itself is light yet strong and can be easily moved into position. The jetting system is triggered as animals move down the race and are detected by the electronic sensor.

The spray valve, activated after detecting the animal, achieves instant jetting, sending a continuous stream that ensures maximum wetting. It is recommended that animals move through the race in no more than one per second for best results.

FEATURES

• Electric sensor activation improves animal flow• Battery operated for use in remote locations• Stainless steel construction• Tapered V Frame to centralise animals of different size• No moving parts reducing maintenance.• Larger solid stream nozzles operating reduce spray drift reducing

improving operator safety• Twin overhead spray bars with 10 nozzles/bar• Single bottom spray bar with 3 nozzles• Requires: Honda 5.5hp petrol engine with a Davey Fighter pump.

CASE STUDY

Mark and SallyAnn Copland Gore, Southland

We did a lot of research into different yards, we looked at building a set, the other competition out there and then we looked at Te Pari Yards.

The way the cattle flow through the yards has been good and they don’t seem to thrash around and fight, they know they’re not going to break them, they can feel it and they just react accordingly. The gates all shut and clip nicely, the man-gates are great.

One thing that really sold me on these yards was the way the steel was properly galvanised. If you look at the holes where the joins are and the galv goes inside, it’s as clean as a whistle. The cheaper options that I looked at, had a lot of rust dribbling down, so I was very sceptical that the galv had got right inside the steel. If it’s properly galvanised, it’s going to last.

The other thing we looked at was ongoing maintenance, you put them up and that’s the end of it, no repairs or maintenance. I look forward to many many years of long life and good use with my Te Pari Cattle Yards and Crush.

WHAT YOU GET WITH A TITAN.

4 innovative features of the Titan Cattle Crush

EXTRA LONG ANIMAL COMPARTMENT

The 2.75m Titan Crush’s animal compartment is the longest in the industry and allows large cattle to be worked on without having to restrain them in the headbail. This results in a more relaxed animal and improves operator safety.

ERAIL DUAL GATE EID READER

The patented Te Pari eRail ‘dual gate’ system is an EID antenna that is integrated into the Titan side gate system. The eRail system provides a large read field ensuring all stock are read accurately, even those moving quickly or with their head down low. As the antenna is actually part of the steel gate, it is extremely robust and there are no visual or functional restrictions that can be caused by retrofitted panel readers.

INTEGRATED LOADCELLS

The integrated loadcells are incorporated into the main chassis rail at the bottom of the crush. The cables are routed internally to the control panel for connection to the scale indicator. This provides the ultimate protection for the loadcells, eliminating cable damage and downtime. The crush floor height from the ground is lower providing a lower entry height for improved cattle flow. Titan range only.

CONTROL CONSOLE

The control panel at the rear of the crush is standard on all Titan Crushes. This control panel allows you to mount your weigh scale at an ideal height. A lockable cover fits to the front of the control panel keeping the weigh scale and control units out of the weather and secured from theft. Also included in the control panel is a storage tray for your tools, tags and belongings, and a cupboard where the air regulators, EID reader control units, battery and the like are conveniently stored out of the way.

WHAT YOU GET WITH A TAURUS.

4 innovative features of the Taurus Crush

WALK-THROUGH HEADBAIL

The wide opening design of the Taurus 1000 Headbail has no obstructions for a cattle beast to trip or stumble on as it is exiting. The sheeted doors also provide a visual barrier. When the doors are partially open the floor to ceiling gap encourages the animal forward. This headbail uses a simple quiet friction locking system that automatically locks in any position, to ensure your cattle work is easy.

OFFSIDE DRAFT HANDLE

The offside drafting handle allows the operator on the working side of the crush to open and close the offside gate by way of an overhead handle located at the rear of the crush. This allows cattle to be drafted directly out of the crush without the operator having to leave the working area. This handle is optional on all models.

ANTI-SLIP BACKING BAR SYSTEM

This innovative system prevents the backing bar from slipping out sideways and causing an injury to the operator. Traditionally when an animal is in the crush any tail-end sideways movement could cause the backing bar to be pushed sideways out of the crush, sometimes at considerable speed potentially causing injury to the operator.

COMPACT SLIDING GATE

This innovative gate design features a compact top rail that minimises any protrusion into the working area and also an auto-lock latch to prevent the cattle from muzzling the gate open.

Taurus HD3 Cattle Crush Fully Automatic Drafting System

The beating heart of cattle management.

This system is capable of handling large numbers of cattle quickly, safely, and with minimal operator input. It can be set up to draft out of the crush or by utilising the drafting gates in front of the crush. The Taurus HD3 is THE machine to collect stock data. Utilising the cattle EID tags and the unique Te Pari eRail Gate EID reader, individual animals can be weighed, tracked and recorded easily without any operator intervention. “Draft Lists” such as breed, status, sex can be created and set up in the scale system to automatically draft the cattle based on these pre-set criteria. Growth rates can also be monitored to ensure animal health and performance is tracked and maintained. Tracking growth rates and development in cattle means better productivity and profitability. The class leading Te Pari Taurus Cattle Automatic Drafting System offers the most comprehensive solution available.

HOW IT WORKS

The Taurus HD3 system uses compressed air to open and close the entry and various exit gates. After the animal enters the crush the rear sliding gate is automatically closed, and the weighing cycle starts. When a stable weight is recorded the appropriate exit/drafting gate is automatically opened and the animal is released. With the 5 function handheld radio remote control, the operator can control the main functions of the crush and the draft gates from a distance.

FEATURES

• Pneumatic control of Headbail, Sliding Gate, Parallel Squeeze and Drafting Gates

• 5 function radio remote control• Lockable control console at rear of crush for controls, scale

indicator and EID battery storage• Double sided parallel Squeeze System for optimum

animal restraint• Te Pari C1000 Headbail with a quiet, simple locking system and a

CONFIGURATIONS

Crush with 3 Way Draft Module (most popular option): This configuration is called ‘inline drafting’ The cattle leave the crush and are directed out drafting gates in front. This configuration is very safe and efficient to use as it provides a faster sequence time.

Draft out of Crush: This configuration uses the side gates of the Cattle Crush as the drafting gates. Pneumatic rams open and close the side gates automatically. This suits situations that have limited length. The yard design for this set up needs to consider operator safety as the cattle could exit into the working area

3 REASONS TO CHOOSE A TAURUS HD3 AUTO DRAFTING CATTLE CRUSH

Manual operation of headbail and sliding gates: No power no problem - the headbail and sliding gate can be operated manually. This is handy if you only need to attend to a single animal as this can be done manually without turning on the compressor.

Radio remote control: The radio remote control is a compact design with large buttons for easy operation. The remote controls up to 6 functions including drafting gates x2, race sliding gates, crush sliding gate, parallel squeeze and headbail. Remote can swtich from auto to manual mode allowing proportional control of the headbail when catching cattle.

Sliding gate in the race: The addition of extra sliding gate in the race, situated one animal length back from the cattle crush, helps cattle flow and throughput. The radio remote control allows the operator to open and close the gate to control the flow of stock without having to be there. The addition of a race sliding gate improves the overall throughput of the Taurus HD3 Auto Drafting Crush.

KEY BENEFITS

Labour The Taurus HD3 Crush system can help with labour efficiency by reducing staff requirements in the yards. This also minimises human contact which reduces stock stress. Operator efficiency is increased, and staff skills are maximised, potentially reducing management costs. Drafting decisions can be made in the office.

Identification Identification is also made easier with accurate automatic reading of individual animal ID tags that can be read through mud, water and flesh. This assists in identifying low performing animals as well as the best performing farms and paddocks.

Integration and Safety The Taurus HD3 Crush system is easily integrated into existing stock handling facilities and is available in two configurations – drafting out of the crush side gates or using drafting gates in front of the crush. This system also provides the opportunity for a ‘cattle-free’ safe area in your cattle yard which creates a better, safer work environment, potentially enhancing staff retention and job satisfaction.

Stock Management When used in conjunction with weigh scales and an EID reader the Taurus HD3 Crush system helps with stock management by automatically identifying animals for drafting based on weight, or other criteria such as treatments, sex, breeding info and farm location. Through enhanced stock monitoring, audits, better animal management and recorded data, the system has the ability to detect animal health issues quickly and efficiently which ultimately assists in maximising farm profit and stock turnover.

Financial benefits Many livestock producers have proved that using EID readers in conjunction with an automatic drafting machine can provide significant financial benefit. The investment for an Taurus HD3 Crush system on a per animal basis is small compared to the potential to realise more productivity from your operation.

The Pneumatic System UpgradePneumatic powered with manual lever control.

The Pneumatic System upgrade powers the headbail and sliding gate making these functions super easy and quick to use. The pneumatic upgrade takes the work out of operating the crush making it ideal for situations where a lot of weighing is done.

If the air supply is not available or to simply handle a couple of animals the crush can be operated completely manually. The pneumatic rams can be easily disconnected to release all pressure in the rams allowing the user to operate the crush with the manual handles.

FEATURES

• Pneumatic control of headbail and sliding gate• Manual lever valves provide proportional control• Controls mounted on top frame at rear of crush

When the sliding gate is pneumatically controlled it is recommended that it slides away from the operator as pictured. 12 CFM compressor is required for operation of pneumatic system.

QUICK TIPS:

The Pneumatic System is a great way to take the shoulder work out of weighing cattle. It is popular with older operators or those that have shoulder/elbow injuries.

STEEL THE BESTAt Te Pari Products we take quality seriously.

We use top quality raw materials and have thorough quality control systems in place.

Galvanised in NZ not just to last but to outlast. A Te Pari Cattle Crush, Cattle Yard or Sheep Handler is an investment you want to last, so all steel components are hot dip galvanised. During galvanising every item is cleaned in acid to remove all traces of scale or rust, then dipped in a hot galvanising zinc which coats it completely, even in places unreachable with spray or powder coating. Testing has proven that the galvanising process does not weaken the steel in any way. The galvanising actually becomes part of the steel surface for superior rust protection - hence our class leading 10 Year Galvanising Warranty!

The 3-Way Draft Module UpgradesThe cost effective livestock handling ‘kitset’.

Pneumatic or Hydraulic UpgradeTake your sorting or drafting to the next level if using a Pneumatic or Hydraulic Cattle Crush by upgrading the control of your drafting gates. Pneumatic or Hydraulic rams are mounted on the drafting gates with the controls integrated with the main controls for the crush at the rear.

Auto Drafting UpgradeCost effective auto draft solution.

Powered by pneumatic rams the draft gates can be operated automatically or manually from the compact control unit that is mounted on the crush or weigh crate. The Auto Drafting upgrade only powers the drafting gates and utilises your existing, manually operated weigh crate or Cattle Crush

The control unit has a warning light to indicate that the scale is on and the power is connected. A larger warning light indicates when an animal is ready to be drafted from the weighing zone. This system will greatly increase the efficiency and accuracy of your drafting by eliminating the ‘on the spot decisions’ helping you improve labour efficiency, safety and stock management.

HEADBAIL RANGE

It’s the headbail that takes pride of place at the business end of every Te Pari crush - the Taurus

1000 Headbail - and for a very good reason - strength!

Animals hit the headbail with extreme force. Te Pari headbails are engineered to withstand anything that’s thrown at them making animal restraint safer for beast and operator. This makes a standalone

Taurus 1000 Headbail the ideal retrofit solution for animal restraint in your existing yards. The healthcare of any herd of cattle is almost impossible without a headbail. It is often considered the

yard’s most important feature.

The Te Pari range of headbails is sturdy, safe, easy to operate and has a quiet action. Headbails can be manually operated, but pneumatic and hydraulic options are available. In general terms there are two types of headbails; self-catching headbails and full opening manual concertina-style headbails. Self-

catching headbails such as the Te Pari Automatic Headbail can be adjusted to accommodate different size animals. The vertical double doors swing in automatically to lock when the animal moves forward.

This gate is intended for quieter cattle without horns. Full opening headbails, such as the Taurus C1000, are more appropriate for a group of mixed sized cattle because they do not need adjustment for different size animals. The doors slide in from each side and lock at any position. No matter what type

of headbail you select, it is important that it is fitted, adjusted correctly and maintained. Te Pari headbails are designed for safe and easy operation, with minimal maintenance.

YARD SYSTEMS.SYSTEMS, PLANS & RAMPS

Smart, efficient galvanised steel yard systems taking pride of place on high producing farms across the country. You may wonder what the advantages are of these yards over more traditional timber options. The fact is, farmers turning to Te Pari steel yards are catching on to the extreme range of benefits for them and their livestock. Safety, ease of use and adaptability are key when it comes to building cattle yards.

GETTING GOOD ADVICE

Building a new set of cattle yards is a major capital investment and one that most people will only do a few times in their life.

It is imperative to get the best advice on the design and location of your new facilities. Te Pari recommends that you speak with your local livestock transport provider, your vet and if possible other people in your area that have recently invested in a new set of yards. Sometimes the best advice is not what to do, but rather, ‘what not to do’.

If you get the opportunity to visit a Te Pari steel yard and maybe work in it, take it. You will be able to see the design in action and appreciate it so much better.

SYSTEM PLANS

Designed with animal behaviour and your safety in mind - the ‘science and design’

behind a Te Pari Cattle Yard

Good yard design is all about maximising cattle flow and ‘natural herding instincts’ in the yard, getting them through the system as fast as possible

and back to pasture to keep packing on weight.

Yard flow minimises stress on the animals, it saves you time, worry and money and enables you to monitor and maintain your stock’s condition.

Te Pari yard designs have been honed over the years to bring you the smartest, strongest manufactured yards packed full of features to keep

you and your animals safe and calm.

Harnessing natural cattle behaviour for better safety.

to own a Te Pari steel yard...

8 REASONS

1

CATTLE FLOW Cattle have a natural tendency to circle their handler, so Te Pari designs circular yards to allow cattle to flow much better. Research shows circular yards can be up to 30% more efficient than square or rectangular yards thus allowing a much higher throughput of cattle.

2

CATTLE-FREE ZONE AND ACCESS GATES Many Te Pari yard designs include a ‘cattle-free’ working area which provides the operator a safe and secure area to work and store supplies. Personnel access gates are included in many designs and are vital to allow the operator to exit a pen quickly and easily without the need to climb over fences.

3

CATWALK ON THE INSIDE OF THE RACE A catwalk on the inside of the curved handling race is another learning that Te Pari likes to use when designing yards. This reduces the walking distance when working cattle, and also makes it easier to move up and down the race without stirring up the cattle.

4

CURVED RACE AND FORCING PEN Curved narrow races encourage animals to move to the front of the yard, and a circular forcing gate lets you reduce the size of the forcing pen as cattle enter, eliminating the need to climb into the pen which is a huge safety benefit.

5

TAX DEDUCTIBLE Construction of a Te Pari steel yard is likely to be a tax deductible expense in the year that it occurs. For more information be sure to check with your accountant or seek professional advice.

6

QUICK TO INSTALL Investing in a Te Pari steel yard will allow you to get straight back to the real work of farming with minimal distraction. Installation only takes 1-3 days depending on the size of the yard and the amount of groundwork that needs to be done. Te Pari offers a turnkey solution when it comes to building your yards. From start to finish, Te Pari can supervise the process to keep downtime to a minimum.

7

LESS MANPOWER NEEDED One person is all you need to operate a Te Pari steel yard. Curved narrow races encourage animals to move to the front of the yard and a circular forcing gate lets you reduce the size of the forcing pen as cattle enter, eliminating the need to climb into the pen – a huge safety benefit.

8

VIRTUALLY MAINTENANCE-FREE It is ultra-quick to install, you can get straight back to the real work, with stronger, safer steel yards. All are hot dip galvanised to eliminate corrosion, plus many of our yards can be completely relocated to another site.

of a Te Pari steel yard...

10 FEATURES

1

NZ-MADE ANTI-BRUISE RAILS All yards are built with top quality NZ-made oval tubing called Cattlerail on all horizontal rails. This tube has the strength of a square tube however the large flat side makes it animal friendly - no single pressure points and no sharp edges. Deflection analysis has shown that Cattlerail is the strongest in its class.

2THE ULTIMATE GATE SYSTEM This patented gate design has no bottom brace reducing ‘muck build up’ in the yards and eliminating trip hazards.

3

HOT DIP GALVANISED All steel components are hot dip galvanised and rust proof. During galvanising each yard component is cleaned in acid to remove all traces of scale or rust, then dipped in galvanising zinc, coating it completely in places unreachable by spray or powder coating.

4THE U-BOW SYSTEM The U-Bow system is uniquely manufactured to leave the upper area of the race completely free of any obstructions or overhead braces.

5

C-FORCE GATE SYSTEM The Super C-Force Gate System is an optional heavy-duty 3.2m revolving steel gate which reduces the size of a circular force pen as the cattle enter the race. The gate locks quietly into the special gates of the circular pen every 0.5m, moving the cattle up to the race. The pen can hold approximately 15 head of cattle meaning the operator can process 2-3 race loads of cattle before having to refill from the main pens. Almost no need to climb into the forcing pen.

6PROVEN DESIGNS Te Pari has a wide range of proven plans designed for integration with crushes, scales and drafting systems.

7

WIDE CATWALK The Te Pari Cattle Yard uses catwalk braces that attach to the side rails of the panel and to the ground. Timber is then fastened to the braces, which are 1.0m wide, providing plenty of room for several people to work on the catwalk simultaneously. A handrail is optional and recommended in some designs where cattle are regularly held in the area next to the catwalk.

8

QUIET AND COMPACT SLAM LATCH DESIGN The nylon sleeved slam latches are super quiet and safer as animals are kept calm and stress free. The gate latches automatically from either side. The strike plate is extremely compact with rounded edge to prevent stock damage/bruising.

9CALF REDUCER SYSTEM This system allows the user to narrow the width of the race by moving the panels in. Quick and easy to adjust and prevents calves from turning around in the race.

10

DROP TOP PANEL SYSTEM Outside panels are 1.58m high and inside panels 1.45m high. The lower inside panels allow the operator to bend over and work the stock with ease. For large animals the optional Drop Top Panel System can be fitted to the inside of the race. These panels are 1.58m high, and the top rail folds down to the normal working height of 1.45m. This provides protection if handling large cattle and the option of easy access for younger stock.

A TURNKEY SOLUTION.

Knowledge and innovation combined to offer a superior experience.

We understand that cattle farming is a business and a passion, but also that markets are becoming more challenging and the pressure is on to perform in tougher conditions. There’s a lot to take into account when designing a stockyard system: number of cattle, mob size, land area, breed and what type of cattle is running. Te Pari’s experienced product consultants have been trained to facilitate the process and make the project run as smoothly as possible to enable the farmer to focus on running the business.

NEEDS, ANALYSIS AND CONCEPTS

It starts with one of Te Pari’s experienced product consultants visiting the farm to discuss the current and future requirements and how the system could be upgraded or altered should the farming system change. Te Pari has a range of standard plans to choose from, or the product consultants can assist in creating a custom yard design that suits the situation and requirements. Following the onsite visit, the information will be passed on to the CAD design team who creates a realistic 3D concept of the proposed yard.

SITE SELECTION

The location of cattle handling system is vital for improved efficiency and profitability. Te Pari sees hundreds of cattle yards each year and always consults with farmers on site to work out the best location. Features to take into account when searching for the perfect location are flow, entry and exit, light, loading, access, drafting and more. After the concept is drawn up, the farmer is provided with a scaled render of the yard on a Google Earth map positioned in the preferred location. This allows the farmer to see exactly what is store. Once the customer is happy with the plan and the order is confirmed, a bill of material is created and the yard goes into production.

EARTHWORKS

In today’s busy farming world the farmer need to focus on running the business, just like any business owner does. That’s why Te Pari coordinates and oversees the earthwork and drainage developments for many clients. If the farmer wants to do the earthworks themselves, the project management team will supply a concrete plan so that the yard area for site works can be prepared.

CONCRETE

Site preparation needs careful consideration and many modern cattle systems have a significant amount of the working area concreted. This prevents the main traffic areas getting muddy and provides a safer and cleaner working environment. Te Pari can supply and place the concrete for the site as part of the turnkey project.

DELIVERY

As part of your turnkey package Te Pari will delivery the yard right to your farm site and unload with a crane. This ensures each system arrives undamaged and is unloaded safely onto site.

INSTALLATION

When the site is ready, Te Pari’s own fully equipped installation team will erect and commission the yards. We take pride in assembling the cattle handling system correctly and handing over a functional yard, ready to go.

SPECIFICATIONS CASE STUDY

Mark MckenzieMaungahina Station – Masterton Home of Speckle Park Stud

40 years ago we had a set of wooden cattle yards that my father built. Those yards started to fall to bits as we started increasing our cow numbers. I looked at different options and competitors then got hold of Te Pari. They came out onsite and together we came up with a plan.

I went to steel yards because I wanted something that would last my lifetime and beyond. I can work these yard by myself, it’s not labour intensive at all. When you’re paying someone by the hour, you want things moving and going quickly.

Te Pari were very professional at what they did and that is why I enjoy working with them so much.

LOADING RAMPS

Re-designed loading systems that redefine loading livestock.

Loading cattle onto stock trucks and trailers is an important part of any cattle yard system. Generally cattle flow better if they are moved directly from the forcing pen to the loading ramp, or drafted off from early in the drenching race to the loading area.

Most Te Pari loading systems can be incorporated into a new or existing yard and are designed to be safe, strong and user-friendly.

Taking loading ramp design to the next level.

Stepped Loading RampStep up to greater safety for you and your livestock.

Having steps instead of a sloped surface drastically reduces slipping when the ramp is wet or mucky. The sides are fully sheeted for animal safety and a handrail on the catwalk ensures operator safety.

The optional flat top section makes unloading easier as the cattle come out of the truck onto a flat landing before descending the ramp. The flat top section also has an access door allowing the truck driver to get inside and at the same time close off the race from any cattle that are waiting.

FEATURES

• Patented stepped design for improved stock flow• 1.1m loading height with a hot dip galvanised frame• Catwalk on right hand side with handrail for operator safety• High impact polyethylene plastic sheeted sides for animal safety• 75 x 75 HD front frame for strength

MOBILE LOADING RAMP

This option takes the ramp right to the cattle. Ideal for loading and unloading at runoffs and lease blocks, or at sites where access to the main cattle yards is difficult. The mobile loading ramp can even be loaded up with Te Pari panels and gates to form a small, mobile cattle yard.

Stepped Loading Ramp is covered by Patent NZ718145

Dual Height Loading Ramp SystemReach new heights of loading efficiency.

This innovative loading system is designed to be mounted on a raised concrete base or at a bank and allows fast, easy and safe loading of cattle directly to the upper and lower decks of cattle trucks. Loading cattle directly onto the upper truck deck ensures a completely full load and reduces stress and PH levels in the cattle. Loading is much safer and quicker as many truck internal ramps are very steep and cattle tend to either baulk or take a run at the ramp. Both the upper and lower ramps are fitted with access gates allowing the operator to move into either truck deck with ease. A handrail on both levels of ramp ensures operator safety. At the entry to the Te Pari Dual Height Loading System is a sliding gate and diverter gate allowing the operator to easily switch loading between decks with no downtime. Without a doubt, the Te Pari Dual Height Loading System is the ultimate solution for safe and efficient cattle loading.

FEATURES

• Loads directly to both truck decks reducing cattle stress and ensuring full capacity truck loads

• Operator access gate on both upper and lower ramp • Patented stepped ramp design provide secure footing for cattle• Handrail on ramp for operator safety• Diversion gate and sliding gate at entry for easy loading of

either deck

Loading BanksA loading ramp you can bank on.

A loading bank is a good option if the site lends itself to this design. It is more cost effective than a raised ramp and extremely good to use, as cattle walk on at ground level directly into the cattle truck.

Most Te Pari Loading Banks include an access gate so that the operator can easily enter the truck and shut off remaining cattle in the race.

FEATURES

• Cost effective to build• Excellent cattle flow as cattle move on same level directly

to the truck

QUICK TIPS:

It is important that the loading ramp has sides of the ramp fully sheeted up to 600-700mm high. This prevents any chance of a hoof slipping out the side and causing injury to the animal. It also helps to keep the light out from the floor area of the ramp. As cattle generally go up or down a ramp with their heads down, it is important that there are no cracks of light in the floor or in the lower half of the sides as these could spook the cattle.
