Third Sunday of Easter April 25 & 26, 2020
We realize that you are not performing acts of service for recognition but we would love to be emailed pictures that depict acts of service. We will create a composite, the format yet to be determined, to share with our SEAS community. How is your family acting as disciples? Many of you are creatively serving others. It can be
anything from making cards or pictures for others, donating food or essential supplies to others, chalk sidewalk messages of hope/solidarity, etc. Email photos to Shelly Vann, Communications Coordinator, at [email protected]. #WeareSEAS

Spiritual Communion
My Jesus, I believe that you are present in the Most Holy Sacrament. I love you above all things, and I desire to receive you into my soul. Since I cannot at
this moment receive you sacramentally, come at least spiritually into my heart. I embrace you as if you were already there and unite myself wholly to you. Never permit me to be separated from you. Amen.

March 13, 2020
WASHINGTON- Archbishop José H.
Gomez of Los Angeles,
president of the U.S.
Conference of Catholic
Bishops, has issued the
following regarding
Coronavirus (COVID-19):
With the worldwide outbreak of the coronavirus,
we are confronted once more with the fragility of our lives, and again we are reminded of our
common humanity -— that the peoples of this
world are our brothers and sisters, that we are all
one family under God.
God does not abandon us, he goes with us even
now in this time of trial and testing. In this
moment, it is important for us to anchor our hearts in the hope that we have in Jesus Christ.
Now is the time to intensify our prayers and
sacrifices for the love of God and the love of our
neighbor. Let us draw closer to one another in
our love for him, and rediscover the things that truly matter in our lives.
United with our Holy Father Pope Francis, let us pray in solidarity for our brothers and sisters
here and around the world who are sick. Let us
pray for those who have lost loved ones to this
virus. May God console them and grant them
peace.
We pray also for doctors, nurses, and caregivers,
for public health officials and all civic leaders. May God grant them courage and prudence as
they seek to respond to this emergency with
compassion and in service to the common good.
In this time of need, I invite all the faithful to
seek together the maternal intercession of Our
Lady of Guadalupe, and I share this prayer with
you:
USCCB PRESIDENT’S REFLECTION AND PRAYER DURING CORONAVIRUS
Holy Virgin of Guadalupe,
Queen of the Angels and Mother of the Americas.
We fly to you today as your beloved children.
We ask you to intercede for us with your Son,
as you did at the wedding in Cana.
Pray for us, loving Mother,
and gain for our nation and world,
and for all our families and loved ones,
the protection of your holy angels,
that we may be spared the worst of this illness.
For those already afflicted,
we ask you to obtain the grace of healing and deliverance.
Hear the cries of those who are vulnerable and fearful,
wipe away their tears and help them to trust.
In this time of trial and testing,
teach all of us in the Church to love one another and to be patient and kind.
Help us to bring the peace of Jesus to our land and to our hearts.
We come to you with confidence,
knowing that you truly are our compassionate mother,
health of the sick and cause of our joy.
Shelter us under the mantle of your protection,
keep us in the embrace of your arms,
help us always to know the love of your Son, Jesus. Amen.
Our Lenten Giving Projects will go through June 1 this year. Projects are the Fresh Water for Villages in South Sudan and
Rice Bowls. Checks for either project can be made out to the parish and sent in via USPS. We suggest either holding on to your Rice Bowl with its assorted coins until June 1 or converting the
change to a check. All donations will be totaled with one check going to each charitable organization. Did you know that a
percentage of proceeds from Rice Bowl donations support local hunger and poverty alleviation efforts right here in the Diocese of Green Bay? Thank you!
It’s getting to that time of the year. We need help mowing and trimming the grounds here at church. There are three crews. Each crew is scheduled for every third week during the grass-cutting season. Two of the crews mow during daytime hours and one mows late afternoon/evenings. Substitutes and occasional crew members are also welcome. If you’re interest-ed, please contact John at [email protected] or 920.499.1546 x113. Thank you.
We extend our sympathy to parishioners
on the recent death of
Marty’s brother, Alfred Ochs.
Although the parish office remains closed to parishioners and visitors, due to safer-at-home guidelines, we are an-swering the phone Monday through Friday from 9am to 12 noon. 920.499.1546
The novel coronavirus is impacting all aspects of our society, but the GRACE (Green Bay Area Catholic School) system continues to provide academic and spiritual development for its nearly 2,250 students. Teachers have maintained lessons for students, and the entire team has been working diligently to support families and the system as a whole.
Also, we have extended our deadline to submit Financial Aid applications for the 2020-2021 school year. Applications now must be completed by May 15, 2020. For more information, please visit www.gracesystem.org, click the "Enrollment" tab and go to the "Tuition Assistance" section.
St. Elizabeth Ann Seton sponsors and partners with Holy Family Catholic School (grade school). We share a common bond in the importance of offering faith-based education in our community and strive to entwine our religious beliefs within daily learning environments of the students.
Financial Aid Deadline extended to May 15.

April 2020 Update To parishioners and friends of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton parish who have supported us and the families with children we serve by your prayers, time, talents and treasure, I would like to say thank you. Thank you for helping EPH to be here so that we can serve those in need during difficult and critical times. You have made a difference!
With the environment we are in during the COVID-19 pandemic, I wanted to update you with what is going on at EPH. Although our busi-ness office is physically closed and we cannot allow volunteers to serve during this time due to social distancing and safer-at-home guidelines, we are not an agency closing our doors. We are here helping families with children experiencing or at-risk of homelessness as much as ever, just a little differently. Although our families are struggling with job loss, lack of public trans-portation, and managing childcare with schools closed as well as the stress, isolation, and fear as a result of these things, they are in a good place with EPH programs and our support.
All 20 of our transitional homes are full. The Salva-tion Army, Golden House and EPH are actively case-managing families. We are helping them navigate things such as filing unemployment, budgeting, par-enting skills during this school-at-home time, health
and planning for move-outs. Merry Meals continue to be made by amazing partnership church volunteers and delivered weekly by EPH. In our David homes (long-term supportive housing), we are in constant contact with increased case management with 12 families as they also navigate these uncertain times. We are completing rehabs on two homes with families scheduled to move in between April and May. Our Prevention families have new barriers they are experiencing each day due to the environment we are in. We are working with families to navigate through all of this, including working with landlords. We also placed a family who was living in a motel with a landlord last week! We have had individuals reach out specifically to support the good work we are continuing to do during this time. My prayers during these weeks have been not just for EPH families, but for all of you as well. My hope is you are all safe and well, however, I know some of you may be experiencing many of the same things during this time: job loss, managing childcare/home schooling, caring for some-one who is sick or maybe you are ill yourself. Please know that I care about you and pray for your well-being. In the midst of crisis, there is always hope. The above is only a portion of what we are experiencing and doing at EPH. Together, with all of you, we are making and will continue to make a difference, one family at a time. In gratitude and with a sincere heart, Julie Aderhold, Executive Director, 920-680-8667

"Being a Christian isn't just following the commandments, but means being in Christ, thinking like him, acting like him, loving like him: it means letting him take possession of our lives and change them, transform them, free them from the darkness of evil and sin."
“…as important as it is to feel love, in the end, love is not in feelings. It’s in the will: in what I do, how I act, and what I choose.”
