Sony Computer Entertainment Inc corporate executive Tetsuhiko Yasuda ofciated at the launch held at 1Utama shopping centre. Also present was PS3 ofcial distributor Uptron Group owner Pradeep Kumar Tewani. Both models are slimmer and lighter than their predecessors while maintaining their performance to ensure the best gaming experience. The new PS3 Slim features an ex- tremely streamlined form that comes with a 120GB hard disk drive for more user stored content. PSPGo, on the other hand, is de- signed for users who enjoy a mobile lifestyle – allowing access to the Play- Station Network through its built-in LAN feature, as well as content stored in its 16GB ash memory. “Steady expansion of broadband network in Malaysia offers users more opportunity to enjoy online entertainment,” said Yasuda, who is also Sony Computer Entertainment Asia managing director. “Currently, ther e are over 600 game titles in the market and gamers can look forward to exciting new releases from SCE Worldwide Studios such as Gran Turismo 5, God of War 3, EyePet , and many more,” said Sony Malaysia general manager product marketing division Taku Taguchi. “It took two years before we launched the PS3 to Malaysian mar- kets in September last year. “Since then, response from fans has been overwhelming and it prompted us to launch the PS3 Slim and PSPGo here today, just a few months after CHENNAI: Proton Holdings Bhd chairman Datuk Mohd Nadzmi Mohd Salleh was admitted to the Apollo Hospital here yesterday after complaining of chest pains. Nadzmi, 55, had complained of the discomfort when checking in at the Taj Coromandel Hotel here, and was rushed to the hospital. My Events International chief executive ofcer Shahul Hameed Dawood, who had taken Nadzmi to the hospital, said he was informed by doctors that Nadzmi had suffered a mild stroke. He said Nadzmi might have to remain at the hospital for two or three days for treatment. Nadzmi was transferred to a normal ward at about 3pm (5.30pm in Malaysia) and his condition is reported to be stable. Nadzmi had flown in here from Kuala Lumpur to join the trade and investment delegation led by International Trade and Industry Minister Datuk Mustapa Mohamed. Mustapa visited Nadzmi at about 2.30pm (about 5pm in Malaysia) at the intensive care unit of the hospital. Nadzmi is also executive chairman of Nadicorp Holdings Sdn Bhd and president of the Badminton Association of Malaysia. – Bernama Turkey invites foreign rms to take part in airport projects ISTANBUL: Turkey is inviting local and foreign firms to take part in its airport enhancement projects to meet the bustling growth in the country’s aviation sector, its prime minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan, said. To this end, he said the government was considering building a third airport in Istanbul for which there would be opportunities for foreign investors. He said that the aviation sector has developed tremen- dously in the country with many airports recording rapid growth in terms of passenger trafc and airlines patronising these airports. He said the development of the airports was not for luxury but to cater to the needs of the people with the projects to be based on the build-operate-transfer model. “Turkey has liberalised foreign investment rules in the aviation sector,” he said at the launch of the Istanbul Sabiha Gokcen International Airport (ISGIA), the newest airport of the bicontinental city here on Saturday. The new terminal at ISGIA, was developed by a con- sortium in which Malaysia Airports Holdings Bhd (MAHB) took part in. The consortium, which also comprised GMR Infrastruc- ture Limited of India and Limak Group, a Turkish company, developed, managed and now operates the ISGIA. The facility, located on the Asian side of the bicontinental city, is named after Sabiha Gokcen, the rst female combat pilot in the world. ISGIA has been the airport which chalked up the biggest growth rate between 2002 and 2007. Passenger trafc is expected to hit 25 million by 2023. MAHB has a 20% equity in the consortium involved in building the new terminal, which is estimated to cost €343 million and will cater for 10 million passengers per year. The Prime Minister said the Turkish government was looking into the possibility of setting up a third airport in Istanbul because of the constraints at the Ataturk Interna- tional Airport on the European side. He said the government was also planning to construct a second runway for the ISGIA and four airports had been identied in the enhancement projects. Also present at the inauguration were Malaysian Deputy Transport Minister Datuk Abdul Rahim Bakri and MAHB chairman Tan Sri Dr Aris Othman. Earlier, during a press conference, Limak chairman Nihat Ozdemir said the company would consider bidding for any opportunity that may arise and plans to bring its partners including MAHB in the consortium to join the project based on their good relations. – Bernama Share prices expected to be higher this week SHAREprices on Bursa Malaysia are expected to be higher this week with investors taking advantage of recovery signs in the global market, particularly with the US economy having posted improved economic data on Thursday, dealers said. Despite the unveiling of Budget 2010 on Oct 23, most of the shares this week were in a correction mode after two weeks of con- tinuous rally, coupled with the weak external environment, they said. However, with the United States posting better-than-expected third quarter economic results that exceeded market expectations, Wall Street and other bourses around the world, including Malaysia, reacted positively. “We expect there will be a lot of window- dressing activities coming to year-end, which will boost some of the stocks. In addition, investors’ sentiment is currently positive as the world’s largest economy is starting to turn around in this quarter,” said an analyst from a local brokerage. On the local front, the government an- nounced a review of the National Automotive Policy on Wednesday, which is expected to stir interest in automotive-related stocks next week. KUALA LUMPUR: Sony Malaysialaunched its much-awaited PlaySta-tionPortable Go (PSPGo) and PlaySta-tion 3 Slim (PS3 Slim) on Saturday tothe cheers of hundreds of PlayStationfans.

Sony Computer Entertainment Inccorporate executive Tetsuhiko Yasudaofficiated at the launch held at 1Utamashopping centre. Also present wasPS3 official distributor Uptron Groupowner Pradeep Kumar Tewani.

Both models are slimmer andlighter than their predecessors while

maintaining their performance toensure the best gaming experience.
