    THISyears Penang Food Hunt will beexpanded by the use of Google, which will

    bring hunters to locations off the beatentrack, say the organisers.

    A part of the hunt will be themedGoing by Google. It will have the hunterssearching for the food places with the useof printed Google maps as a navigationtool, said Lim Siang Jin of Rasa Rasa,co-organiser of the hunt.

    The hunt will flag off at noon tomorrowfrom the Paradise Sandy Beach Hotel inTanjung Bungah, and will end at 9am onSunday at the same resort.

    There is nothing like solving a goodold-fashioned puzzle. Nevertheless, thisyear we will be putting a few spins to thecommon motor hunt, said Lim.

    Dominic Roche of Time Out Solutions, theother principal organiser of the hunt, said theparticipants will go to places that have notbeen published in Rasa Rasa Penang.

    This way the participants can expectto discover more options for Penangsfavourite local delights than many may

    know, said Roche.Shell and DiGi are the events mainsponsors. Other sponsors include BBQChicken and New World Park, Penang.In addition, the event has TMS Asia andJobstreet.com as web partners and PenangHeritage Trust as a resource partner.

    Apart from the fun and excitement,participants will be competing for greatprizes, including cash for the top threeteams. Overall, there are RM20,000 worthof prizes for the first 20 teams. There willalso be attractive goodie bags for everyparticipant.

    AT the age of five, Kam Su-Sze raised RM33,000for Unicef to help survivors of the Asian tsunamiusing only colour pencils and paint.

    Now eight, her passion to help childrenin need is still strong, and over the past threemonths, she has produced 12 sets of gift wrap-pers and gift cards from her personal drawingsand poems for sale, this time teaming up withWorld Vision Malaysia.

    Like many children her age, the MontKiaraInternational School pupil spends her weekendsdrawing pictures about things she loves most her family, her pet bunny and animals. She alsolikes to read.

    Su-Sze received much support and somehelped from her mother Cheong Kim Tho in herproject while a graphic designer transferred theoriginal drawings onto gift wrappers.

    At a press conference at World Visionsheadquarters recently, Cheong, who has been

    sponsoring a child under World Vision for thepast 10 years, said all proceeds from the saleswould be channelled to World Visions Food forLife project in North Korea.

    She hopes to raise RM60,000 from the cam-paign. With the funds, two operational noodlefactories by World Vision will be able to feed chil-dren in the Dochi-ri province of North Hwanghaewhich faces a severe shortage of food.

    There are about 44,000 children in theprovince who need to be fed daily as typhoonscontinue to destroy crops on an annual basis.

    By providing a steady source of food, WorldVision hopes to improve the health of childrenand prevent health problems associated withmalnutrition.

    Deputy Federal TerritoriesMinister Datuk M. Saravanan,when contacted, estimated theclearing work would take aboutfour hours.

    Initial estimate of losses wasput at RM300,000, he added.
