How do I write one of these things?
• An effective thesis statement tells the reader specifically what you plan to write about. In a longer essay, your thesis statement generally comes at the end of the opening paragraph. It serves as a guide to keep you on track as you develop your writing.
Always refer back to your thesis if you are stuck or if you are questioning the track you are on in the paper.
