Thermal cameras provide this freedom. By processing the heat radiation thatcomes from every object, even reflections of the clouds on the surface of thewater, into crisp clear images you have total visibility to keep going when thesun goes down or when visibility is poor.

When Iris began developing and testing their range of thermal cameras sev-eral years ago we were amazed by the possibilities thermal cameras offered,and the implications for safety at sea. We made the decision then that thermaltechnology should not be lavailable at a price that made it a realistic proposi-tion for the mass marine market and not just for the wealthy.

Following a year of intense development, Iris launched NightRunner in Octo-ber 2013 and it’s since taken the boating market by storm by offering a highquality thermal camera and high resolution low light colour camera in the samecontrollable housing at under five thousand dollars - up to ten thousand dollarscheaper than some of the comparable devices on the market. This bold moveshowed our intent for things to come, and this fall we continue our mantra ofdelivering quality thermal technology at an affordable price with our new rangeof NightSpotter hand held thermal scopes.

As well as NightSpotter and NightRunner, our original 216 and 316 thermalpan, tilt, zoom (PTZ) cameras continue to offer high end night vision, packedwith features such as multiple colour palettes, scene modes and new for 2014,the introduction of on screen target tracking. We’ve also integrated the built inbracket base developed for NightRunner so that a separate fixing plate is nolonger required.

Introducing NightRunner, the Worlds most Affordable Dual Payload, Thermal/ Daylight Pan Tilt Zoom camera from Iris Innovations!

Nightrunner represents a revolution in marine thermal imaging, designedspecifically for cruising, sports fishing and sailing applications but suitable forvessels of any size due to it’s compact form factor, light weight and low cost.

Featuring a highly sensitive Vanadium Oxide Thermal Core with 17µm Pitchand a thermal sensitivity of less than 50mK, NightRunner features a high qual-ity US made QVGA (320x240) thermal engine and a 700TVL Sony Effio-P lowlight colour camera module.

The cameras are built into a new, compact 116 series housing with dual pay-load dome and NEW integrated fixing base for easy installation and reinforcedmounting. The fully controllable housing allows for 360˚ continuous rotation,180 tilt, standby position and is fully tested for shock, vibration, sand and dustingress.

If this weren't enough, we've also developed an all new Easy Cable solutionwhich takes all the pain and expense out of installation. Where other camerasrequire seperate power, video and data cables, costing significant amounts ofmoney and casuing nightmares for installers, NightRunner simply requires asingle, inexpensive CAT5 cable. Simply plug and go! At the other end of thecable, a simple breakout adapter is supplied to introduce the cameras powerand data feeds, and to deliver the video signal to your monitor or chartplotter.A 2 meter video patch cable is supplied along with a 60 foot, waterproof CAT5cable. Specially designed extension cables packs are also available for ex-tending cables runs in a 'plug and play' configuration for added simplicity.
