Starting out Starting out Was born on May 9, 1746 in West Hartford,

Connecticut and died on January 24, 1813. Married April 17,1774 He attended Yale college for law but didn’t

graduate. After he was admitted to the bar he began practicing law in Massachusetts.

When the revolutionary war hit acted as a secretary on a Canadian expedition.

He was a federalist.
