Kettle versus the light bulb!

Which uses the most power when both switched on?

Which uses the most power in a typical working day?Assuming that the kettle is used by our very busy maintenance department (3 times a day!) and that the light bulbis on 24 hours in an emergency escape route in the basement.

3x 15w replaced with 3x 3w (45 ↓ 9) 15w replaced with 3w (1Khrs ↑ 15K)

35w Halogen replaced with 3w single LED

2 x 750kw boilers on 24hrs a day plus associated pumps and fans! Simple 10 minute adjustments to BEMS reduced running time to 8hrs a day on demand only. Further enhancements came later.

used 2 very efficient Zenex Technology boilers, total cost £20k, Payback1.5 years!
