5500A: Wide workload coverage at a value priceThe versatile Fluke 5500A Multi-Product Calibrator offers an unprece-dented range of dc and low-frequency

electrical calibration workload cover-age. It includes all the traditionalmeter calibration functions—voltage,current, resistance, and capacitance.Both resistance and capacitance arecontinuously variable with resolutiondown to 1 mΩ or 0.1 pF. And bothfunctions are easy and practical touse with a wide variety of measure-ment tools.

Because power is simulated usingdual dc or ac outputs, you can sourcetwo voltages, or voltage plus currentat the same time with precise phasecontrol to calibrate watt meters orpower harmonics analyzers. The5500A also simulates a wide rangeof thermocouples and RTDs for temperature calibration.

The new 5520A: Expanding your high performance workloadIf you need increased performance, theFluke 5520A Multi-Product Calibratorexpands your workload coverageeven further with improved accuracyin nearly all areas and with severaladditional features and functions,including:• Lower output uncertainties to

meet the requirements of 51⁄2and 61⁄2 digit multimeters.

• Phase lock to simplify simulation of three-phase power. You may also sum the current from multiple 5520As to perform high current tests, such as direct calibration of current clamps or verification of current transformers.

• Current output expanded to 20A. Verify current clamps to 1000A using the 5500A/COIL 50-Turn Coil accessory.

• Pressure measurement using any of the 27 Fluke 700 Series PressureModules, which cover ranges from0-10”(0-2.5 kPa) H2O to 0-10,000PSI (0-70,000 kPa) to calibratepressure gauges, transducers andother indicators.

MULT [X] and DIV [÷] keys simplify stepping up and down in decade multiples of any output setting, and let you step up or down to the next range in a 1-2-5 sequence for oscilloscope calibration.

Soft keys allow access to the menus in the Control Windows, letting you select parameters such as offset, waveforms, phase, thermocouple or RTD type. PREV MENU lets you step backward through these menus.

Edit knob allows you to vary theoutput. When editing, the differencebetween the original output and the edited output is automaticallycomputed and displayed in theControl Window.

Phase lock makes it easy to simulate three-phase power and enables current summingfor high-current tests.
