As the days become dark and the temperature drops, getting the mood right at home is key.

During winter we naturally spend more time relaxing indoors while our home transitions into

a holiday hub for guests. Quality trumps quantity in our search for warmth and comfort – the

feeling of being tucked up in bed with a sumptuous cashmere blanket, or wrapping up in a soft

fluffy towel after a long bath.

Instead of products that are here today and gone tomorrow, we have created an enduring range

centred on texture, tactility and usability – responding to a universal longing for products made

with natural materials, by people who love what they do.

This season, forest textures intertwine beautifully with the delicate prints, Japanese florals and

fine detailing from the land of the rising sun. Chunky, oversized knits contrast with intricate

graphic prints, taking form in wood, shell, clay and copper. Our gaze towards the East informs

our palette of dark greens, earthy tones of brown and grey and warm terracotta, and these richer

tones are juxtaposed with water blue, pure white and black – evoking a much-needed sense of

calm during the hectic holiday months.

Whether your festivities are elaborate, intimate (or both), we would love to hear about

Ever wondered what makes your flannel bed linen so flawlessly soft? We work closely with a

lovely family-run Portuguese manufacturer, who calls upon three generations of knowledge to

make your favourite flannel collections. Working alongside a backdrop of rolling plains, the

gorgeous natural surroundings of our supplier’s base reflects their approach to manufacturing.

Each sheet, pillow and duvet cover is produced according to environmentally and socially responsible

methods, with at least 70% certified organic cotton making up the raw material used – guaranteeing a fibre

that is safe on skin.

Renowned for its softness, flannel is distinguished from other cotton weaves by its nap: the raised

surface that occurs when the flannel is brushed. The team who make our flannel know by hand

when the fabric has reached optimum softness. In fact, they personally touch and feel each piece

before giving their seal of approval.

What is a tog rating?A ‘tog’ is an industry standard term used to measure the warmth of a duvet.

Togs are measured in units of thermal resistance – making a duvet with a low tog rating preferable for summer and those with a high tog rating ideal for winter.

What is a warmth rating?

The warmth rating is our simple in-house measurement system used to denote the level of insulation provided by the duvet, ranging from one (low warmth) to five (high warmth).

Our duvets and pillows are manufactured in accordance with the following certification standards:

carpet making, our socially committed supplier collaborates with artisans to ethically

create our gorgeous hand-crafted rugs, runners and doormats.

Each hand-knotted, hand-tufted and hand-woven piece is produced in a socially

responsible way, according to established Care and Fair certification standards.

Combatting illegal child labour practices, Care and Fair works closely with local

communities to ensure adult carpet weavers and their families across India, Nepal and

Pakistan are paid a living wage.

The initiative has also funded and founded a number of schools, medical clinics and

empowerment programmes in communities where our carpet collections are made,

breaking the cycle of child labour with the provision of education and healthcare. 23
