‘Asto Ma Sadgamaya, Tamso Ma Jyotirgamaya, Mrityo Ma Amritamgamaya’These words that epitomise man's growth from ignorance to knowledge will always be our divine guiding light in this journey of education. Our progress has been in an innovative holistic curriculum and creating

universal citizens in leadership roles who serve society with our motto "Atma Deepo Bhav".

2017 has been a witness to great achievements. Out of 135 class ten students of18th batch 47 secured 10 CGPA . Our Class XII batch (mostly consisting of those who joined us in Class XI) the highest

percentage achieved was 94% in the science stream. In the competitive entrance examinations, more than dozen students qualified meritoriously the JEE Mains. It is quite worthy to note that from our +2,

Ashutosh Kumar Tiwary joined IIT Delhi and Manas Kumar Pandey joined NIT Agartala. We are grateful to the diligence of our students and Teachers who have made us proud, the dedication of selfless

teachers and parents who have been indomitable in their support and the guidance of the members of the management committee.

Holi - A Day observed with gaiety | 13th March .2017Holi,the festival of colours was celebrated with great joy and enthusiasm. It began with 'Holika Dahan' by Honourable Jt. Director in the traditional way .This was followed by a short program where students singers performed in groups under the supervision of Mrs. Supriya Mishra (music teacher). The next day students enjoyed Holi by spraying coloured water and smearing of 'abir' . INTACH INDIA HERITAGE QUIZ SILIGURI I 27th July ,2017The quiz team of VVRS, under the tutelage of Mr. Nikhil Ranjan and Mr Sudip Chakraborty , lifted the Runners Cup in the Quiz competition organized by Intach India Heritage Quiz at Inspiria, Siliguri.The pain of marginally missing the mark was compensated by Siddharth and Ayush who bagged the ‘Audience Award’. WORKSHOP ON CLASSROOM MANAGEMENT I 30th July, 2017 to 31st July 2017A two-day capacity building programme on classroom management was organized by CBSE Centre for Excellence for teachers (Raebareli, UP). The workshop focussed upon exposure of classroom management and its importance. The component of effective classroom management were discussed and analyzed at length. BIHAR PRITHIVI DIVAS I 9th August , 2017In a bid to keep the environment pollution free , the students of Vidya Vihar took pledge to abide by the do’s and don’ts as laid down by Bihar government. The watch-words of the oath were ‘Re-use, Reduce, & Recycle’.

INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATION I 15th August ,2017Vidya Vihar celebrated 70th Independence Day with great verve and patriotic fervour. Hon’ble Joint Director hoisted the flag. In the morning ‘Prabhat Pheri’ was taken out by the scouts of class six and seven under the guidance of scout teachers – Mr Nikhil Ranjan and Mr Sanjay Jha. The day was marked with various games activities.

INAUGURATION OF ATL - A MILESTONE EVENT I 24TH, September, 2017Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor BNMU, Dr A.K.Rai, inaugurated Atal Tinkering laboratory of VVRS. It was a proud moment for the august audience and dignitaries to be witnesses of a landmark event when latest technology of Robotics, IoT etc. reached students of a school in the hinterland of Bihar.

BEST EVER ACHIEVEMENT IN ASSET I 26th November, 2017The students of Vidya Vihar created history by surpassing all the previous records of ASSET. Twenty two students qualified for the second level and they took their examination in the City Of Joy (Kolkata). The final result is awaited.

GHAR GHAR MAIN STAR I 28th November, 2017Vidya Vihar gave eight finalist for ‘Ghar Ghar Main Star’ which qualifies and perpetuates the maxim that we work in tandem with academics and performing arts. The audition was taken by Mr. Sumit Kumar and Mr Nishant Shekhar partner and co-partner of Bodhi Films respectively. The eight finalists are Bhagya Laxmi(3859), Aryan Raj(3662), Smriti Yadav(3689), Abhijeet Pathak (2546), Kriti kumar(3149) Harsh Raj(3086), Kumar Anshuman(3762) and Mridu Kant Das Guru (3435).,Hindustan Rangotsav I 10thDecember, 2017Creativity got wings with each brushstroke of the participants who took part in mega drawing competition ‘Hindustan Rangotsav’. It was a proud moment for Vidya Vihar to be the venue for such an event.The students of more than 15 schools participated in it. Annual Athletic Meet | 24th December, 2017 - 28th December,2017A four-day annual athletic meet was organized by the Games and Sports Department of Vidya Vihar. In the opening ceremony, the Chief Guest Honourable Jt. Director , Mr. R.K.Paul declared the 'MEET' open and lit the torch. These four days were filled with excitement, thrill and cheers. Spectators witnessed different types of track and field events as well as emerging new athletes who proved that the shine of their medals was the outcome of their sweat , determination and hard work. On the closing day, 28th December, 2017, Dr. Chandra Prakash Jha (RDDE, Purnia), graced the occasion as Chief Guest. The Guest Of Honour was Mr. Mithilesh Prasad (DEO, Purnia). After giving away the trophies, honourable chief guest addressed the students and emphasized upon the importance of games and sports in one's life. He declared the 'MEET' closed amidst great mirth and verve against the backdrop of shining trophies in the hands of the winners.

Annual Day Celebration | 29th December ,2017Annual day celebration gave a glimpse of our rich culture and performing arts. It was presided by the Chief Guest DIG, Purnia, Mr. Saurav Kumar, Honourable Principal, Mr. N.K. Das Guru presented the ‘Annual School Report’ which gave a glimpse of various success and achievements of VVRS. Honourable Chief Guest addressed the student and in his highly invigorating speech he emphasized upon 'SWOT ANALYSIS' and wished bright future for the students of VVRS. The cultural programme began with the opening ceremony which was dedicated to Almighty who governs the universe. This impeccable performance was showcased by the girls of class twelve. The programme ended with ‘Bhangra’ which was presented by the students of class ten. The cultural programme was indeed a spectacular display of talent and fervour. Vote of thanks was presented by the Cultural Coordinator Mr. C.K.Jha.

My experience in this new type of play ground was awesome. For me it's a palace of electronics. I feel

myself fortunate to be a part of it. I'm thankful to my teachers who helped me to be a part of new era in
