DANISH EXCHANGE PROGRAMME
Trivandrum International School played host to 20
students and 3 teachers from Eisbjerghus
Internationale Efterskole, Denmark. The team
arrived on 18th January and returned on 27th of
January.They were welcomed with a special
assembly and the Danish students stayed at their
partners’ homes during the weekend.

HOOPATHON
To Commemorate 125 years of
basketball, The Kerala Basketball
Association is conducting the Mega
Kerala Hoopathon in all the districts
of Kerala. TRINS has joined this
endeavour and many of our students
participated in the Hoopathon at
school on Friday, January 20th.

ROUND SQUARE VIRTUAL CONFERENCE
As a part of Round Square activities , 6 students participated in the RS Virtual conference
hosted by Chittagong Grammar School , Bangladesh . The topic for the conference was “LESS
ME MORE WE”. 22 RS Schools participated in this virtual conference which extended for two
days.
GLOBAL ROUND SQUARE CONFERENCE
5 students from grades 6 & 7 attended the
Global Round Square Conference held at Mayo
College,Ajmer.The theme of the conference was
“Making every drop count”, focusing on
innovative solutions for efficient use of water.

TRINS ALUMNI MEET 2016
It was an evening of excitement and nostalgia when our alumni from various years came back to the campus
on the 23rd of December. The meeting was presided by our Executive Director, Ms Sapnu and our Honorary
Director,Mr G Vijayaraghavan.
Karthik Nair of grade 8 represented Kerala state in the 4th Inter-State
South zone Cricket tournament organized by the Goa Cricket Association.
LUMINARY SPEAKERS Students of Grades 9 to12 had an enriching talk with Mr Venugopalan Nair, a qualified legal professional with more than twenty years of experience on legal matters pertaining to cyber law. Students from grades 5 - 8 had an interaction with a young scientist, Masha Nazeem, on Friday, Jan 6th. Two of her innovations were successfully tested by the Government - the Hitech Train Toilet by the Indian Railways and the Flameless seal maker in 2 polling stations by the Election Commission of India. As a part of promoting science, she has started an innovation centre in Nagarcoil for inculcating inventiveness and creativity among school students.

EARLY YEARS SPORTS & SWIMMING MEET
The Early Years Sports & Swimming Meet was held on January 13th under the umbrella theme
of “Green World,Clean World”.

FLOW LEADERSHIP CAMP
A three days long leadership camp was conducted in the campus for PYP students before we
closed for the Christmas break.

The KG1 class room was converted to a mock
aircraft on Thursday. Students were dressed as
crew and passengers for a real travel experience.
They also visited the traffic park at
Shanghumugham on Friday to learn the
importance of following traffic regulations.
Grade 1 celebrated Pongal on Monday,
16th January, in connection to the unit
about cultures and traditions around the
world. Students saw pongala being made
and drew floor designs. Thanks to Ms
Janaki,Ms Kumari ,Ms Rajitha and Mr
Vijayaraghavan.
The Early Years visited the Grama Jyothi, a school for the specially abled on 15th December to spread the Christmas spirit of sharing and giving. We thank all the teachers of the Early Years of main school and City KG for planning this event.
WEEKEND FUN @ HOSTEL – A day out at Raviz ,Kollam along with formal lunch
and boat cruise.
