Development Corporation Area). The Direction applies to the development described in the following classes of tho GPDO:- The development referred to in Schedule 2 Part 3 Classes O, P and PA lo the said Order not being development comprised within any other class that: r. to say:- Class O - Development consisting of a change of use of a building and any land within its curtilage from a use falling within Class B1(a) (off ces) of the Schedule to the Town and Country Planning (Use Classes) Order 1987 (as amondnd 2015) to a use falling within Class C3 (dwellinghouses) of that Schedule. Class P - Development consisting of a change of uco of a building and any land within its curtilage from a use falling within Class B8 (utoragu or diijtnbjtlon centre) of the Schedule to the Town and Country Planning (Usu Classes) Order 1967 (as amended 2015) to a use falling within Class C3 (dwellinghouses) of that Schedule. Class PA- Development consisting of a change of use of a building and any land within its curtilage from a use falling within Class B1 (c) (light industhal) of ihe Schedule to the Town and Country Planning (Use Classes) Order 1987 (as amended 2015) to a use falling within Class C3 (dwellinghouses) of that Schedule. The effect of the Direction is that the permission granted by Article 3 of the GPDO shall not apply to such development and such development shall not be carried out within that area unless planning permission is granted by the Council. This does not affect devolopment permitted by Schedule 2 Part 3 Class O, Class P or Class PA which is expressed *o be subject to prior approval where, in relation to that development, the prior approval date occurs before the date on which the direction

NOTICE IS GIVEN that the London Borough of Brent has made a Direction under Article 4(1) of The Town and Country Planning (General Permitted Development) (England) Order 2015 ('GPDO').The Direction was made on 4** August 2017 and applies to the Alperton Growth Area, Strategic Industrial Locations and Locally Significant Industrial Sites within the London Borough of Brent as defined in the Brent Local Plan 2016 (excluding the area designated as the Old Oak and Park Roya! Development Corporation Area).

The Direction applies to the development described in the following classes of tho GPDO:-

The development referred to in Schedule 2 Part 3 Classes O, P and PA lo the said Order not being development comprised within any other class that: r. to say:-

Class O - Development consisting of a change of use of a building and any land within its curtilage from a use falling within Class B1(a) (off ces) of the Schedule to the Town and Country Planning (Use Classes) Order 1987 (as amondnd 2015) to a use falling within Class C3 (dwellinghouses) of that Schedule.

Class P - Development consisting of a change of uco of a building and any land within its curtilage from a use falling within Class B8 (utoragu or diijtnbjtlon centre) of the Schedule to the Town and Country Planning (Usu Classes) Order 1967 (as amended 2015) to a use falling within Class C3 (dwellinghouses) of that Schedule.

Class P A - Development consisting of a change of use of a building and any land within its curtilage from a use falling within Class B1 (c) (light industhal) of ihe Schedule to the Town and Country Planning (Use Classes) Order 1987 (as amended 2015) to a use falling within Class C3 (dwellinghouses) of that Schedule.

The effect of the Direction is that the permission granted by Article 3 of the GPDO shall not apply to such development and such development shall not be carried out within that area unless planning permission is granted by the Council. This does not affect devolopment permitted by Schedule 2 Part 3 Class O, Class P or Class PA which is expressed *o be subject to prior approval where, in relation to that development, the prior approval date occurs before the date on which the direction

comes into effect and the development is completed within a period of 3 years starting with the prior approval date.

A copy of the Direction and of a map defining the area to which it relates may be seen at the Wembley Library, Brent Civic Centre Civic Centre, Engineers' Way London, HA9 OFJ during opening hours or can be viewed on the Council's website.

Representationtj may be made concemiing the aforemeintlionedi Article 4 directioo between 10th August 2017 and 7*'' September 2017. The Direction shall come into force, subject to consideration of any representations received and confirmation by the Council, on 11** Auguot 2018.

WHERE;QS f^e Lorrcfon Borough o^ S-er^t be'ng the appropriate planning authority within the moaning of Article 4(5) of the Town and Country Planning (General Permitted Development) Order (England) 2015, are satisfied that it is expedient that development of the descriptions set out in the First Schedule below should not be carried out on the land described in the Second Schedule and shown edged with a black line (for identification purposes only) on the Plan annexed hereto unless permission is granted on an application made under Part III of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990 (as amended).

NOW THEREFORE the said Council in pursuance of the power confirmed on them by Article 4(1) of the Town and Country Planning (General Permitted Development) (England) Order 2015 hereby direct that the permission granted by Article 3 of the said Order shall not apply to development on the said land of the descriptions set out in the First Schedule hereto.

FIRST SCHEDULE

Class PA - Dovulopment consisting of a change of use of a building and any land within its curtilage from a use falling within Class B1 (c) (light industrial) of the Schedule to the Town and Country Planning (Use Classes) Order 1987 (as amended 2015) to a use falling within Class C3 (dwellinghouses) of that Schedule.

This does not affect development permitted by Schedule 2 Part 3 Class O, Class P or Class PA which is expressed to be subject to prior approval where, in relation to that development, the prior approval date occurs before the date on which the

direction comes into effect and the development Is completed within a pefiod of 3 years starting with the prior approval date.

SECOND SCHEDULE

Land comprising Strategic Industrial Locations Locally Significant Industrial Sites and Alperton Growth Are;- as de'ined ,n the B'-unl Local Plan us adoo+od Novomber 2016 (excluding the area duGignatud as the Old Oak and Park Royal Dovelopment Corporation Area).

THE DIRECTION is mado under A ' iou 4(1) of the vsaid Order and shall come into effect on the 11""' August 20'i 8 if confirmed.
