• The boatWe find a forty boats

on the Bayeux Tapestry, including 18 in the famous scene of the Channel crossing in the conquest of England by William the Conqueror. The most beautiful, "Mora", offered by Mathilde to her husband, carries a lantern surmounted a cross atop its mast.

Activity : By helping you grid, this boat is reprodu below by drawing first a similar grid in pencil. One can of course expand this grid on a large sheet.

4. An adventure • To the imagination! This

sheet aims to suggest an individual adventure, that of a knight who leaves his castle, crossed the Channel and fighting in the Battle of Hastings. It is a question of resuming elements of the Bayeux Tapestry, to create "how to ..." customize. 3 scenes below evoke an adventure. They can be enlarged, modified and / or encourage the writing of a story ...
