I encourage you to priorize these gatherings. Elsewhere you’ll see the schedule for meals and gatherings. You will be blessed and so will any you are able to get here with you. Let’s be prayerful and present! I’m praying for God to do business with all of us, to answer some long-term prayers and to do some surprising things we never saw coming. This could be a great spiritual adventure for us all. We rarely have a series of services like Proclaim, so I want to let you know in advance that we will be receiving a love offering for our leadership during the days of meeng. We invite you to parcipate in blessing those who bless us. Thanks in advance. We also rarely set a high aendance goal in Connect Groups. But we’re seng one for this Sunday: 1099! Will you be part of that? Will you invite others to join you? Let’s see what God might do as we are faithful to him. I am so thankful and excited for Rock Steady Boxing. This is a new offering in FBC-Fitness that is literally, in the scope of the first two weeks, changing lives for the beer. RSB is designed for people with a Parkinson’s diagnosis. And it leads to improvements in overall health and a di- minishing of symptoms. The number of volunteers is impressive even for a church like ours with a rich volunteer culture. You’ve seen those road signs, “Men at Work.” We could put a sign at the door for RSB: “God at work.” Please pray for the parcipants and the volunteers and for gospel opportunies. Thank you, Amy Johnson and Wallace Yamauchi for bringing this to First Bapst. Your Pastor, John

Education & Outreach Ministry

Thanks to our Connect Groups for setting High Attendance Day Goals for your group. All of those added up to 1099! So, that is showing a lot of faith and hope! Let’s do all you can to encourage all your mem-bers and prospects, friends and neighbors to come! Here are some ideas: ➢ Please be praying now for our Proclaim revival services on Sep-

tember 23-26! ➢ Pray for people to be open to invitations and come. And pray

for everyone in your group to attend. ➢ Make plans for everyone to bring their favorite snack! ➢ Divide up your list of prospects in groups of 3 or 4 and make

assignments for care group leaders or other individuals to each personally invite them.

➢ Promote “Each One, Reach One!” Challenge each person to bring one new person.

➢ Call, Text, Mail a card, or Visit an absentee or prospect. ➢ Invite an unchurched friend to come Sunday morning and then

to eat out with you for lunch. ➢ Tell a friend about your great Connect Group and ask them to

join you. ➢ Be a good neighbor and invite them to come. ➢ Work up the courage and invite a co-worker to join you. ➢ Encourage that Lost person you’ve been praying for to come

with you. ➢ Email a challenge to everyone in your group to come and reach

your goal. And challenge them with all the above ideas.

We will do our regularly scheduled Safety Teams for Sunday Morning and Wednesday night. We still need some help on Monday – Tuesday nights. Can you do one or more nights? If so, contact Brad Phillips ASAP please.

We will provide van outreach service during Proclaim for those who have no transportation. You must be able to get on and off the van on your own. Call the office ASAP if you haven’t already signed up.

Sundays at 9:00am in room 3025.

Enjoy some Food, Fellowship and Bible Study geared to students. Eliz-abeth Standage, Bill Newton and Kyle and Jen Stevens will rotate teaching and leading. If you know a student, or anyone 18-22 or so, please invite them. They can come to any Welcome Center and be guided to the group.

Thanks to Katy Wreyford for developing a new communications cen-ter for Connect Groups beside the Welcome Center in the Foyer. Love, Danny
