Tuesday evening we had an amazing District Prayer Service in the

DISCOVERING GOD'S GIFTS

Well Church Family - it is almost &me to open the doors to Discovery

Weekend and welcome 80+ students to Discover God's GiBs. I cannot boast

enough on our leadership team and adult D-group leaders who have been planning

and preparing. Lora has done everything from purchasing to pain&ng. Some of our

students are making final prepara&ons on their selected speeches. Host homes are

prepared to provide rest and comfort. The Methodist Men, Methodist Women,

Covenant Class, and the Hutson's are making final menu plans. The Barriers will

soon begin transforma&on of some bare rooms into an amazing prayer chap-

el. And, our en&re church has blessed us with enough snacks and beverages to

sa&sfy this young army of believers. We are ready for Discovery 2018!

Now, please be in prayer for the leaders, students, and en&re event. Pray

that we will move out of the way and let God work in these young hearts. Less of

us and more of HIM! One of the primary topics for the weekend is to think of pray-

er as one of God's greatest giBs to HIS children. How amazing is it that through

Jesus Christ we have a Holy Spirit Hotline directly to God at all &mes! God hears

our prayers and HE cares!! Luke 11:9-10 will mark the path to Discovery - "So I say

to you: Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door

will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds;

and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened." Thank you for your support,

love, and prayers church family - our students are blessed and a blessing! Hardin

...by praying for the event, for the leaders, for the par&cipants;

...by bringing snacks and small sized drinks

(get them to the office and Joy will get them where they need to go);

The box for the le!ers is out on the desk in front of the office.

If you have ques&ons, or would like to help in a different way,

will be honored during Na&onal Volunteer Week with a picnic

A Mercy Minute

Although we have not had consistent weather - Spring brings a sense of renewal and a spiritual

freshness. Hope is witnessed in every tree restored to green and bloom soon to be a fragrant addi&on to

nature. Recovery brings the same renewed life through the restora&ve and redemp&ve grace of Jesus. This

week at Mercy Place we will have an "open mic night" to hear how God is restoring life, renewing purpose,

and growing a!endees in recovery one day at a &me. Come hear how Jesus is alive, loving, and Lord of all!

Blessings, Hardin

The Altar Guild will meet Wednesday,

April 25, at 5:45 p.m. at the front of

the sanctuary. If you are interested in

serving, please come.
