Since the early 1980s, NMC has invested in young men and women by providing opportunities to “taste” and “experience” vocational ministry. In May of 1996, NMC launched SOAR, its summer internship program. The goal was to provide an intense internship, partnered with an intentional discipleship. Since that time, there have been more than 140 young adults have been invested in and sent out to multiply the Kingdom of God, intent on doing ministry (vocational or volunteer) wherever they are in the world. Compensation NMC will cover costs that relate to housing, meals, curriculum and ministry expenses. In addition, each intern will receive bi-weekly paychecks throughout the summer. God spoke to me in clear and affirming ways as to His calling on my life and the gifting he’s given me. I discovered and worked on developing my leadership style. I learned how to be a better communicator and work with a team of people where I was able to best utilize their strengths.” - Cortney Stace (Taylor University) “It has absolutely changed my life in a positive way, more than i could have imagined; I’ll never be the same.” - Colin Urbanick (Indiana Wesleyan University) “God grew and challenged me more in my walk with Him in fearlessness and boldness than ever before.” - Nicola Losik (University of Minnesota)
