hands off the plow FALL 2012AUGUST 15-17
Greetings from The SoulCare Project, a ministry dedicated to providing leaders intentional space for rest and communion with Christ. Our desire is to give leaders a safe place to experience the quiet assurance of God’s love. Our desire is to expose the significance of Spiritual Formation and Soul Care by providing retreats where leaders will have an opportunity to set aside the busy and productive life in order to hear God’s voice through stillness.
For this reason, we are cordially inviting you to join us in taking your “hands off the plow” for a few days, to allow the soil of your fields to settle, to experience the rhythm of sabbath rest. We are privileged to have Steve Macchia and Rick Anderson of Leadership Transformations.
Steve Macchia founded Leadership Transformations in 2003. Since then he's served as President of LTi as well as Director of the Pierce Center for Disciple-Building at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary, where he also serves on the teaching team in the Doctor of Ministry department. Steve is a pastoral teacher, conference speaker, ministry leader, retreat facilitator, ministry mentor/coach, and spiritual director. He's also the author of several books including his most recent, Crafting A Rule of Life (InterVarsity Press). He resides in Lexington, MA with his wife Ruth and is the proud father of two children, Nathan and Rebekah.
Rick serves as LTi's Vice President in the Colorado Springs office location. Rick has a passion for spiritual formation and leadership development. He has
completed New Way Ministries' School of Spiritual Direction and the Advanced School, both taught by Dr. Larry Crabb. Rick is a graduate of Biola University's school of business. Prior to LTi, Rick served as the COO of the Christian Writers Guild and the Director of Finance & Operations at Trinity Law School. He also serves on the board of the Christian Leadership Alliance, Colorado Springs chapter as the chapter President. Rick and his wife, Lisa, live in Colorado Springs with their three boys: Cameron, Mitchell, and Jackson.
