Lt Ashcraft talked about Soldier Carlton, who makes the claim that “this is our corps”. Do you feel a sense of ownership in your own corps? Enjoy Lewis talks about mutual submission to spiritual authority. Are there important differences between spiritual authority and institutional authority? What might happen if we confuse the two? Lt Ashcraft tells us that in his corps “the more I let go, the better things have gone”. Why do think that is? How would you describe the relationship between “letting go” and empowerment? Are these just two ways of saying the same thing? Discernment: As a group, spend a few minutes in silent prayer, allowing the Holy Spirit to speak to you.
