How to get management approval –
even in the midst of budget cuts and layoffs!
• Have all the FACTS READY!
• Budget cuts will affect everyone, BUT it will not erode the readiness factor.
• Work/vigilance continues and therefore training continues and is even more
important now then ever with less $$ to protect!
• Be a TEAM PLAYER!
• Though this will cost more, don’t be selfish…make an argument for the entire
security team and you may gain allies to help gain approval!
• Get ready to CLOSE THE DEAL!
• Bring it home! Keep your approach short and professional and be sure to
demonstrate the benefits for the company.

ISP® Program Events
The Industrial Security Professional (ISP®) certification testing will be held in a
proctored setting on Monday, June 19 from 2:00pm - 4:00pm, so please plan your
travel accordingly if you wish to take the test.
Read all about the ISP® program on our ISP® website.
ISP® candidates will need to submit their application and collateral materials no later
than 30 days prior to the seminar.
ISP® workshop:
• How to Become an ISP® (for those interested in obtaining the certification)
Visit the ISP ® Booth at the Seminar!
Look for the “INDUSTRIAL SECURITY PROFESSIONAL” tag on
attendee badges and ask how you can earn your certification!
