The Senior Center building will be used for our fundraiser from
April 5-7. Therefore, we will not be having any normally scheduled
activities during those days.
However, there will be a Pool and Canasta Tournament during those times. Please
see page 4 for details, and for other ways you can contribute to make a most
important fundraiser of the year a success!
We’re walking to Graceland in Memphis! Well, kind of...
The Maury County Senior Center, the Maury County Health Department, and the South Central Regional Health Department are
sponsoring a “Walking to Memphis In May” event to promote health and fitness. This will span over six weeks to walk the distance to
Graceland and back.
There will be a kick-off at 10am on April 16th, and a celebration at 10am on May 25th for those that have participated. We have forms to track your progress, and to turn in to put towards our
goal. During the six week period we will also have speakers on Tuesdays at 10am.
Please see page 4 for more information.
(Above and below) County Mayor Charlie Norman came to speak to us about Maury County growth in March.
DATES: THURSDAY MAY 24, 2018 12:30 PM - 4:30 PM FRIDAY MAY 25, 2018 12:30 PM - 4:30 PM
The AARP Smart Driver™ 2-day course is recognized as an approved accident prevention course for drivers age 55 and
older by the Tennessee Department of Safety. The cost is $15 for AARP members, and $20 for non-members. Please call the Senior Center at 931-380-3950 to register. Seating is limited.
Due to a variety of extra events this month, we will
not be having a potluck lunch in April.
