The Safe Community Project of Taladkreab Sub-District Municipality
1.Street Safety
Objective : We aim to educate students and residents on self-protection
against road accidents, and reduce injuries caused by traffic
accidents.
6-18 Age Range : We provide knowledge and understanding of traffic law, safe
driving, how to put on a helmet, and also a simulated road
activity for the safe driving.
Over 19 Age Range : We intend to educate our residents to comply with the traffic
obligation, safe driving, helmet wearing. Also, we have created
bike lanes by drawing street lines in order to signify the traffic
lanes.

2.Household Safety
Objective : Our main purpose is to promote the safety in everyday life.
0-4 Age Range : We have visited young children’s houses to learn their family
problems.
5-12 Age Range : We have paid a visit to the children’s houses in order to learn
the problems in their families.
12-18 Age Range : We hold an activity to promote the knowledge about the danger
of drugs and adolescent pregnancy prevention.
Over 25 Age Range : We also have trainings to promote the knowledge about how to
take care of the elderly and the disabled.
Over 60 Age Range : Our community has organized some trainings to promote the
knowledge of injury. Also, we have improved the toilet
condition for the elderly.

3. The Children’s Safety
Objective: To promote the safety in everyday life
3-12 Age Range: We have launched a campaign for wearing a crash helmet at school,
and wearing life jackets among students and parents to prevent them
from drowning. Moreover, we held a training course to explain the basic
traffic laws. Then our team has improved the playground condition for
young children and made sure that the instructional materials are
perfectly safe for students. In addition, we simulated safe driving
conditions on the street.
13-18 Age Range : We organized a training to promote the danger of drug-taking,
the adolescent pregnancy prevention , and safe driving.

4.The Elderly’s Safety
Objective : We intend to create the safe living environment for the elderly.
Over 61 Age Range : We have conducted a campaign to promote the risk of injury
caused by a slip and improved the toilet conditions for the
elderly.

5.The Prevention of Physical Abuse and Sexual Abuse
Objective : We aim to promote safety in the living environment.
Our purpose is to prevent and solve violence against children,
women and family members.

Sub-District Municipality, Health Volunteer, The Elderly Care Volunteer,
Ayutthaya Provincial Health Office and Ayutthaya Police Station
6. The Preparation for Natural Disaster and Public Danger
Natural Disaster and Public Danger
Objective: Our purpose is to prepare for the possible natural disaster and public
danger. We have been sending our officers to several trainings, for
instance, a fire drill at the Child Development Center. Also, we held
trainings to point out the prevention of public danger and first aid. We
organized a course to train the development and self-protection
volunteers, as well as a seminar to educate the one sub-district per one
rescue team volunteers.

and the Internal Security Operations Command
7. Safety during the Important Public Holidays
Objective: Our goal is to prevent road accidents, reduce injury, and lessen losses of life
and possessions.
• We organize a checkpoint during New Year’s vacation and Song Kran festival on the 347 highway (Pathum Thani Province – Bang Pahan District) in order to provide a public service for the travelers and help people.

8.The Hygiene and Health Safety
Objective : We intend to promote good health among people and reduce injury
caused by the playground equipment.
Membership Network : Taladkreab Sub-District Municipality
9.The Food Hygiene and Product Hygiene
Objective : We focus on pointing out knowledge about food hygiene, eating
organic food in order to reduce an accumulation of toxic in body,
and the prevention of infective diseases.
There is a test for contaminants in food. We set up a course to educate
the public on safe diet, growing hydroponics vegetable and then bring
them to cook for children at the Child Development Center.

10.The Environmental safety and the Pollution Reduction
Objective : To reduce the amount of rubbish in the community and the cost
of living , We also launched campaign to reuse the rubbish ,
Action rubbish classification , rubbish purchase We set up the
community’s rubbish bank and administrate by the 3R
(Reduce , Reuse ,Recycle) To repace foam packaging with food
carrier
11.Other Safety Projects and Good Health Promotion
Objective : To prevent and control infective diseases
11.1 Rabies Prevention
Objective : To vaccinate cats and dogs against rabies, and train the residents
how to arrange safety in their community
Campaign : we provide field vaccination service for the residents’ s cats
and dogs against rabies from January to April in every year.
11.2 Dengue Fever Prevention Objective : To prevent Dengue fever in the community
Campaign : We launched a campaign to educate the public on the Dengue
fever prevention, and also Zika fever which caused by common house
mosquitoes. Moreover, in cooperation with the community
membership such as Udom Wittaya School, village’s health volunteers,
the village chiefs, the elderly and juveniles, we arranged to spray
mosquito repellent and give out some Abate sand.
Flood
Objective : Our intention is to stay well prepared for the probable flood.

11.2 The Dental Check-Up and Fluoride Varnish Coating
Objective : We aim to look after dental health and prevent tooth decay among
children.
Activity : There are dental check-up and Fluoride Varnish coating to prevent
tooth decay.

11.3 The Prevention of Hand, Foot and Mouth Disease
Objective : We intend to prevent and control Hand, Foot and Mouth disease.
Activity : There is a campaign to educate the public on the disease. We do the
cleaning at the Child Development Center, the playground equipment
and the instructional materials.

• Warning Signs in the Community
We put up some notices in order to conduct a helmet wearing campaign at the
Child Development Center of Taladkreab Sub-District Municipality.
We put up warning signs saying ‘Do Not Leave a Child in Car’ at the Child
Development Center of Taladkreab Sub-District Municipality.
We put up a sign to conduct a helmet wearing campaign in front of Taladkreab
Sub-District Municipality Office.
International Commitments
1.1 The first visit to the community is aimed to certify it to be the international
safe community by the Safe Community Committee.
Participation in the International Conference
• Taladkreab Sub-District Municipality was one of Thailand’s provincial
representatives that was selected to present an academic work in the
international seminar held in South Korea. We realize the importance of safe
community. In 2003, we were a primary organization that drove the campaign
and co-operated with the governmental agencies, for example, the Child
Safety Promotion and Injury Prevention Research Center, the Faculty of
Medicine at Ramathibody Hospital, Accident Prevention and Public Danger For
Strong Community Subcommittee, National Accident Commission, Department
of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation and Ayutthaya Department of Disaster
Prevention and Mitigation. We have been operating our task regularly until we
were certified as ‘a safe community’ at international level, able to reach the
required standard of the World Health Organization (WHO).
Participation in the International Conference
• Taladkreab Sub-District Municipality has been operating the safe community
task in cooperation with the Child Safety Promotion and Injury Prevention
Research Center. The World Health Organization (WHO) held the 20 th
International Conference on Safe Community during 6-9 September, 2011 in
Sweden, and Mr. Wichai Waiyati, the Mayor of Taladkreab Sub-District
Municipality, was selected by the committee to present the academic work
about the result of flood prevention and solution.
• Taladkreab Sub-District Municipality took part in the International Conference
on Safe Communities 2015, Nan, Thailand during 22-25 November, 2015.
