• In 2016, 37 cases of polio were reported in just three countries — Afghanistan, Nigeria, and Pakistan.
• As of 12 October 2017, only 11 cases of polio were reported this year.

Since we kick started the partnership of the Global Polio Eradication Initiative (GPEI) we have
• reduced global polio cases by 99.9%
• immunized 2.5 billion children
• saved 16 million people from paralysis
• contributed over USD $1.7 billion to the cause
