HISTORIC REFERENCE

In general about 44 thousand of professionals are trained for the national economy of the

country, including about 13 thousand of professionals trained for the system of

consumer cooperatives.

The average annual number of students at the University over the past five years was

9 thousand of students.

Objectives of the University, in completing of which the young scientists

should take an active part:

1) Enlargement and renovation of the spectrum of specialties and specializations, corresponding to the changing requirements of labor market, оn educational programmes at the first level of education.

Over past 6 years there were introduced 4 new specialties: «Information resources management», «Logistics», «Analysis and Audit», «Merchandising and Trade Entrepreneurship».

2) Development of practice-oriented master’s degree course.

In 2013 at the University there was introduced training on12 specialties of educational programmes at the second level of education with enhanced training.

Objectives of the University, in completing of which the young scientists

should take an active part:

5) Development of export of educational services.

4) Development of distance learning education. At the beginning of 2014 there was created a Department

of distance technologies and innovations .

6) Upgrading of material and technical basis of the University.

100 % of student of full-time course, that were in need of dormitories, are provided with a place in the dormitory.

3) Development of extra-mural form of education.

should take an active part:

7) Upgrading of the University according to the directions: университета по направлениям: - introduction of innovative technologies of the educational process, including development of electronic educational and methodical complexes

- modernization of scientific-research and innovative activities

- improvement of the infrastructure, working environment and energy networks

- modernization of computer, multimedia and office equipment

- development of university networks and corporative portal of the University

- modernization of library and information supply and editorial-printing activity

In accordance to the objectives set, the role of young scientists consists of:

Implementation of effective monitoring and labor market of educational services with the purpose of identifying innovative specialties (specializations) on educational programs

Arrangement of qualitative scientific and methodical supply, development of innovative electronic education and methodical complexes

Promotion of BTEU at national and international markets of educational services, including the means of effective use of information technologies, official websites and social networks

Investigation of international practices and identification of the newest educational technologies, making proposals on innovative transformation of material and technical resources and their implementation in the educational process

Activation of initiatives of young scientists on establishing research teams, ensuring the implementation of scientific and research work

Quality Management System

in compliance with the requirements

of СТБ ISO 9001-2009 is used at the University

and all the colleges of Belcoopsoyuz

47,4 % of academic personnel have academic degrees and academic ranks,

9 persons have a degree of a doctor of sciences . For the 2011-2013 years 7 leavers of postgraduate

course of BTEU completed Candidate’s dissertations.

In 1993 educational institutions of Belkoopsoyuz were the first ones in Belarus to cross over to the integrated system of training specialists, which

gave a possibility to shorten training period and и optimize training costs.

Currently 55,4 % of students are trained

according to the shortened training period on basis of secondary education.

Every semester of the academic year a scholarship of the President of the Republic of Belarus is awarded

to 4 students who have attained great strides in study, scientific-research and creative activities.

In general 57 representatives of BTEU were rewarded from the special funds of the President of the

Republic of Belarus on social support of gifted students.
