For residents who may have missed Buddy’s presentation, we areoffering a second chance to join in his adventure! In 2006, world travelerBuddy Perkel went on a fascinating expedition of the Sahara. His groupspent weeks with the Tuaregs, the blue people of the desert, whose livesare essentially unchanged from that of their ancestors. They thensearched for and found the Bororo nomads and continued on spendingtime with the Taneka and Samba tribes of Benin and the Hauser horsewarriors of Togo. All this was captured in the photos that will be at thecore of Buddy's talk. RSVP at concierge.

A FIELD TRIP TO WILD CARE, INC!Thursday, April 25Van leaves at 1PM, returning by 4PMStephanie Ellis, Executive Director of Wild Care, Inc. has graciously offered to give the residents aprivate tour of their facility in Eastham. Their mission is to help sick, injured, and orphanedwildlife through wildlife rehabilitation; to reduce the number of animals impacted by humanactivity through educational outreach; and to help protect the species and the ecosystems theyrepresent through advocacy and conservation. You will get to watch their dedicated volunteers atwork and possibly see baby squirrels, owls, turtles, aquatic birds, baby chicks and other educationalanimals. And for those who attended the last Wild Care event here at the Residences, a chance togive “Nickerson” another scratch on the chin. The tour will take place both indoors and outdoorsso please dress for the weather and wear comfortable walking shoes. Would be postponed if heavyrains forecasted.Please sign up at concierge no later than Friday, April 19.

In collaboration with the Council on Aging, we celebrate our resident, Miriam Stubbs, who is being honored asthe recipient of the Boston Post Cane at a ceremony in the Hatches Harbor Room on Friday, April 5 at 10am.Among the dignitaries attending, the Chair of the Select Board, Cheryl Andrews, will present the award.The cane was first awarded in 1909, always to the oldest voting resident in town. The original canes were

donated to 700 towns across New England by Boston Post publisher and Provincetown native Edwin Grozier.Provincetown is one of a small number of towns that still has its original cane. Please join us!
