LEARN HOW TO MAKE A QUILT A BASIC BEGINNER QUILT CLASS

NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY

Always wanted to learn to quilt or just improve your skills? We will cover all as-

pects of a quilt; cutting, piecing, block sizing, borders, basting, quilting and binding.

You will have a completed quilt when you graduate from this class. We have a few

machines available on request . Must pay in full to reserve a spot. This is a popular

class, so sign up early! Cost: $100 includes handouts. Mondays for 9 weeks starts

Join Jan Smith as she teaches the me-

chanics of hand applique. Using the

book, Best-Ever Applique Sampler by

Piece O Cake, Jan provides tips and

techniques so you can create this cute

wallhanging. Beginners are welcome. BALTIMORE APPLIQUE meets 1st wed. of the month. It is an ongo-

ing series. If you would like to join this

group, you must have experience in

applique and ask permission of the teacher.

Cost: $25/ pattern included Using the Posh Pumpkin Panel and Soft N Stable for the batting inside, create 4 simple placemats. The pattern includes

a Table Topper with the remaining 4 pumpkin prints from the panel.

scarecrows, accent them with yarns and

Nature’s Christmas. Just stack the fat

This is the newest pattern from Happy

Hollow Designs. If you like all the

other Topsy Turvy patterns, then you

will love this one too. Stop by the shop

to see this delightful wall hanging. We

give you plenty of time to have it

completed before Christmas.

how to free motion quilt on

your home machine. We will

talk about setting up your

workspace, basting, & prepa-

ration, plus hands on work.

This class helps you to feel at

ease with machine quilting.

This is a one patch design that has been

around for years but never goes out of

style. Jan Smith teaches the ins and outs

of this appealing pattern.

classes teaching how to draw

leaves, flowers and other de-

signs using your home sewing

machine. The class will give you

ideas for blocks & borders as

well as gaining experience in

free motion quilting. Prereq-

uisite: Machine Quilting Primer

STENCILS & SUCH Tues Oct 10 10-1pm or 6-9pm

Cost: $20

Learn how to use sten-cils, enlarge or reduce them & how to fit them into borders & blocks. We will experiment with different marking systems to help get that quilt done. Can bring a quilt to discuss options, but will not be working on it.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Here

at The Quilting Squares we support the efforts to

increase awareness of this horrible disease that

affect our fellow sisters. Stop in on Saturday

October 12th. A percentage of our sales that day

will go to a Breast Cancer Research Facility.

We will have refreshments, door prizes, & demos.

duces you to the many options that this

ruler uses in making multiple blocks. Pur-
