Projects title : One world one sign language
The projects Idea :
- The idea of the project is about the disability of deaf people to
communicate with others in the surrounding society or outer
society , because there is no unified sign language in the world
which leads for isolation and disability of adaption or sharing
in social life and this case leads to more violence . We can
evaluate any society with its caring with special needs people.
- We should confess their privacy language and try to find the
unified language for Arab deaf and for deaf in the word such as
the others in the society which speak Arabic or any other
language , so we have the idea of this project .
- But we have other reason for this project , to find sign Arabic
dictionary , but it is not active and its signs are difficult , and
by the projects idea , the student can share in making of sign
dictionary which contains easy signs .
- Now , the world try to mix special needs people in the
education and in society but how we can make this mixture
without unified sign language which enable deaf people to
communicate with their friends , local society Arab society and
all the world .
- In Egypt , there are no curriculum for the deaf rely on sign
language at all levels of education, and this was the catalyst for
us to work hard and continuously in the project.
Project Objectives
Publishing and enrich the sign language for the deaf as an
universal language.
Development of Communication and cooperation skill among
students .
Out of a world of isolation and frustration to a world that is
open to the people and the ocean, leading to balance and
adaptation and capacity development to contribute to the
social life, and the ability to give and take in knowledge fields .
Development of higher thinking skills for students such as
thinking , analysis and construction
Teaching strategies :
- We use the strategy of brainstorming , Project-based learning ,
problems solving and peers learning .
Task’s description :
- In this project we will divide the students to groups with caring
of co-operative working and the integration of the groups and
their individuals differences .
- Distribution of tasks for the students .
- Order the groups to distribute the roles and tasks and making
of primary time table for work stages .
- Presentation of resources which are possible for the students to
get the information from them safty .
Distribution of tasks as follow :
- First group : visit many places as the private education schools
and general education schools to announce about the project,
visit guidance centers for deaf people in different cities as Ain
Shams center , psychology guidance center in Assuit university
and the department of psychology health in Assuit university ,
making interview with professors and with dean of education
faculty in the university to spread the idea of the project and
suggest to teach sign language for the students of education
faculty to teach it after that for the students in schools as main
subject such as other languages Arabic, English and French
and making interviews in radio and upper Egypt channel in
T.V to spread the idea of the project.
- This group search in Arabic alphabet sign language for the
Deaf in different Arab countries and collected the signs and put
them in a PowerPoint presentation.

- Second group: makes cultural seminars and invites the
responsibles in the state to spread the idea and encourage them
to put a low to teach sign language to students in schools to
facilitate the contact between the two groups and break the
isolation and Frustration to enable the other accept the deaf
people .
- This group search in sign language in the countries: Egypt,
America and Britain and collecting the signs and put them in a
PowerPoint presentation to be presented to their colleagues. - Third group: This group search in sign language in the
countries: Kuwait, Sweden, France and India and Collecting
the signs and put them in a PowerPoint presentation.
- Create an open site on the Internet( Wiki).
- makes folder and prints with Microsoft office Program to
publish the idea of the project and production of videos and
power point presentations
- Fourth group:
- Create Group on Facebook.
- collects the greatest number of signs of the same word from
different countries by internet and publishes them on its group
on Facebook and every one collect signs as possible and follow
the same way and at the end they will choose one easy sign and
this will be the united sign of this word for all and the group
and collects data and analyses them.
-This group search in sign language in the countries of Poland,
Spain and France.
- Fifth group: Collecting the biggest number of signs from
different countries, comparing it to know the difference among
them and choosing the simplest for collecting it in sign Excel
sheet and Dictionary as guidance to students and the teacher.
- makes an exhibition for their article productions to invest their
artistic talents as drawing and manual productions and they
present these productions and put logo on them for their project
(Arabic united sign language) and to invest their talents to
beautification the walls of streets and put logos of their project
on them (one world – one sign dictionary) .
- collectively tasks: - We appealed one of the programmers in our town for our
training and help us to work with an electronic translator for
sign language by using the program: Microsoft Visual Basic
2010 Express.
- We designed electronic translator through the Internet by
using program Microsoft Expression web2- Ms. Expression
Studio
- And we designed an electronic translator for alphabetic Arabic
and English sign language for the Deaf and the numbers and
Colors and days of the week.
- collecting information on sign language and presented in the
form of games PowerPoint. logos and posters to announce the
project.
- produce videos using Movie Maker program.
- Category Reference to language signs are similar and different
in PowerPoint shows and educational games.
- create websites.
We are still continuing and we hope to work in the design of sign language so that we can translation sign language through body movement and tone of voice.

Achievement plan :
- The devices and programmers which I will need them :
computer – Microsoft office – screen plasma – overhead

- The abundance of devices and the place : these devices don’t
abundance in the school and there is a shortage of computers
there are only three computers and will have arrangement to
prepare a time table for the lab .

- The students were divided to grounds for lab library and
working room with a time table for that .
- The students who have a computer at home will invest it and
the others will collect information then cooperation with each
other .
Getting supporting from volunteers of parents and teachers :
- I need to these volunteers and any other supporting .
- I asked my manager for financial and phisology supporting
such as CDS tools prized for distinct students and I want
supporting from other teachers such as (Arabic – math – art –
science – the manger – the headmaster – pshologists and social
specialist) .
Delegations which I need before my beginning in the project :
1- Parent’s allowing for their sons to use interner under my
supervising . 2- Parents allowing for their sons to make field visits to many places as
private education schools and public education school and psyology
guidance centre under my supervising .
