Four weeks seems like a very short time. With focus and energy it can become a breakthrough time in your life and can set the

Success Curve of the Slight Edge in motion.

As we prepare for this breakthrough we will think on what gives us energy,

the desires of our heart, and what steals our energy. We will engage in train-ing by baby stepping our way into 3 new habits and taking them to official

routines. We will uncover the energy thieves in our life and free ourselves of them.

4. Make a commitment to daily tackle one of these Energy Steal-ers. You will be surprised how much progress can be made with focused energy and even 15 minutes a day. Most of the time it is not TIME, but ENERGY and Planning, that keeps us from ac-complishing what we wish to accomplish.

FAT LOSS TIP ---> Ask the waiter about portion sizes. ---> Split entrees when appropriate. ---> Take extra food home Dean Ornish says 1 ounce of alcohol decreases the body's ability to burn fat up to 35%. Sodas do a good job of stacking up the calories as well. And diet sodas are worse. Folks who drink diet sodas increase body fat more than those who don't . Drink water. Here are some eye opening stats on popular restaurant foods:

McDonald's Super size French fries = 610 calories. Big Mac = 600 calories and 1,090 mg of sodium.

Burger King BK Big Fish Sandwich = 710 calories and 1,200 mg sodium. Biscuit with Sausage, Egg, and Cheese = 650 calories

Denny's Meat Lover's Skillet = 1,344 calories Appetizer Sampler = 1405 calories, 24 grams of saturated fat. Good Choices: Grilled Alaska Salmon, Garden Chicken Salad skipping the dressing.

The Olive Garden Stuffed Mushrooms, Lasagna Classico, Tour of Italy = a wallop of calories and fat in each of these. Avoid. Watch the bread sticks: they can stack up mountains of calories and fat in a few minutes. Good Choices: Veal Scaloppini, Capellini Pomodoro, Chicken Giardino

TGI Friday's Friday's Tostado Nachos = a boatload of saturated fat, calories and sodium Baby Back Ribs = serious calories. Jack Daniel's Steak and Shrimp = tons of calories and fat. Good Choices: Fresh Vegetable Medley, Grilled Chicken Caesar (without the dressing). Tips for Specialty Restaurants

Mexican: Order corn tortillas or take your own homemade Paleo Easy Tortillas.. Choose chicken, beef or vegetable fajitas with vegetables instead of rice and beans. Italian: Stick to a salad, steamed vegetables, broiled fish or chicken. Chinese: Most is high in fat. Look for stir-fried vegetables. Call in advance to be sure they do NOT USE MSG. Steakhouse: Order the leanest steak on the menu. No butter on potato. Consider substituting steamed vegetables and a dinner salad (dark lettuce) instead.

Most important:: Eat slowly and enjoy the company more than the food.

Capturing Thoughts -Challenge: Do you have your pen to write it down? Get a rubber band and put it on your wrist. Each time you hear yourself say anything that you know is not taking you toward the new you that you are believing to become, SNAP the rubber band and SAY "that is not like me anymore. Up until now I may have been like this but not anymore. " Turn the thought around by saying. "I am fabulously fit and abundantly healthy. It is just like me." Immediately come back to your predetermined home based thought ------Think intentionally----Cherish that thought. -Second strategy: Get in tune with what your are saying to yourself by spending 5 minutes each night or early am writing as fast as you can every thought that crosses your mind. Star(*) the good and (x) the bad. Count the score. We are turning our thoughts around so they will serve us instead of holding us captive from all the blessings God is trying to give to us. I ask you for seven days beginning tonight as day one to spend 5 minutes with your journal and cap-ture your thoughts just as we did a few minutes ago. Each email tip this week will have this chal-lenge at the top to remind you. Each email tip will end with a question. The question will ask you which direction you are going today. Press reply and tell me if you are going Forward: I am becom-ing fabulously fit and abundantly health Or Backward: I am changing direction now. Make this deci-sion on the 5 minutes of writing you have done for the day.

Let's get all the gears moving. We have opportunities all around us to use our muscles even more than just in our workouts. Let's think about these possibilities:

Each time you rise from a seated position, use your leg muscles only. Use your arms less and less and allow your legs to do the work. While standing in a line or talking on the phone, rise up and down on your toes to strengthen your calves and ankles. While balance is being improved, lightly support yourself if needed. As you are putting away groceries into your cabinets, place one can in each hand (should you have any cans in the midst of all those fresh foods) and slowly raise your arms out to the side of your body until parallel to the floor. Repeat this three times with each set of cans before putting them away.

It is never too late. In one study, participants who averaged 87 years in age, increased their muscu-lar strength by 110 percent by using a regular basic strength-training plan. When you, with INTEN-TION, incorporate strength activities into your daily life, you reap the benefits of stronger muscles, tendons, ligaments, and bones. We should all get our parents into this program. It could add years of life to their life. Most people are in nursing homes because of neglect. They neglected to take care of themselves.

Change is not easy. Change occurs at different rates in each of us. The change process has begun for each one of you reading this email or you wouldn't be reading it. You have taken the first step and that is, you have become AWARE that there are areas in your life that you wish to improve. Because some of us go through the stages of change very quickly and others need more time, we must watch comparing our rate of change to others. There are many variables: we don't all have the same amount of fat to lose, or the same health issues we are facing, or the same support or lack of support from family and friends. Each of us are totally unique and special. But the important thing to remember is that we have each be-gun. Remember, it takes 90% more effort to get an object at rest moving than to keep it moving. Keep the mo-mentum going. The hardest part is done. The second step in change is knowledge. Knowledge brings motivation. The more you listen to the calls, the more you read the emails, you are learning and gaining motivation. The third step is action. The change will take place inside in your mind and in your heart first. Your thoughts will begin to take a different direction. Your mouth will speak different words. The momentum has begun. The bamboo tree is growing whether we see it or not. It is changing and growing. One more baby step here and one more baby step there and all of a sudden the change moves outside and we begin to look like a different person and feel like a different person. In fact, we are becoming a new person because the treasures of greatness are being released from within. How good could you really look? How great could you really feel? You will have more if you don't settle for less. Press on, Team Fabulous. Begin setting your goals to take you on through the finish of this this course and into the next.

HEALTH TIP Journaling's Power Our challenge this past week was to spend 5 minutes each day and just write our thoughts. I asked you not to pre-judge what you wrote, but just to write like the wind. Doing this myself, I came upon a realization: As I began just writing my thoughts, not only did my reams begin to surface; but crea-tive ideas, instructions and even correction began to come to my paper. I began to hear from heaven. . I am so encouraged as I realize how I need to sharpen this tool of journaling as it contains great power. Each email tip you read, each lesson you complete, and each call you listen to is strength-ening your vision of becoming Fabulously Fit and Abundantly Healthy. Without a vision my people perish, God tells us. Vision empowers you to expect changes in your life. People without a clear vi-sion are easily distracted. This would be the enemy's plan....to get you off course. Nothing can stop a focused person. Come on Team let's focus on our victory. Let's focus on our plan. Let's press in and make these last four weeks extraordinary. It takes courage to set a course and remain faithful to it. Adjust your attitude and your focus will become sharper. Achievement comes when you decide to live your possibilities. A clear vision for your breakthrough, along with the courage to see it through dramatically increases your possibilities for experiencing the best year you have ever had. Is your vision clearly before you for this 12 Week time frame of your life?

FITNESS TIP Just as stretching and focus is required in your strength training workouts, so is stretching and focus required for the breakthroughs in your life. I saw in the beginning of my weight training program that I could lift so little weight. I kept stretching little by little. I had to focus intently on getting that weight up. I had to have confidence to even try. I remember in the beginning I would begin a little and think this is way too heavy, I can't even try. But try I did and with baby steps I kept pressing until the weight training was something I had confidence about. Let's parallel this with our life goals for this particular Breakthrough. Whatever goals you have de-cided upon, these goals are calling to you to focus on them. Get them before your eyes. Paint the outline of hope so clearly that your faith has a strong framework to give substance to. (Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.) These goals are also calling for you to stretch toward them. Take another baby step today and then another tomorrow. To accom-plish these goals confidence must be built; hope must turn to anticipation, and then to faith. This will happen by repetition. Here a little, there a little as you learn from the calls, then the e-mail tips. You are gaining momentum. You are breaking through the impossible in your life. You can do it.

FAT LOSS TIP You have to see your breakthrough with the eye of faith before you will ever see it in the natural realm. If you can't see your breakthrough, it is highly improbable you will never have one. But if you can catch the vision, what you see on the inside will be more real to you than what you see on the outside.

Failure is not final. Setbacks are solvable. Hey team, we are going to the top of the mountain. You can't imagine how high that may be. God has magnificent things for you to accomplish. It is okay to be hungry! If you are finding that you may be getting hungry more often this is a sign that your metabolism is beginning to work more efficiently. Praise the Lord for this. The key here is to eat your mini frequent meals so you do not become too hungry and binge. Another sign of in-creased metabolism is the growth of your nails. As your metabolism increases your body will be-come a very efficient fat-burning machine. Fiber is one of those nutrients with immense value for the Fabulously Fit and Abundantly Healthy. Fiber does many things noteworthy of mentioning. I will mention only a couple. -->1. Fiber acts as an eraser sweeping the digested food right on through the intestines. This is criti-cally important for health. Most every disease begins in the colon because of trapped food and slow transit time. -->2. A famous fiber authority, Dennis Burkett, found in his research in Africa that the natives who ate a high fiber diet eliminated most of the calories (not nutrients but calories) they consumed. Those natives who ate an American diet the (S.A.D. diet) absorbed almost all the calories they consumed. Eating more fiber, which is found in fresh raw veggies, fresh raw fruit, whole grains, fiber supple-ments, and slim plan will give you multiplied benefits and help you lose even quicker. -->3. Fiber fills us up so we aren't as hungry for too much food at once. It only does this if enough water is drank throughout the day: before and after meals, but not during. We are chewing our food so well that we need no beverage with our meals.

Solomon, who wrote by the inspiration of God Himself: “Life and death are in the power of the tongue.”

- What you consistently think and say will take you forward into the success you desire to become Fabulously Fit and Abundantly Healthy, or what you think and say on a con-sistent basis will turn you around and take you backward toward failure of ever achiev-ing your goal.

- Our thoughts that we thought yesterday became words. Our words that we spoke yesterday---made life what it is today. Did you hear that? You and I are where we are today because of what we have allowed ourselves to think on and to speak.

Your faith frames your world daily. Words are carriers of faith. Your words create im-ages and eventually you will live out the reality of that image. Every time you speak your faith, it creates a stronger image inside you. The 12WKC is designed to change that image you have of yourself because you will live out the image you hold.

- Your words are building blocks constructing your life and your future. Your words set the boundaries of your life. You live within the confines of those boundaries.

- Your own words give instructions to your body and your immune system and they will eventually respond to your instructions. God’s method is to call for positive things, even though they are not yet there. You call them until they are there. Your body will re-spond to the demands of the human spirit.

- Words heal us or make us sick.

- Words bless us or curse us.

The words you speak locate you.

- The words you speak fix the landmarks of your life. If you feel like you are on a pla-teau in your fitness and health journey, examine your words. Have you set some land-marks by your words that you must cross over? Don’t even say you are on a plateau. It will keep you there. Say, “I am going forward. I might have slowed down a degree, but I am gaining speed and breaking all barriers.” Let your words empower you. Let your thoughts empower you.

Job 22:28 Thou shalt also decree a thing and it shall be established unto thee (and the light of God's favor shall shine upon your ways.)

Notice the scripture says that "thou", meaning you and meaning me, shall do the decreeing of what will be established in our life and in our health. You and I are the ones who will take the underlying principle of faith and decree, (speak into existence) exactly what will be established in our life. Heb 11:1 Now FAITH is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things NOT seen. Our words are coins in the kingdom of faith. You can spend these coins to purchase extraordinary treasures of life and health. These coins will give substance to all the things you are hoping for. They will bring those things not seen in your life right now into the seen. Strategy to use your coins wisely! Action: What things concerning your fitness and health are you calling into existence today? Are you using your coins to your advantage? 1. Deposit hope-filled thoughts into your heart. Your heart will speak whatever is in it in abundance. Cherish the thought of every encouraging thought that comes your way. Deposit inspiring emails, books, classes, tapes to stir up your hope. Guard your heart. 2. Think on three things in your fitness and health that are still in the "are not" stage and begin today to consistantly call those things which be not as though they were. One translation of this scripture goes on to say......and they become. 3. Faith and patience combined with consistency unlock many closed doors. Keep on depositing, keep on calling. Your "are not's" are becoming. They are on the way. Keep on beckoning them in. Keep your angels working. Don't tie up their hands with the wrong coins. Referring to God speaking to Abraham: Romans 4 :17 (As it is written, I have made thee a father of many nations), before him whom he be-lieved, even God, who quickeneth the dead, and calleth those things which be not as though they were. What might you be speaking into existence? Here are some of the things I am speaking daily: (I have these and many others printed on 4 X 6 cards that I daily speak into existence. I just keep them together and encourage myself each morning as I speak them. I am making deposits of faith into my heart as I read and speak them.) Because I know how to instantly change channels and think on those things good and pure and lovely and of a good report, I capture the energy and ability to break out of my comfort zone like a rocket.

Just the thought of the diamonds of opportunity embedded in the mountains blocking my path, causes me to

press in determinedly, go through victoriously, and find every diamond in that mountain. I break barriers. I never quit.

Coloring my day SUNSHINE energizes joy, hope, passion and expectation in my heart. Just the thought of God's immeasurable love for me reassures me that every past disappointment and set-back has been an ordained, precise, character-building stair step preparing me for the double blessings of 2006.

Your Words are Building Blocks Proverbs 18:21Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit

Your words are building blocks of which you construct your own life, your health, your future. Your words set the landmarks of your life, and you live within the confines of that boundary you create with your own words. God's Word is supernatural. By mixing faith with God's word by speak-ing it out of your mouth, you will be applying God's medicine. Your thoughts and words produce a vivid blueprint and you will live within the bounds and limitations of that blueprint. Let's create a blue-print that lines up with the Word of God and thus get our angels busily working for us. Words are carriers of faith. Your own words will create im-ages and eventually you will live out the reality of those images. Each time you speak your faith, it will create a stronger image inside you. God de-clares that His Word will not return to Him void. We are to return His word by giving VOICE TO IT, and He will create the fruit of our lips. Following are some examples of words concerning your health that you can begin speaking into existence: ----> "Every organ and tissue of my body functions in the perfection that God created it to function. I forbid any malfunction in my body in Jesus' name. (Gen. 1:28,31)" ----> "Heavenly Father, as I give voice to Your Word, the law of the Spirit of Life in Christ Jesus makes me free from the law of sin and death. And your Life is energizing every cell of my body. (Rom. 8:12)" ----> "I am redeemed from the curse of the law and my heart beats with the rhythm of life. The spirit and life of God's Word flows in me cleansing my blood of every disease and impurity. (Proverbs. 4:20-23)" ----> "My immune system grows stronger day by day. I speak life to my im-mune system. I forbid confusion in my immune system. The same Spirit that raised Christ from the dead dwells in me and quickens my immune system with the life, and wisdom of God, which guards the life and health of my body." FITNESS TIP Stand with both of your hands on a counter. Shift your weight to one leg. Left the other foot barely off the ground. How long can you hold this position? Take another step: Let go with one hand. Then let go with the other hand and hold the position. If you can stand on one foot unsup-ported for a count of 10, you have good balance. If you cannot stand this long begin to, WITH INTENTION, regain your balance by: --- > Practice walking on straight lines. --- > Work toward balancing on curbs or the edge of a sidewalk. --- > Seek to balance as you brush your teeth, wash dishes, or comb your hair. --- > Practice light stretching in the morning to wake up sleeping joints and muscles. --- > Commit to keeping your balance and your flexibility even into old age. “Habits are safer than rules. You don’t have to keep them. They keep you.”

Capturing Thoughts Here we began to press in diligently to Capture Thoughts. We did a simple exercise here to get an idea of what our heart was saying yes to and what our heart was say-ing no to. We began to see which direction in life we were head-ing: toward our goals or away from them. I gave you two strate-gies to work on for the week to get you going in the direction of your dreams.

The Power of Our Every Word Here we saw that the battle is not only in the mind but also in the teeth. In more ways than one, but in particular in the way that our mouth, our words actu-ally sign for and release our thoughts. Life and death are in the power of the tongue. We talked about our angels just waiting to go to work for us when we speak the right words. We saw that many times we tie up our angels hands and they cannot work for us because of what we are saying. The Anointings No way to leave this out: The Anointing of

Discipline and we added, the Anointing of Gratitude. Discipline is a training. It is a drill. We are establishing order in our life. ….One of the common denominators of the wealthy. Dis-cipline and consistency always produce a harvest. One piece I need to add to this class is a statement by Master philosopher, Jim Rohn: There are two major pains in life. One is the pain of discipline, the other is the pain of regret. Discipline weighs ounces, but regret weighs tons when you allow your life to drift along unfulfilled.

We talked about our GIFT score: Gratefulness for the present, Intentional Hope for the future, Forgiveness of the past, tapping, with Trust, into the strength and Timing of God. Here we talked about life being an echo and how every single good thing we have been practicing over these past weeks will come back to us as a good thing.

Crossing the First Finish Line

Here we are! Ready to press in for this last week. Let’s make this a high

point taking us onward to the next level in our journey to becoming fabu-lously fit and abundantly healthy. You have only just begun. My question to

you is: How good could you really look and how great could you really feel? Who is going with me to the next level?

- Winston Churchhill tells the story of the nose of a bulldog. It is slanted backwards so he can continue to breath without letting go. That is perse-

verance. When a bulldog latches onto something, he refuses to let go until his goal has been reached. And his nose is designed to allow him to keep

breathing without letting go. That is us: Bamboo Tree and Bulldogs. We are the consistently persistent.

Challenge: Press in this week with each component of the plan with more

intensity and focus than ever before. I challenge you to end this week feel-ing like a champion because you gave it more than your best. Your special

challenge this week is to purchase a very special notebook and daily write your five focus goals. Each day make them more and more exciting. Feel

being there more and more. This is so much fun. Each day you do this, say to yourself………I will keep dancing until it rains. I’m still dancing. I won’t

stop dancing. The rain is coming. These goals are beginning to magnetically

draw you to them. Nothing can stop it. They are sweeping your off your feet in this awesome August.

Part two of the challenge: As you focus on the goals of this particular chal-

lenge run, begin to dream bigger and begin to set your next 12 week breakthrough goals. When this week ends you will shift focus onto your

next twelve week breakthrough goals and write them each day in this spe-cial journal. If you will do this until the next challenge begins………….my

what a head start you will have.

dence appearing real

Greedy? Take Vitamin G.

Be on your guard against all kinds of greed; a man's life does not consist in the abundance of his posses-

sions." (Luke 12:15)

Hesitant? Take Vitamin H.

How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of the messenger who announces peace, who brings good

news, who announces salvation, who says to Zion, "Your God reigns." (Isaiah 52:7) Take the gift of

health. Bring good news.

Insecure? Take Vitamin I.

I can do all things through Him who strengthens me. (Phil 4:13) We have I CAN attitudes.

Jittery? Take Vitamin J.

Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever. (Hebrews 13:8)

Spiritual Vitamins

Nervous? Take Vitamin N.

Never, no never will I leave you nor forsake you. (Hebrews 13:5)

Overwhelmed? Take Vitamin O.

Overcome evil with good. (Romans 12:21) Again, practice your gratitudes.

Perplexed or puzzled? Take Vitamin P.

Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your

hearts be troubled, and do not let them be afraid. (John 14:27)

Quitting? Take Vitamin Q.

Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be men of courage; be strong. In Quietness and confidence

(trust) is your strength. (1 Corinthians 16:13) (Isa 30:15)

Restless? Take Vitamin R.

Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for Him. (Ps 37:7)

Scared? Take Vitamin S.

Stay with Me, and do not be afraid; for the one who seeks my life seeks your life; you will be safe with

Me. (1 Samuel 22:23)

Tired? Take Vitamin T.

Those who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength, they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they

shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint. (Isaiah 40:31) Remember your TPM time.

Uncertain? Take Vitamin U.

Understand that I am (the Lord). Before me no God was

formed, nor shall there be any after me. (Isaiah 43:10)

Vengeful? Take Vitamin V.

Do not take revenge, my friends, but leave room for God's wrath, for it is written: "Vengeance is mine; I

will repay," says the Lord. (Romans 12:19) FGH formula:

Forgiveness of the past, Gratitude for the present, Hope for the future.

Weak? Take Vitamin W.

FAT LOSS TIP - PLATEAUS

Just as life has it’s mountains, valleys and plateaus; so will our Fabulously fit journey take a similar

course. The key to your success will be your determination to keep going forward (headed toward your

next breakthrough) no matter what or where you find yourself as you note circumstances. We walk by

faith and not by sight.

Following are some ideas for rising above a plateau:

1. Go through your SUCCESS acronym and be absolutely sure that you are not missing any of the com-

ponents of your plan.

2. It may be important to once again jump-start your metabolism with an increased intensity level to

your exercise plan and by following an alternating day plan in your eating plan.

Here is your strategy:

A. On the first day of your week have three shakes in the authorized combinations and for your other

three meals have meals of raw vegetables and raw fruit (no meat or bread). The raw foods are filled with

raw enzymes to kick the metabolism into gear. Try for 4 servings of raw fruit (variety) and 4 servings of

raw vegetables (variety) throughout the day. On this day of fruit and veggie servings, let your fiber con-

tent in these raw fresh foods make up for your protein serving in that particular meal. The "I Love Diet-

ing" plan uses this strategy with great success. (Let’s NOT include bananas and grapes in the fruit selec-

tions due to high sugar content.) Day two of your week go back to your set plan of six small meals

throughout the day balanced with equal carb and protein in each meal.

B. Day three go back to the plan of day one.

C. Day four repeats day two.

D. Day five again goes to day one.

E. Day six = day two

F. Day seven = your call, but it may be good to skip FREE DAY for this week and alternate again with day

one

G. Increase your pure water intake (not just ½ body weight in ounces….more like ¾ body weight in

ounces for this week.)

H. Increase your Lecithin to 3 after each meal as lecithin emulsifies fat. Add Glucose Regulation Complex

(also called Craving Reduction Complex) to your supplement plan, as this will begin to empower the glu-

cose from your food to be utilized for energy versus stored as fat.

My weight loss has hit a plateau; what can I do?

Everyone who goes through this process is going to hit a plateau. There are many changes in your body

that have to take place and you have to hit a plateau. don't view it as negative. It might signal that you

need to modify something: your calorie intake or the amount of exercise.

Most of the time it's about the exercise. It's the whole premise behind training with exercise. Many of us

believe we punch the exercise time clock. You're doing the same 20 minutes or half hour at the same

grade on the treadmill at the same speed. When you get stronger, you need to up the ante on that.
