Nestling deep in the beautiful Sussex countryside, PowderMills

is a stunning 18th Century listed Country House Hotel set in 150 acres

where wild geese, swans, ducks, kingfishers and herons abound.

We even have our own sheep grazing in the fields, and a peacock of course.

Located just outside the medieval town of Battle where the famous Battle

was fought in 1066, the Hotel is steeped in history going back over 400 years.

PowderMills has 49 luxury rooms and a beautiful Bridal Suite to

accommodate you and your guests, and with exclusive use it can be your own

country house for your special celebration.

From small intimate gatherings to large lavish wedding functions up to 250

Wedding Planner to offer all the expert help and advice needed

on every aspect of the day from choosing flowers, booking

entertainment and decorating the venue.

Our Master of Ceremonies and dedicated staff take care of

everything and provide a professional service in a genuinely relaxed

and friendly atmosphere.

Whether the wedding you’re planning is large or small, we have a number

of stylish options for your Ceremony, Wedding Breakfast

and Evening Reception.

PowderMills is licenced to hold civil ceremonies and civil partnerships

inside the romantic Music Room or Pavilion. Outside ceremonies can be

held in a unique setting by our idyllic lake.

Tempting wedding menus combined with delicious wines, ensure that

your wedding breakfast is a gourmet experience.

All our produce is locally sourced and our award-winning Chef creates

seasonally changing menus and is happy to tailor-make your own

Wedding Day Menu.

THE MUSIC ROOM

This elegant room provides an informal and relaxed atmosphere with views across the front lawns and lake.

The Music Room is licensed for Civil Ceremonies and can hold up to 80 guests.

FUNCTION ROOMS & SUITES THE LAKE HOUSE

An idyllic and unique location, the Lake House is licensed for memorable outside ceremonies.

THE PAVILION SUITE

Located just a few steps from the Hotel, with wonderful views across the front lake and the swimming pool and gardens.

The Pavilion Suite can hold up to 180 guests for licensed Civil Ceremonies.

It can seat up to 180 guests for a Wedding Breakfast and 250 for an evening reception.

THE ORANGERY RESTAURANT

An attractive, light and airy room with a huge skylight and chandeliers.

The Orangery’s large windows look out onto gardens and the swimming pool, with access to the terrace.

It can seat up to 120 guests for a Wedding Breakfast.

THE CLOISTERS

A spacious and secluded suite near the Hotel with garden views.

It can seat up to 80 guests for a Wedding Breakfast and 120 for an evening reception.
