Laura Damiano www.lauradamianodesigns.com
About Page – Meet Me Hi there, I am Laura Damiano. I create one-of-a-kind stationery and branding that expresses my
clients’ unique personalities and stories surrounding their events. It probably wouldn’t surprise
you if I told you that since the time I could hold an art utensil--whether it be a paint brush,
marker or crayon--I was doing so every spare moment I could find. I remember playing in my
dad’s desk drawers for hours and creating artwork that my mother has now made into a collage
for her home. I learned to create everything by hand, and still prefer that method today.
I’d like for you to meet my business side-kick, Missy. Missy is a Yorkshire Terrier, and she
hangs out with me all day long. Missy has her own little bed in each room of my house, so no
matter where I am working in the studio, she is always by my side. She is also the first to greet
clients and the UPS delivery man when they knock on my door, wearing her little pink, polka
bow.
My mission is to be an integral part of my clients’ projects and make each design unique. I am
able to achieve this because no two client designs are ever the same. I create pieces that
express the individual style of my clients, and there is no limit to the style, color, creativity, or
fonts I incorporate. Do you want traditional, trendy, or funky stationery? Are you looking for a
unique design to express your brand? I am able to create exactly what you want, the way you
want it, without limiting your vision or creative ideas.
I pour my heart and soul into each design I create. I am honored that I have won several awards
during the five years I have been in business. In 2013, I was awarded the “Best of Westchester
Award”, which is based on votes by readers of Westchester Magazine. In 2014, I was awarded
the prestigious “40 Over 40 Award” by the Business Council of Westchester. I have also been
consecutively awarded, for the past five years, numerous awards from the Wedding Wire
including the “Couples’ Choice Award” and “Bride’s Choice Awards”.
When I am not busy at work designing for my wonderful clients, you will find me in a Soul Cycle
class sweating, getting a good mental cleanse, and jamming to electronic dance music--on my
bike! I love pizza and traveling, and generally spend lots of time on the west coast of Florida
with my family.

Jim & Tammy Holloway www.bayhaveninnbnb.com
About Page – Meet the Innkeepers Our story is unusual, we are sure of it. We met on eHarmony, an online dating site, in 2004.
Within 6 months, we were engaged and have been happily married for close to a decade now.
We took a “chance” in the dating world, just as we took a “chance” in the Bed & Breakfast
ownership world...and we haven’t looked back on this marvelous journey!
When we began dating, it became very clear that we both shared a love for entertaining,
cooking, making new recipes, and hosting weekend guests. Long after the guests had left, we
continued to relive the visit and talk about the memories that were created over food, drink, and
companionship.
I (Tammy) was a former event planner for the American Chamber of Commerce, and planning
details made me giddy with creative excitement! I (Jim) was a career man with the Air Force;
however, you could often find me teaming up with others on the base, organizing and catering
events. This should come as no surprise to those who know me--I grew up with a pot in one
hand and a spoon in the other--as my mother’s job was to manage the Roanoke County
School’s food service program.
We always thought that we would own a Bed & Breakfast in our retirement years, but as fate
would have it, the plan materialized much earlier. When Jim’s mother, Polly, passed, we
decided that life was too short to continue putting off our dreams. The following months were a
flurry of activity. We would spend hours asking “what-if” questions: What if we did own a B&B
now? What if it was located in a destination location? What if the house we found was already
converted to a B&B? What if we could find all of this AND it be at the beach?
Once the dreams started becoming a reality, we got to work searching for the perfect house to
transform into a B&B. After Tammy had spent some time looking online for properties, another
sign appeared and showed us we were on the right path. Our property that we now own, located
at 403 Tazewell Avenue, shared something in common with Jim’s late mother: Miss Polly who
was born and raised in Tazewell County, Virginia. We were certain that Miss Polly was sending
her blessings and bestowing them upon us!
It took 1.5 years to clear the “jungle” and give the ole’ gal a facelift. Weeds and trees were
cleared, as well as wayward vines, ultimately transforming the property into a peaceful oasis of
beautiful gardens for The Bay Haven Inn of Cape Charles guests to enjoy. As innkeepers, we
are passionate about creating an experience for our guests when they come to visit. Our goal is
to provide the space--a haven, an escape--from the outside world. For some guests, that means
long, leisurely hours on the porch, napping, sipping tea, and reading. For others, it means walks
on the beach, long bike rides, a kayaking adventure, or peacefully enjoying a sunset over the
Chesapeake Bay. As we like to say, we invite you to “Relax, rejuvenate, and restore at your
haven on the shore.”

The Journey of Success www.thejourneyofsuccess.com
About Page
Welcome to The Journey of Success--we are so happy you have found us. Our mission is to deliver happiness by aligning individuals with their purpose and passion in all aspects of life. Are you constantly spinning, spinning, spinning in the hamster wheel of life? Do you often feel like you are so busy with your career, family, and other obligations, that you have lost sight of your true purpose? Do you dream of doing something more fulfilling, aligning your passion with your vision, and finding true happiness and success? If you answered yes to any of the above questions, you are in the right place. We are Chris and Rayna Samples, founders of The Journey of Success, and we believe that you have the ability to define, reach for, and set your own course of success. Success means different things to different people. We are all at different stages in this continuum called life and that shapes our definition, but we believe:
The principles of success never change--they merely create a firm foundation to build upon.
Success leaves clues for us to follow, and there are many paths we can take to become successful. We can learn from those who have found success before us--taking their lessons and using them as a launching point, rather than starting from ground zero.
Success ultimately equals happiness, and an individual’s happiness is contingent upon actively pursuing his or her discovered purpose and passion.
Once someone identifies his or her purpose (working, entrepreneurship, serving others, etc.) then all aspects of life become more satisfying. As Ralph Waldo Emerson once said, “Once you make a decision, the universe conspires to make it happen.”
Success is only achieved by never giving up--grit, tenacity, perseverance, and diligence are all key cornerstones.
True success requires a shift in mindset--you must believe in and have faith in yourself.
You might be surprised to find that our own Journey of Success has been a path filled with failures, rather than instant successes. However, we continue failing forward--meaning we learn from our mistakes and shortcomings, and we pick ourselves up, refine the process, and when necessary, try something completely new. All of this requires us to be completely aligned with our values, stay focused on our mission, and continue to possess the qualities of integrity and honesty above all else. We also find much comfort in this process by staying spiritually grounded in faith.

Are You Contemplating Divorce?
During this stage it is very common to have a lot of fear about your future. If you are the one
deciding to leave the relationship, you may be experiencing guilt about the impact your decision
will have on the people you love and care about. You may be concerned about the finances and
how everything is going to work out. You may also decide after we work together that you want
to save your marriage. Whatever you decide to do, the end result is ensuring that you are

unique and I am here to listen to your story, to validate your experience, and encourage your
next steps. You will finally experience having someone who is on your side who is
compassionate and non-judgmental, yet holds you lovingly accountable for reinventing your life

separately from your partner, as you redefine yourself as a single person. Learning to manage
your emotions as you interact with your ex can be a difficult and messy process.
If you have children, you will be working out parenting schedules, custody arrangements, and
may experience much conflict and frustration. Communication is likely to be challenging as you
negotiate necessary changes from a variety of perspectives.
I will support you throughout this process. I will hold your hand every step of the way and love
you. You can count on me to listen to you without judging you and to help you make informed
choices which align with your values.

“During the spring semester of our daughter’s junior year we finally began thinking about
college – and realized we didn’t have as much time as we thought to get it done. When we saw
the price tag of many of the private colleges we liked, we were very concerned about how to pay
that entire bill.
But, we didn’t want to limit our daughter’s college search to the local state schools, so we
decided to work with Jeanmaire Keller.
Throughout our college search effort, Jean was very helpful – working with us to figure it all out:
the college search, evaluating colleges, financial aid concerns, the forms, etc. She even helped
us weigh the pros and cons of the final selection.
As a direct result of our work with Jean, my daughter is getting a great education, and I’m on
track to save at least $70,000 on her college tuition.
Thank you Jean and Keller College Services.”

The winter snows have thawed, and there are hints of warmer weather on the horizon. If you are
a runner or cyclist, chances are you are ready to hit the streets to begin training and enjoy the
spring sunshine and warmth.
But...don’t act too fast!
Many injuries happen in the spring--especially to runners and cyclists--because they are overly
excited about getting outdoors again. The best thing you can do for your body is ease back into
your outdoor exercise routine. Doing so will ensure that you reduce your risk of injury and are
able to enjoy all the warmer days ahead.
7 Tips to Avoid Injuries for Runners and Cyclists
1. Build Your Mileage Gradually: If you do too much, too soon, too fast, your body will not be
able to adapt at the proper rate. Build your weekly mileage by no more than 10% per week. This
means that if you run or cycle 7 miles this week, next week you should run or cycle nor more
than 7.70 miles.
2. Stretch Warm Muscles Often: Whether it’s your hamstrings, calf muscles, or hip flexors,
runners and cyclists need to pay extra attention to areas of tightness. Stretching is best after a
10 to 15 minute warm-up period when your muscles are warm. It is also wise to stretch at the
end of your workout as well.
3. Listen to Your Body: Your body has a built-in signaling system (aches, soreness, and pain)-
-but it is up to you to listen to the signals! The rule is rather simple: If something hurts, take the
day off. Rest is a very important part of an athlete's overall training plan.
4. Strength Train for Alignment: It is highly important that your body remains properly aligned
while cycling and running. One of the greatest ways to attain proper alignment is through
strength training. Working on the core, hips, and lower legs keeps your pelvis and lower joints
properly aligned--and helps prevent knee and ankle injuries.
5. Pay Attention to Your Posture: Most of our days are spent hunching forward--we work on
computers, eat dinner at low tables, and sit in chairs that are not ergonomically correct. When
you run or cycle, and if you experience lower back pain, chances are you are also hunching
forward during your workout. This puts strain on the lower back. Be sure your bike is fitted to
your body and your running shoes are fitted for your feet.
16
Paspa Physical Therapy continued
6. Be Sure to Cross-Train: Swimming, yoga, rowing, and pilates are excellent cross training
activities for both runners and cyclists. When used as a supplement in your training, you will
improve your muscle balance and have a higher chance of staying injury free.
7. If Injured, Follow RICE: RICE stands for Rest, Ice, Compression, and Elevation. For achy
muscles and joints, RICE will help reduce swelling, relieve pain, and protect the damaged
tissue. RICE is most effective when implemented immediately following an injury. Apply ice for
15 minutes, elevate the affected area, and add an ACE bandage for compression.
Follow these 7 tips to remain injury free as you kick off your cycling and running training
programs this spring!

Your Kitchen Water May Be Killing You
Diet is one of the most important factors of good health, and what you eat and drink does affect
your overall appearance, stamina, and energy levels. Many people are aware that they must
watch what they eat for optimal health, but are you concerned about beverages you are putting
into your body--specifically water?
Alkaline water, which is water that measures between 8.5 - 9.5 on the pH scale, can lead to
incredible health benefits, including:
weight loss
lower blood pressure
lower cholesterol levels
increased sleep
lower risk of osteoporosis
What’s Wrong With Your Water?
The chances that you are drinking “bad” water are high; toxins from the environment, water that
is too acidic, and water that has been depleted of essential minerals are present in our homes,
especially our kitchens.
That apple you just washed with tap water? Not good. And that soup you just made with
standard bottled water, or water filtered through your favorite water filtration system? You are
actually harming your body because the water you are using is too acidic.
Why Water pH Matters to You
The blood supply level in your body is maintained at a pH range of 7.35 - 7.45. When you
consume water that is acidic, including tap water, filtered water, and bottled water, your body is
depleted of its alkaline buffer in order to maintain the proper pH. How does your body create this
balance? It pulls calcium from your bones, as well as other areas, robbing your body of nutrition
and causing serious health problems in the process.
18
Mike Catino continued
Eliminate Chemical Cleaners
Highly alkaline and highly acidic waters can be used to clean and sterilize your kitchen, utensils,
pots and pans, and food preparation surfaces.
Strong alkaline water with a high pH (11.5 pH) emulsifies oil and is an excellent kitchen
cleaner, without leaving heavy chemicals and fumes behind that then affect your health
and the food in your kitchen.
Strong acidic water with a low pH (2.5 pH) kills bacteria and sterilizes kitchen surfaces, yet is
safe for food. Official lab tests show that 2.5 pH water was 99.999% effective in killing
Salmonella and E-Coli in just 30 seconds.

Grateful People Are Happier People!
Dear (name),
In what is traditionally a season of giving, it is so important for us to take pause and be thankful
for what we already have. Being grateful makes us more optimistic and reduces negativity—
and that's a huge reason to start focusing our thoughts on gratitude.
Gratitude for, and sharing what we have, is the fastest way to attract more of it. Energy follows
intention, so putting our intention and attention on things we find favorable, makes the rest of
our lives follow suit.
In a climate where the media has been so focused on a "poor" economy for so long, it is easy
for us to feel a sense of lack—as if we should have more, or that more should be available to
us. I see this in people that have not been directly affected by any economic downturn, as well
as those who have. We are hearing the outside messages over and over, so much so that we
begin to internalize them and view the world from that place of lack.
So what do we do about that?
I challenge you, this Thanksgiving, to change your world by changing your thoughts:
1. For 24 hours, stop any thoughts of lack in their tracks. Those thoughts can be as sneaky,
simple, and subtle as, "I don't have anything to wear," or "I'd better get some more sweet potato
before we run out!" They can also be more blatant, "I'll NEVER find another job when there are
5000 applicants for every position out there!"
2. In order to re-focus these thoughts, focus on what you DO have, right in any given moment. If
you bring your mind to exactly where your feet are standing in this moment, you will see that
everything is ok. This is what the meditation masters call Being Present. The truth is that when
we are grateful for the little things, like the meal we are about to eat, the clean air we are
breathing, or the family members who are sitting with us, it is much easier to be grateful for the
larger things.
When we are in a place of gratitude, we are in a place of allowing. This simply means that we
are open to receiving more. Think about it…if you hand a child a birthday gift and he throws a
tantrum because it is not what he wants, would you be apt to give that child another gift?
Probably not until you absolutely HAD to. He has set up the energy that makes it very difficult
for him to receive. If, however, that child said “thank you” and gave you a big hug, you might be
apt to bring him something the next time you saw him because you know how much it is
appreciated. The Universe works the same way. It's magnetic.

Our thoughts are living vibrations that go out and attract more vibrations like it. SO, if we are in a
thought loop of lack, whether it be from our experience or from hearing the same story over and
over, we are attracting that to us. By focusing on gratitude, we are opening ourselves up to
receiving more like the things we are grateful for.
Go ahead, try it this Thanksgiving.
I am most grateful for YOU.
Have a Happy, Healthy, and Loving Thanksgiving.

I made this recipe recently, and it got such a GREAT response that it will definitely be gracing

5 Ways to be Grateful Every Day:
1. Keep a Gratitude Journal:
Get a special journal, and each day, take a few minutes to jot down what you are grateful for on
that particular day. Include the small things—like a stranger holding the door for you when your
arms are full. Take the time to focus on these small moments of happiness. Writing them down
prevents you from forgetting them. It's good to look back at them on those days where things
don't seem to be going your way.
2. Express Your Gratitude.
When anyone in your life goes above and beyond for you, verbalize your appreciation. In person
is always best, but a handwritten note is also a nice gesture. Treating them to a quick snack or a
cup of tea is also a good way to say, "Thank you."
3. Show Respect.
Treat others with the same level of respect that you expect to receive. This includes smiling,
exuding patience, showing kindness, and LISTENING. You know how nice it feels when
someone takes a few extra moments to show kindness to you, so be that for others. The result?
Each of you will have a better day.
4. Stop Complaining.
Whether you verbalize your complaints out loud or you keep them quiet and hidden inside of
you, those thoughts carry a vibration. That vibration is resonating to lack. You are reinforcing a
negative state of mind every time you even have a thought of complaint. How do you start to
change that? When you notice the thought or hear the complaint come out of your mouth, stop
and take a few deep breaths and refocus your thoughts onto something positive.
5. Help Someone Else.
Helping another (human or otherwise) helps us to feel connected. It also helps us to feel useful,
and grateful that we are able to do something to help someone else—in any capacity. Studies
have shown that when a person is depressed, just helping another can alleviate some of the
symptoms! Acts of kindness leave everyone in a better mood, especially you!

Newsletter Content Is your insomnia causing you to age?
Welcome to the Wellness Studio!
After the first year of having my own practice, I realized that although my clients came to me
mainly to help them look better via cosmetic procedures, what they were really looking for was
to feel better about themselves. Now, surely having less wrinkles and a youthful appearance
may help one feel better and more confident, but I realized it was important to address other
underlying issues as well. For example, if someone is sleep deprived, stressed out, or
anxious/depressed, not only will these things affect her overall health, but they will play a major
role in accelerating the aging process.
After much thought, I decided to start this monthly newsletter to address the above issues and
help create a blissful, confident, beautiful you from the inside and out!
Today I would like to address the issue of sleep and how the lack of it plays a role in the
aging process.
I can’t say I was ever a “good” sleeper. I was always envious of people like my mother who fell
fast asleep as soon as her head hit the pillow…it seemed so unfair! I, on the other hand, would
require not only ear plugs to make sure there was absolutely no noise to disturb me, but would
often toss and turn for half an hour before falling asleep. As I got into my 30’s, I started noticing
how my insomnia was taking a toll on my aging in terms of worsening dark circles and
hollowness under my eyes. I started looking for anything to help me sleep better so I could
prevent my insomnia from taking a toll on my appearance.
How does sleep affect the aging process?
Our normal sleep cycle involves the release of certain hormones, including cortisol and growth
hormone, which help regulate a variety of functions in our bodies including the aging process.
Cortisol is produced excessively by our bodies when we are sleep deprived. Elevated levels of
cortisol lead to increased inflammation in our bodies. Increased inflammatory cells in the body
lead to an increase in the breakdown of collagen and hyaluronic acid, the molecules that give
our skin its youthful glow and bounce. The increased inflammatory response due to elevated
cortisol also shows up as under-eye puffiness, acne breakouts, increased skin sensitivity,
increased allergic contact dermatitis reactions, and conditions such as psoriasis and eczema.
In addition, lack of sleep decreases the amount of growth hormone which is vital to maintain the
integrity of the skin by stimulating collagen production and aiding in the cell repair process.

A recent clinical trial published in Science Daily in July 2013, commissioned by Estée Lauder
and conducted by physician-scientists at University Hospitals (UH) Case Medical Center, found
that poor sleepers demonstrated increased signs of skin aging including fine lines, uneven
pigmentation and reduced skin elasticity. The researchers also demonstrated that those who
were sleep deprived had slower recovery from stressors to the skin such as sun and
environmental toxins.
How to Improve Sleep
The ingredients for good sleep include the following:
a dark, quiet, and cool room
waking up the same time everyday (Yes, even on the weekends.)
avoiding any caffeinated beverages after 4 pm
avoiding drinking water too close to bedtime
keeping electronics out of the bedroom
not doing anything in your bed other than sleep and sex
I also advise my patients that if they are having trouble sleeping, get out of bed, go to
another room and do something that is NOT stimulating (like read a boring book or
newspaper). Once you start to feel sleepy, then go back to bed.
Write down anything that is bothering you or is on your mind and unless it is urgent, put
it away to address tomorrow.
Lastly, what I have found most beneficial for me is doing 5-10 minutes of meditation and
slow, deep breathing before going to bed.
Food and Sleep
Just in case you love to snack, here are a list of healthy evening snacks that may also aid in
sleep:
Handful of walnuts or almonds
Banana with almond or peanut butter
Bowl of cereal with milk
Bowl of cherries
Crackers with some cheddar cheese or hummus
Getting your “ Beauty Sleep” is not just a cliche, but is truly important in preventing the
aging process!

Subject: Makeover Your Medicine Class Invitation
Hi there!
I don’t know about you, but the cost of keeping my family healthy just keeps going up
and up each year. I hate when I take one of my sick children to the doctor, only to discover that
they have a virus, and there is nothing the doctor can do. Then, when I check out, I have the
privilege of paying a $60 copay!
Has this ever happened to you? What if you could change that? What if you had the power to
heal your child’s illness, or better yet, prevent it for just pennies a day?
I have discovered that essential oils can be used as preventative care, as well as a safer
alternative than over-the-counter drugs or prescriptions. Once I started using them, I was
able to get over a bad cold in about one day, and heal my husband of a terrible headache in
about 5 minutes.
Because I know you have a busy schedule, I’d like to invite you to one of the three open
houses I am hosting to learn more about these oils:
■ Tuesday, March 18th, 7:00 p.m. at 1234 E Wild Way (Spring Lake)
■ Wednesday, March 19th at Noon at Co Habitat downtown: 500 Clyde Fant Pkwy #200,
Shreveport, LA 71101
■ Wednesday, March 19th at 7:00 p.m. at 1234 E. Wild Way (Spring Lake)
I am excited to get a chance to talk with you about the benefits of DoTERRA essential oils. To
find out more about these oils before the class visit my website:
http://www.mydoterra.com/moniquecunningham/
Your response is needed by March 17th so I can ensure we have enough room for everyone. I
also invite you to bring a friend or two.

Hi (first name),
Just wanted to check in with you to see if you will be able to join me for the Make Over Your
Medicine Class I’ll be hosting on any of the following dates and times:
■ Tuesday, March 18th, 7:00 p.m. at 1234 E Wild Way (Spring Lake)
■ Wednesday, March 19th at Noon at Co Habitat downtown: 500 Clyde Fant Pkwy #200,

■ Wednesday, March 19th at 7:00 p.m. at 1234 E. Wild Way (Spring Lake)
I have been using DoTERRA oils for one month now.
One of the oils that has been so beneficial to me is lavender. I have dermatitis that medications
have not been able to cure. But lavender has given my skin some much needed relief from
itching. The added benefit is its ability to relieve stress.
With only 8 days left to prepare for the class, I would like you to RSVP to let me know which
class you will be attending.
If you have any questions, feel free to email me back.

Please pick a day and time that is convenient for you.
While there are so many oils I love, one of my favorite is lemon and here’s why:
You and I both know that we should drink water every day. But for some people, they just don’t
like the taste of plain water. I’ve discovered that by putting lemon oil in my water, it gives me a
very refreshing drink, which makes me drink more water. Lemon is also ideal for fighting a cold
and promoting a sense of well being.
Please reply to this email and let me know which class you would like to attend.
