Try our fabulous PodCast bead to easily start Rick-Rack, Zigged or Winged
bangles exactly to size. All you have to count are Points. Our sample has 6 up and
6 down, so our Circle Start is 12 beads.
This minimalist beading start will whip up a quick little Casting Model that you can then use and re-use as many times
as you like to start new forms.
Use your Models to create Zigged or Winged bangles in any size or height with
ease - with no more cold starts.

Using medium tension, bead your little PodCast to as many rounds as needed for your size or project.
Larger sizes come from adding more rounds to create taller Casting Models. Choose the
ending round for your 6-Pod from the following size guide. Different starts or point counts will
naturally use different numbers of beads per side.

Above, Kate’s 6-Pod. She used a 10-bead side count, which is a medium size.

When finished, reinforce the edge with a pass of thread and weave in all tails. Your
PodCast should be bouncy, energetic. If not, did you bead it too tightly?
