    Why study the Old Testament?

I think that is a question we all ask. And it's a very, very, very important one. Reason, there are those

(non-believers, atheists, etc.) who say GOD is cruel for having Israel go in and kill those in the city(children, woman, etc.). But, of course they do not understand. Those are generally the ones who fall

by the side not seeing the picture.

Where I'd like to start is to bring yourselves back to the kindergarten days, when you were little and

first attending school. Well, better, before kindergarten... At home with your earthly Mother and Father

as a toddler. What were the first forms of learning? Mine were pictures of animals with their names onthem. Mom and Dad may show us a picture and say "cat", then look at you for you to say cat. When

you got it you were on your way to the next picture. It was by objects, to see something and then sound

it out in words. You can kinda see this play out with Adam when naming the animals, etc. That was the

first part between FATHER and Adam, naming them, and everything HE created was for a reason. Everlearning.

So how does FATHER teach HIS Children after this? The Children of Israel, if you can see it... It'sanother step towards HIM. Think about it. How do you teach 'Spiritual' things to flesh man? You gotta

bring it down to their level. In the flesh level. FATHER did say HIS Children are a bit sottish...

Jeremiah 4:22 KJV(22) For my people is foolish, they have not known me; they are sottish children, andthey have none understanding: they are wise to do evil, but to do good they have noknowledge.

YAHSHUA's (JESUS) spoken Words should show this too...

Luke 23:34-35 KJV(34) Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do. And they partedhis raiment, and cast lots.(35) And the people stood beholding. And the rulers also with them derided him, saying, Hesaved others; let him save himself, if he be Christ, the chosen of God.

Do you think HE could have? Well, HE did alright. But HE said, FATHER, forgive them; for they

know not what they do. They didn't recognize HIM... Even though it was written all over the scriptures. They still have some time to go to understand. YAHSHUA came to fulfill. HE didn't come to change

anything, but to teach. To Fulfill...

FATHER had to begin with something to teach them that knowledge. Let's not forget... HE created all

things for a purpose. Does HE not utilize them? For understanding? The prophets were visited by the

Angels of our FATHER (Messengers). To further that understanding and what would befall them if theywere to go their own ways.

Something to chew on a bit here (Think about). If FATHER commanded Israel to kill all those in the

city and take it for a possession (their enemy). Including the woman and children, that's a hard one toswallow for most. There are some things I'd like to bring to your attention. Where do they go, the ones

who were killed? They go back to the FATHER, to HIM. When reading pay attention to what HE says

about some of these cities. Some were burned to the ground. Why? You'll see they were worshipingfalse gods, idols. The children in those cities didn't have a chance worshiping false gods. All went to

the FATHER upon death in the flesh.

When CHRIST YAHSHUA came HE came not to change things. But to fulfill them. Listen to what

    YAHSHUA says here:

    John 16:3-16 KJV

(3)And these things will they do unto you, because they have not known the Father, nor me.(4) But these things have I told you, that when the time shall come, ye may remember that Itold you of them. And these things I said not unto you at the beginning, because I was withyou.(5) But now I go my way to him that sent me; and none of you asketh me, Whither goest thou?(6) But because I have said these things unto you, sorrow hath filled your heart.(7) Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you.(8)And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and ofjudgment:(9) Of sin, because they believe not on me;(10) Of righteousness, because I go to my Father, and ye see me no more;(11) Of judgment, because the prince of this world is judged.(12) I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now.(13) Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: forhe shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he willshew you things to come.(14) He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall shew it unto you.(15)All things that the Father hath are mine: therefore said I, that he shall take of mine, andshall shew it unto you.(16)A little while, and ye shall not see me: and again, a little while, and ye shall see me,because I go to the Father.

There's more to learn, and there will be those even to the time of HIS coming that will not have

understanding. The Apostles still preached the Old Testament and YAHSHUAH.. YAHSHUAHIMSELF did!!! Will ye know the latter rain when it comes? What is the former rain?

Job 29:19-25 KJV(19) My root was spread out by the waters, and the dew lay all night upon my branch.

    (20) My glory was fresh in me, and my bow was renewed in my hand.

    (21) Unto me men gave ear, and waited, and kept silence at my counsel.(22) After my words they spake not again; and my speech dropped upon them.

    (23) And they waited for me as for the rain; and they opened their mouth wide as for the latter

rain.(24) If I laughed on them, they believed it not; and the light of my countenance they cast not down.

    (25) I chose out their way, and sat chief, and dwelt as a king in the army, as one that comforteth the

    mourners.

    Jeremiah 5:23-24 KJV

    (23) But this people hath a revolting and a rebellious heart; they are revolted and gone.

    (24) Neither say they in their heart, Let us now fear the LORD our God, that giveth rain, both the

former and the latter, in his season: he reserveth unto us the appointed weeks of the harvest.

    Hosea 6:3-4 KJV

    (3) Then shall we know, if we follow on to know the LORD: his going forth is prepared as the morning;

and he shall come unto us as the rain, as the latter and former rain unto the earth.(4) O Ephraim, what shall I do unto thee? O Judah, what shall I do unto thee? for your goodness is as a

morning cloud, and as the early dew it goeth away.

What is it FATHER is saying? HE is saying listen to MY (HIS) Words!!!

What kind of knowledge has increased within the last 2,ooo yrs? I think science is one (and in myhumble opinion, it has FATHERS signature all over it!!!). There is also a decrease in knowledge. An

example of one is we have moved into using GPS for planes and ships. There are a handful of captains

who still use the heavens to guide them. I couldn't tell you much about it myself. I've read about it.

Without a GPS and radio, you are in for trouble.

HE is our SHEPHERD (HE feeds us, HIS Sheep)How much do we drink/eat?

We should be in HIM (HIS Word) and He in UsUnderstanding, Having Knowledge of HIM

So what can we learn from the Old Testament?

May YAHSHUA Bless You with the Former and Latter Rain,Garret
