Starting a few years ago when some of us were at H.O.T., we discovered that there are no requirements for someone leading a ride. However, there are some legal requirements when it comes to waivers for a nonmember. I say all that to say this. If you have a good ride that you enjoy then the other members might enjoy it as well. If that’s the case and you’re a little uncom- fortable then get with a Road Captain and see if they can assist you. We decided at a recent business meeting to give Ride Leaders/Road Captains some incentive for leading rides. If you’ve led a ride, then at the next chapter meeting your name will be entered into a drawing for a $25 QT gas card. Last month Denny Heare won the card. Denny had led a ride to “The Ride to Live.” H.O.G. is all about riding and having fun so I want us to do as much riding as possible. So get out and lead a ride, with as many folks that are riding in our chapter now days the fun is bound to happen.
