lows of the gift of Paris Singer, oneof Joe Earman's friends, to the state:
Paris Singer, head of the Singerenterprises, which .include the . Ever-glades Club, has presented to theFlorida State Board of Health a com-
plete laboratory equipment. Theequipment will be used in the labora-tory building now in course of con-
struction for the state board of healthon Third avenue, near the FloridaEast Coast railway's passenger sta-
tion. "It will make a magnificent ad-
dition to the facilities of the labora-tory," Joe. L. Earman, president ofthe state board of health, said yester-day when he made acknowledgementof Mr. Singer's generous gift.

lawlessness has been called by com-
mercial club officers of Jacksonville as
a result of, several negro houses being
dynamited in South Jacksonville Tues-
day night. County authorities have

sons who blew up the houses follow-
ing the posting of notices for negro'occupants to move.
