Join Parents of Accelerated Learners, NYC [PALNYC] and New York Family Magazine on Saturday, November 8, 2014 for The NYC Ed Tech Family Day: A’Fair- Introducing Families to Ed Tech Learning Tools through Engaging Play. This half-day event hosted by NEST+m and geared to 300 families, ed tech and learning specialists, features the best Ed Technologies available to support, differentiate and individualize

Domain specific vendors in Language Literacy, STEM, 21st Century Skills, (including, coding, video game design, financial literacy, entrepreneurship), Mind & Body Health and The Arts are encouraged to showcase their programs, interactive apps and learning tools through an interactive game or carnival-style display, and bring learning full

circle for total engagement- far beyond a one-to-one screen experience.PALNYC’s Ed Tech Advisory Committee, comprised of education technology experts, specialists and teachers from NYC’s best schools, will help curate the final selection of education technology companies chosen to participate in the Fair based on:a focus on K-8th grade education, the ability to individualize and support learning beyond the classroom and to provide students and parents or learning specialists with an engaging, interactive experience that exemplifies the power of education technology. Supporting partners and speakers of PALNYC events have included NAGC, AGATE, PACE, NJAGC, Common Sense Media, Center for Talented Youth, Child Mind Institute, Hunter College Center for Gifted Studies, Speyer Legacy School, Lang School, Anderson, NEST+m, BSI, STEM PS85 and numerous others. With our impressive list of partners, and our anticipated exhibitors and sponsors, we are sure to cast a wide net for the Ed Tech A’Fair.

ABOUT PALNYC The Parents of Accelerated Learners, NYC [PALNYC] is a 501(c)3 non-profit that launched three years ago with one mission: to provide educational resources for parents to better support the strengths and talents of their children. This mission continues to be realized today through quality programs and collaboration with a wide network of schools, educators, parents and sponsors. Last Fall, PALNYC hosted the NYC Gifted & Talented Symposium, serving more than 500 parents and educators in New York City and bringing together some of the brightest minds in gifted education including keynote speaker Dr. Carol Dweck and organizations that included Johns Hopkins Center for Talented Youth, Hunter College Gifted Studies, The Child Mind Institute, and others. Through programming like the NYC Gifted & Talented Symposium, The PAL Spring Workshop Series and The NYC Ed Tech Family Day: A’Fair, PALNYC offers a unique platform for schools, parents, students and companies to connect, collaborate and network.
