“Recovery doesn't happen overnight”
Neither does weight loss, getting a promotion, going to Med school to become a doctor, sav-ing for a new car/ house, getting over an ill-ness,......... and the list goes on.....
Anything that is good for me or that I want to accomplish, takes time and effort. And the feeling, once achieved.... can be so fulfilling, satisfying, amazing.....

Addicts in Treatment centers and correctional facilities need our help. Currently due to the lack of volunteers we are having to cancel some H&I meetings.
We are looking for recovering addicts willing to do H&I service. Especially those with vulnerable person's checks and/or GVIW checks/ training to attend H&I meetings in the KW and Guelph area. Need help getting cleared for a facility? We can help!
If you can help please contact the Public Relations committee either via committee member or email [email protected]. Thank you for all your service efforts.
Thank you
No one could see that I was screaming inside They didn't notice my spirit had died I tried to reach them but my arms weren't long I tried to shout but my voice wasn't that strong I wanted to run but there was no where to go I couldn't understand how I had gotten so low
One day I happened to be hitchin a ride A car pulled over with two angels inside They showed me a group to help regain my soul I'm now on the path to becoming whole I can see life in a positive light I go to meetings one for each day I never want to lose my way
I now can express what I'm feeling inside These are things I have no need to hide I've started to learn how to be free And now I understand that it's good being me
And I smile
My name is Morgan R and I’m the Newsletter Subcommittee Chair for the NUN. I attended a seminar called Emotional Intelligence in the Workplace last month. I was very intrigued by what I heard. “HALT” and “what other people think of you is none of your business” were just some of the recovery related sayings that were discussed. At the end of the session, I realized that these saying that I’ve come to know and practice on a daily basis can not only help me in my recovery, but in every aspect of my life.

CAR - One exciting upcoming event in April of 2018 is the World Service Conference. This biannual meet-ing is where regional representatives (Regional Delegates and Alternate Delegates) meet together with the World Board to discuss issues affecting this world-wide fellowship. The CAR lays out 25 motions submitted from regions all over the world that will be discussed at the Conference, as well as some background infor-mation on the motions and the World Board’s position on each of them, where they have one.
In addition to the motions in the CAR the Conference is also looking at input from the fellowship about what new literature and service material people would like to see developed, as well as input on topics they would like to see discussed and workshopped. Individual members can give their input on literature and discussion topics by filling out the online survey found here. https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/car18surv This on line survey will be available until March 15. A PDF version of the questionnaire is also available (with the CAR motions) here: https://www.na.org/admin/include/spaw2/uploads/pdf/conference/CAR/CAR2018_TallySheet.pdf .
ORCNA XXXI May 18-20 2018 - Will be held at Blue Mountain in Collingwood.
