It was a calm quiet evening. We ate dinner in silence until… my dad broke the silence with his words, we are moving! Our tears filled the room. We didn’t even ask where we are moving to until the tears stopped.

The tears filled our eyes, those wet, watery, drippy no good tears poured out fast as we sobbed, but our tears dried up on our cheeks and we built the courage to stop crying and asked where are we moving to and why? My dad said in a soft sweet voice. “We are moving to Arkansas, and like always, because of my job.”

My sister said an unforgettable quote, “I don’t want to live anywhere other than Japan! Japan is my home.”

We got to Arkansas and we all started to love the country. I said,

“I want to be a country girl.” My sister said the same thing. My brother said he loved the country too. We all loved the country and got lots of animals, but we forgot about Japan and we wanted to go back and visit, but a visit wasn’t enough so we didn’t know what to do.

We missed Japan, but carried on with our lives. We loved Arkansas, but we needed Japan back. We still enjoyed Arkansas until…my dad told us we were moving, again!!!

We bought our house in Arkansas so we personalized the wallpaper especially, the purple textured wallpaper and blue sparkly wallpaper and a big world map that was not removable.

We moved back to Japan and started at a new school, new house but now it doesn’t really feel like I am new anymore.
