Thoughts on Stewardship

The scriptures today remind us that “we, many though we are, are one body for we all partake of the one loaf.” How are we using our gifts of time and talent to build up the Body of Christ?

NEWS AT LOURDES HAPPY FATHER’S DAY TO ALL THE FATHER’S IN OUR COMMUNITY. We thank God today for the fathers in our lives and ask for His blessings on them. We remember all those who have helped fill the void when fathers pass early or are absent; grand-fathers and uncles, brothers and cousins, teachers, pastors and coaches. Enjoy your day!

UPDATES FROM THE PASTORAL CARE TEAM (PCT) - A Prayer Book is now available, located immediately adjacent to the votive candle stand at the side entrance to the Church. Please enter your prayer petition anytime before or after each of the mass-es. During mass, the Prayer Book will be presented at the altar along with the other offertory gifts, and petitions will be collectively acknowledged by the Celebrant. -The PCT is updating its list of sick and shut-in members so as to be a more effective

ministry to those in need. Over the next several weeks, we will be reviewing the cur-

rent list to be sure it accurately reflects those individuals who have requested a

prayer, a visit, or Holy Communion. If you would like your loved one to continue to

be on list, please contact the church office or call 678-235-5469. Thank you for your

patience as we carry out this important work.

SIMON'S CALL the AIDS ministry at Lourdes, will hold it’s annual Honor Thy Fa-

ther collection over the next two weeks. On behalf of Living Room, we will be col-

lecting move in supplies for persons with HIV/AIDS who have been previously

homeless and have secured stable housing. Please bring a donation in honor/

memory of your father or the father-figure in your life to help a person in need -

items which would be useful to persons setting up an apartment: mops, brooms,

cleaning supplies, detergent, kitchen supplies, pots, pans, etc. There will be bins at

each door for your donations. Thank you in advance!

BABY BOOOMERS BRUNCH: Please join us Sunday, June 25 at the Front Page News, 351 Moreland Ave. NE, Atlanta for Brunch. We will have our own space in the mez-zanine area. You will be able to order off the menu. They have parking a little fur-ther north on Moreland Ave. on the same side for $5.00 which is reimbursed when you pay your check. Please be sure RSVP to Janine Brown 301-651-5953, as we can't have over 30 people in the mezzanine. Looking forward to seeing you! If there are other activities you are interested in, please let Janine know.
