SEARCHLightTheNews & Information from In Search of the Lord’s Way Ministry
“And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that always having all sufficiency in everything, you may have an
abundance for every good deed” (2 Corinthians 9:8).
Occasionally people ask me how we raise funds at SEARCH. I too wondered how this ministry is able to survive the
economic changes of our time and still grow in its outreach and in its response to requests. These are, after all, uncertain times; and expenses are ever increasing!
How do we meet our needs? We ask God to bless and ask brethren to help us. When times are tough, we get on our knees. We believe the promises of our Lord; we know He keeps His promises.
The Lord Jesus said, “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you” (Matthew 7:7). We can say with Paul, “And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus” (Philippians 4:19).
God is meeting our every need through the kindness and commitment of brethren who want the true gospel, preached in love, to enter into every home in this country and abroad. And it is making a difference. Rod Rutherford of Gatlinburg, TN, reports that a mother and daughter were recently baptized after watching the SEARCH program for the last couple of years. Claudia Hutchinson and Denise Dixon are now sisters in the Lord! They simply showed up at the church building, and brother Rutherford said they had already been taught.
Keep SEARCH in your prayers and in your budget. We continue to need your support so that we might reach out to a lost and dying world.
The Lord be with you, Phil Sanders

NEW STATION
God promised that His word would not return to Him “void.” He said it would accomplish what He pleases (Isaiah 55:11). I believe it. As a boy on the farm, I planted cotton seed and watched it produce cotton; corn seed and it produced corn. My father bought a brand new shiney red and green one-row planter, drawn by a mule. It was a beauty! But it didn’t increase the production, not one pound. But the seed it planted did. Therefore, in the SEARCH programs, we preach Christ and Him crucified (1 Corinthians 2:2). RESULTS? The SEARCH program is now enjoying the greatest measure of harvest of souls ever in more than 35 years! Mormons, Baptists, Methodists, Pentecostals, and even some members of the Christian churches have written us of their conversions resulting from their studies with us via the SEARCH TV and radio programs.
Earlier this week, our agent (the person who negotiates air-time contracts for SEARCH with TV and radio stations and networks) passed the good news to me that current studies reveal that television is still the leading means of communicating the advertiser’s message to the public. That means the money churches of Christ are spending in this ministry is wisely spent! And, to me it means that God has opened a door that permits Search to be His messenger into, literally, an innumerable number of homes with His message of salvation every week. And the people are responding! To God be the glory.

SEARCH LightThe 2
IN SEARCH OF THE LORD’S WAY is starting 2014 with a new public access cable station in Dearborn, MI. Channel 16 CDTV is now showing the program on Wednesday at 9:30 pm.
Public access cable TV is by far the most cost effective way of having SEARCH on television in your town. Many of these stations will give the time to a sponsoring church. The SEARCH production experts will custom build a 30 second trailer at the end of each program to advertise the local church. This gives the community a sound Bible lesson each week, and the sponsoring church or churches get effective television advertising on a weekly basis. The 30 second advertisement, shown weekly, would cost hundreds of dollars a month if purchased by itself. For more information on this contact SEARCH by email [email protected] or by phone 1-800-321-8633.
Mack Lyon’s biography is now available from Publishing Designs, Inc. Please call this direct number 1-888-662-1006 to purchase your copy.
SEARCH has some of these books for local Edmond, OK area walk-in requests. All orders needing to have the books shipped PLEASE use the Publishing Designs, Inc. number or email [email protected].
The SEARCH webpage is attracting new people each month. With more information, songs, Bible lessons and interactive maps, it is a ministry to people around the world using the internet. GOD is allowing an outreach of amazing power to be used for HIS Kingdom for literally pennies a day. If you haven’t been to www.searchtv.org lately, have a look and let your friends and family know about it.
As always the SEARCH Staff thanks all of the volunteers and prayerful supporters of this ministry! We look forward to a bright 2014 of preaching the Gospel of CHRIST to the entire world in truth and love!

Topics subject to change without noticeMAR 2 –THE GOD OF THE BIBLEWho is the God of the Bible and what is He
like? If God did, in fact, create us, then we need to know Him. We need to know how we can come into a relationship with Him and what He desires of us.
MAR 9 – GODS OF THIS WORLDIdolatry is the worship or adoration of
anyone or anything other than the LORD God. In ancient times pagan nations had their own gods whom they worshiped. Do people have idols they worship today?
MAR 16 – ONE OF A KIND The Lord Jesus Christ is one of a kind.
Though some say He is simply one great spiritual leader among others or He is like other ancient deities, Jesus is indeed unique in His life and in His teaching.
MAR 23 – A TRUE TESTIMONYCan we trust what the four gospel accounts
say about Jesus? Are the accounts of Jesus’ life historically accurate? We have good reason to believe we can trust what the Bible says about the life of Jesus Christ.MAR 30 – THE ALL SUFFICIENT WORD
The Scriptures teach us all we need to know to live the Christian life on earth and to have eternal life with God in heaven. The Lord Jesus promised the apostles the Holy Spirit would guide them into all the truth.

SEARCH OF THE LORD’S WAY®
HAYES, VA “Thank you for all of the efforts and wonderful messages that you gave from God’s Word. My husband and I have listened and record your sermons for quite some time and are grateful to you for them. Please forgive us for not sending you support for them before now. Thank you again.”
MURFREESBORO, TN “Please use this check at your discretion for the furtherance of the Gospel. With prayers for good health for all of you there.”
MANCELONA, MI “As always, we enjoy your program. Our Gaylord church of Christ supports your program and we’d like to help too. Thank you for what you do.”
CORSICANA, TX “Please see this is used in the work as the Elders and you see fit. Thank you for your love and dedication to truth.”
MIDWEST CITY, OK “Sorry I’m so long sending you some needed money. This older member of the Eastside Church of Christ in Midwest City has many times when his mind goes the wrong way to often. We watch you all the time and enjoy the talks.”
GATLINBURG, TN “Rod Rutherford wants to confirm dates for the meeting you will be holding in Gatlinburg, TN. He also wanted you to know that they baptized a woman and her daughter last Saturday. They had been attending the congregation there for a few months, but she has been watching Search for a couple of years. Rod said that they first heard the truth from watching the program. What a wonderful story.”
SUN CITY, AZ “Keep up the good work. You are greatly appreciated. Have a very good year in 2014!”
RICHLAND, WA “You do such a good work. Thank you for presenting the Lord’s Way, His Word, kindly, but uncompromising of the truth. Please continue.”
KIRBY, AR “My husband listened to your program each morning. As long as he could find it on T.V., but he was very confused and had dementia and got so bad he didn’t even know me (so sad). I really miss him and need your prayers. I’ll continue to help as long as I can. Brother Phil is a great speaker and I love you all for making the program possible.”
