How do I access worship?Three ways

BY COMPUTER – Click the link below for Sunday’s service. If you’ve never used GoToMeeting before, click the link now to get the program (also called an “App”) for your computer and be ready for your first ‘meeting.’ The instructions should be simple.

BY SMARTPHONE – Search for the GoToMeeting app on your phone and download it. And use the meeting ID below (access code).

BY PHONE (call-in, for sound only) – Follow the call-in instructions below. To dial in to the worship service. You will need the meeting ID. Try to use a phone that gets free long distance, so you don’t get charged.

Welcome to Worship! It is quite different to worship together while being apart! Not the way the

church was intended to be, but this is the plan we willingly take right now for the preservation of life.

Are you new to Fairview? If you’re new to Fairview worship, or if it has been a long while, welcome (back)! I hope you will hear great news of God to give you peace in this uncertain time we live in. This year for worship, we are working through 52 weeks of questions from our catechism in conjunction with our devotional book, A Good Confession.

As you worship today….

1) Remember the whole believing family. This is a service of corporate worship. Though you cannot see your church family today, know that they are worshiping at the same time.

2) Communicate with God. Worship is also an individual act. It is a dialogue: sometimes it takes some quiet and some intention to choose to actively hear from God and communicate to God. You are strongly encouraged to sing the songs! (The good news is, no one has to hear, so you can sing as loud as you wish!) You can also just listen, but as you listen, participate with your heart and mind - let the words of the songs be your own to God.

3) We will use the ESV Bible for our services. Other versions will certainly work! But ESV is what we will use in the services.

4) Read aloud your portions when it’s your turn. (I’ll prompt you). 5) Look forward to the day God will rejoin our churches as they

were meant to be – In person together for “fellowship” and the “breaking of bread.”

This WeekAll church activities are suspended for now!

Pastoral Care. Pastor Jeff and Pastor Ric will be starting to call each member and regular attender.

Next Sunday9:30am Sunday School – John Gallo will continue to provide

Sunday school teaching. He will provide it online. I will provide the link through facebook, email, or website.

10:45am Morning Worship – Home Worship will continue. In the next text we will hear about the formation of man and woman, from Genesis 2:4-9. See another page in the bulletin for how to access.

Congregational AnnouncementsCommunication – Be patient as we are working to communicate

with you. There are ways to stay in the know – through Facebook, our website, and also emailing. The first and easiest right now is for Pastor to send email. Please email [email protected] to have your name added to his list, and he’ll send you a list of resources and prayer to pray right now. If you have Facebook, search for and join the group “Fairview R.P. Church (PCA).” We also update as able on our website, which you can find on the back of our bulletin: www.fairviewpca.org.

Announcements? If you have any announcements for the church, please email Marci at [email protected].

Suspension – All church activities and get-togethers have been suspended until March 30. We will update everyone as the time comes.

Table Talk Devotional – We have four issues of TableTalk devotionals on the table in the vestibule at the church. Feel free to come by and get one. Table Talk is a brief but deep daily biblical devotional with other Christian topical articles for the training of your mind.

Tithes and offerings. Giving is our privilege and act of worship. There are three ways to give: (1) Online – visit our website, click on the header labeled “Give.” A small percentage is taken out for processing. (2) Drop off – Drop it off with Marci and she will place in the safe. Office is open M-Th 9am-2pm. (3) Mail – mail this way:

Fairview Church Attn: Deacons6366 Tuscarawas Rd. Industry, PA 15052

Fellowship and Mutual Care. Stay posted as we are right now considering creative ways to keep spiritual fellowship and contact, and mutual care. For this week, write a letter to an older member in our church!

Consider others. All of our community is facing great temporary changes. Consider others’ needs above your own, especially as it relates right now to slowing the spread of the virus. You may be yearning for personal contact. But choose to keep our hospitals from getting overwhelmed by remaining isolated. This is an act of love.

Volunteer help. We’ve had two folks call to volunteer their help. This is fantastic. Can’t say how to serve yet, we may need grocery drivers for the very isolated. But if you’d like to serve, contact our head deacon, Giles te Velde (724-561-8396) or Pastor Jeff (724-417-7012).

Devotionals. We will continue our devotions in A Good Confession through all of 2020. If your family unit does not have a copy and want to, we have 13 copies remaining. Email Marci at [email protected]
