After the christening of his baby brother in church, Jason sobbed all the way home in the back seat of the car. His father asked him three times what was wrong. Finally, the boy replied, ‘That preacher said he wanted us brought up in a Christian home, and I wanted to stay with you guys.’

A Sunday school teacher asked her children as they were on the way to church service, ‘And why is it necessary to be quiet in church?’ One bright little girl replied, ‘Because people are sleeping.’

A mother was preparing pancakes for her sons, Kevin 5, and Ryan 3. The boys began to argue over who would get the first pancake. Their mother saw the opportunity for a moral lesson.. ‘If Jesus were sitting here, He would say, ‘Let my brother have the first pancake, I can wait.’ Kevin turned to his younger brother and said, ‘Ryan, you be Jesus !’

A father was at the beach with his children when the four-year-old son ran up to him, grabbed his hand, and led him to the shore where a seagull lay dead in the sand. ‘Daddy, what happened to him?’ the son asked. ‘He died and went to Heaven,’ the Dad replied. The boy thought a moment and then said, ‘Did God throw him back down?’

A wife invited some people to dinner. At the table, she turned to their six-year-old daughter and said, ‘Would you like to say the blessing?’ ‘I wouldn’t know what to say,’ the girl replied. ‘Just say what you hear Mommy say,’ the wife answered. The daughter bowed her head and said, ‘Lord, why on earth did I invite all these people to dinner?’

A little boy was overheard praying: ‘Lord, if you can’t make me a better boy, don’t worry about it. I’m having a real good time like I am.’

3-year-old Reese : ‘Our Father, Who does art in heaven, Harold is His name. Amen.’

Do you find yourself becoming breathless? Are you feeling tired consistently throughout the day? Do you want to improve your quality of life? If so, it’s time to UP! your fitness and to strengthen your cardiovascular-related health. Your body depends heavily on your cardiovascular system. Your car-diovascular system assists with getting the blood flowing to transport nutrients, hormones, oxygen, and waste efficiently throughout the body. Cardiovascular exercise, commonly referred to as aerobic exer-cise, includes various activities, such as gardening, walking, swimming, dancing, and cleaning.

Cardiovascular exercises challenge your body and when done consistently provides benefits such as:

To maximize the potential benefits of cardiovascular exercise, the American Heart Association recommends at least thirty minutes of moderate-intensity aerobic activity throughout the day at least five days per week for a total of 150 minutes. These exercises can be completed either all at once or several bouts throughout the day, depending on the individual. Thirty minutes a day may seem like a long-time to exercise; however, if you do something you enjoy it will become something you look forward to. For example, if you enjoy dancing, you may try dancing a few times a week.

Cardiovascular exercises like aerobic dance can help you improve your quality of life, help you stay independent and allow you to continue taking part in the activities that YOU enjoy! Join us on Tuesdays and Fridays at 11:00 a.m. in the Wellness Center as we dance towards a healthier lifestyle.

on Wednesday, August 3, are reminded to please be in the Front Lobby and ready to set sail at 10:40 a.m.

Woodworking Shop ReminderApproximately two years ago the Woodworking

Shop was given a face lift. Old unused items collect-ed over the years were thrown out; the floor, cabinets, and work spaces were painted. Unfortunately, the Shop is becoming messy again. It appears that many old items and materials are being stored there. Items should not be stored in the Woodworking Shop. To free up counter tops, please keep tools and materials off of counter work spaces. There are several empty

cabinets available where items can be kept under lock and key. If you use the saws

or sanders, please clean up after you are finished. In the upcom-ing weeks a bin will be added

where scrap wood can be placed for those who would like to reuse it.
