ARTFUL EXPRESSIONSColor Muskegon

Be part of the art action with Color Muskegon! Local artist, Forrest Hansen, has created multiple sketches of iconic Muskegon areas and the community is invited to make their mark on Muskegon by painting on the boards. Think of it as a very large page in a coloring book (as in 4’x8’)! Once the boards are colored, you can purchase your very own piece of Muskegon! Project collaboration and proceeds to benefit the Arts Council of White Lake - Nuveen Center. Located at the intersection of 3rd St. and Western Ave.

Live ArtEvent Partners: Muskegon Museum of Art, KL Outdoor

Watch artwork being created first hand by two local artists during the festival! TerriLynn Lake, a concrete canvas artist, is chalking a larger than life replica of Edward Curtis’s Thunderbirds & Whales. This elaborate 4’x11’ chalk art is located on Clay Ave. by Hackley Park.

Sarah Landstrom, known for her dynamic paintings of fish species and fly fishing practices, is painting a kayak donated by KL Outdoor. This exceptional and functional work of kayak art will be auctioned off during the festival and it could be yours! Located at 3rd St. and Western Ave.

K-12 Student Art ShowcaseEvent Partner: Shape Corp

Join us for an exhibition of artwork from Muskegon County students, grades K-12. All art is for sale! Stop by the roundabout on Western Ave. and 3rd Street to chat with the students and take home a unique piece of budding artistry! All proceeds go to the student artists. Coordinated by the Muskegon Area Intermediate School District.

KEEPIN’ IT GREENEvent Partner: DTE Energy

The Lakeshore Art Festival, in conjunction with DTE Energy, is pleased to continue our GREEN initiative. Our goal is to significantly reduce the amount of waste generated by use of compostable and recyclable products. Additionally, recycling and composting bins will be located throughout our event. Please join us in “Keepin’ it Green” by looking for a recycling or composting bin BEFORE you dispose of your trash. Thank you!
