It is a great opportunity for each of us to spend five minutes or fifty minutes (or more!) with Jesus, Present to us in the Eucharist. Let us take a moment's rest from the hectic pace of life and like Mary sit at the feet of Jesus (Luke 10). We invite all of our family and friends from the MCPS community to share in this wonderful opportunity! Registration Classes are filling up fast! Be sure to get your registration for the 2019-2020 school year submitted as soon as possible. The registration fee will increase to $300 on May 1. The tuition contract, parish voucher, pre-authorized debit form, and registration fee are due with the completed registration form to the Business Office as soon as possible. The registration fee is non-refundable. Your student is guaranteed a spot only after we have received the signed tuition contract, registration fee, and pre-authorized debit form. Certification is good for one calendar year. Certification can be renewed online at www.mobilearchdiocese.org. The following are the ONLY dates for volunteers to complete the initial child protect training. All trainings will take place at 6:30 PM at the High School. April 24 May 22 PowerSchool Maintenance PowerSchool will be offline on 4/6/19 between 7am-7pm ET for an auto update to 12.1.4. Up to 2 hours downtime is expected.

Free Athletic PhysicalsSaturday, May 18, 2019 8:00-10:00 AM Dolly Barranco CenterThe Alabama High School Athletic Association requires all 7-12 student athletes to have a current athletic physical on file. MCPS requires all cheerleaders, band members, and color guard to have a current physical on file.VOLUNTEERS NEEDED We usually process 150+ student physicals in two hours with the help of numerous parent volunteers.The following volunteers are needed from 7:30 AM-10:15 AM:

• Physicians• RNs• Physical Therapists• Nurse Practitioners• Parent Volunteers

Booster Club Coke Sale April 8 - April 29The newly revitalized Montgomery Catholic Booster Club will hold our annual Coca-Cola Truckload sale April 8-29. The Booster Club will be selling a wide variety of Coca-Cola products. We are asking all MCPS K4 – 12 families to purchase or sell as many cases of Coke products (20 oz.), PowerAde (20 oz.), Dasani water (20 oz.), or Monster Drinks (16 oz.) as possible. All products will be 24 count per case.Cost per case:

Elementary CampusesIOWA and CogAT TestingStandardized testing will continue until April 5th. Please make sure to have your children to school on time for testing. HOLY SPIRITApril 16 - Pastries with Parents Pastries with Parents will be held on April 16th, 7:15-8:00, in the school gym. All parents are invited to start their day by having doughnuts and juice with their children. April 29 - 2nd, 5th Grade Baseball Trip The second and fifth grades will have a field trip to a Montgomery Biscuits Game on April 29th. Students will sit with their First Communion Buddies.April 30 - 4th Grade Rosa Parks Museum Trip On April 30th, the fourth grade will go to the Rosa Parks Museum and the Civil Rights Memorial.

ST. BEDE April 17 - Spy Wednesday MassWe will go to Mass on Wednesday of Holy Week (April 17th) at 8:30 AM. This is known as Spy Wednesday. Please remember to send your children to school wearing Mass day uniforms. If you family has been participating in the Rice Bowl program, please send them in on the 17th. We will take them to church with us when we go for Mass.April 30 - 2nd, 3rd Grade Lanark TripOur 2nd and 3rd graders will be going to the Lanark Nature Center on the 30th of April. They will leave at 8:45 and should return by 1:45. Students are to wear long blue jeans or uniform bottoms with spirit shirts. They should also pack a lunch for the day.

MIDDLE SCHOOL April 5 8th Grade Job Shadow Day In our eighth grade English classes, we have begun our unit on research and are exploring career ideas through this research. Part of the research is through a hands-on learning experience in the career field in which they are interested. Our eighth grade students have completed career interest inventories and will use this data to job shadow a professional in that area. Students must job shadow for at least four (4) hours on April 5; students shadowing professionals will not report to school on that day. Parents arrange job placement and transportation for the job shadow day on Friday, April 5, 2019.April 10 Middle School Field Day Today our middle school will enjoy our annual Field Day. School will dismiss at 12:30 PM. No after school care with the YMCA Good Times Program.April 10-14 8th Grade Trip to Washington DC Eighth grade students will arrive at school by 5:30 PM to load the buses. Please be sure to eat dinner before you arrive!
