On November 14, 2014, we officially welcomed the Mu Class into our Kappa Theta Beta sister- hood!! Our newest class was able to experience a beautiful night of prayer, bond within their Big- Little families, and come to know the Mysteries that we all hold so dear (even the frigid cold that has become a tradition in its own right!)!! The incredible amount of love and joy in the room was clearly evident, as we witnessed the Mus excited- ly open their “surprises,” posed for countless pictures, and smiled and laughed all night long. This year’s floral –themed Initiation will surely be a fond memory for all that were involved! A special and great thanks goes out to our Initiation Coordinator, Kelsey Kvinta, and her mother, for all of the hard work they put into making this night absolutely perfect!! Without a doubt, this year’s annual Former Member Tailgate was the best part of the Texas A&M V. Missouri game on November 15, 2014!!! Thanks to our Former Member Co-ordinator, Brenna Thompson, and her parents, we had everything we could have ever want-ed— AWESOME photo opportunities with our letters, a great view of the Corps of Cadets March-In, and warm, delicious food (chili, hot chocolate, tea, fruit, veggies, baked goods, chips, and dip)!!!!! Former members were able to meet current members and reconnect with their other sisters that came back to visit. One highlight for current members was watch-ing the cute children that accompanied our former members to the tailgate! ADORA-BLE!!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH, BRENNA!! You put on an incredible event, ma’am!!

Top: FIVE generations of KTB Sisters were able to be reunited!!! Bottom: Thanks to Brenna’s parents (pictured under the tent), we were able to get a prime tail-

gating spot right across from the 12th Man statue! WHOOP!!!

Favorite thing about KTB: One of my favorite things about KTB was being able to lead a small group for two semesters. It gave us a chance to reflect upon the Word and the Saints as well as time away from our busy schedules to grow in our faiths. I learned that I really enjoy learning about my faith with my sisters in Christ, and the fellowship that KTB pro-vides is hard to beat. How KTB helped you grow in its pillars: KTB gave me an outlet in college to further the pillar of spirit-uality. I really enjoyed the retreats, because I was able to take time to reflect more deeply within my-self, spiritually. My absolute favorite times in KTB were the socials and the Hoedown. Tell us about your life, currently: I am in my third year of teaching at Medina Valley ISD in Castro-ville, Texas, where I teach fifth grade English-Language Arts. KTB family: Big: Maddie Brown (Smith) Grandbig: Katelynn Gagnon (Roggow) Great Grandbig: Lynette Avina Great Great Grandbig: Kathleen Olave (Eck)

Favorite KTB memory/short story: After rush one day, the Board needed help with some things for Fall Retreat, so a few of us stayed to help. After finishing we went to Fuego (for my first time) and just hung out. I got to know two amazing girls and found out that we had many things in common. Now one of them is my big!!! It was a great night of growing in sisterhood as well as do-ing some service for KTB. Tell us about your most prized possession: My most prized possession is my puppy back home. She is a miniature longhaired dachshund and has held my heart from the moment I received her for my birth-day in middle school. She has always been there for me and always knows what to do to cheer me up. She is also completely adorable and rules the roost at home. Tell us about the person you look up to most: The person that I look up to the most is my grandmoth-er. She is a strong woman of faith and is the kind-est, loving woman I have ever met. She is a won-derful matriarch to our family and has held every-one together after the passing of my grandfather. One of her biggest contributions is not only her faith, but she has a passion for education. I hope to grow up to be at least half the woman she is. Your plans/dreams/hopes for the future: After graduation, I hope to pursue a Masters degree here at Texas A&M ,so that I can teach and then go into administration. I hope that I can pass my love for mathematics on to my future students and ignite, within them, a desire to continue their education.

Texas A&M Class: Fighting Texas Aggie Class of 2017!!!! Academic Major: Interdisciplinary Studies Math/Science 4-8) KTB Class: Mu Your KTB family: Courtney Krupala is my awesome big, and I have a wonderful twin little, Rachel Blount. Other organizations that are close to your heart: I am an active member of the Texas State Teachers Association and Sports for Kids. In Sports for Kids, we help the kids of the Bryan/College Station area get excited about sports.
