When Can We Rejoice?

• ‘Rejoice in the Lord always, I say it again: Rejoice’ Phil 4:4

• Last weeks’ joy was for last week, it won’t strengthen you today

• God did not say Rejoice when you feel like it - He said always,

• We need to be strong to fight the good fight of faith all the time

Joy is very useful when facing trials

• James 1:2 ‘Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds’

• Because joy gives us strength and we need that strength to overcome the trails we face.

• Don’t forget we will spend eternity with God in heaven!

• Remember peace and joy go hand in hand

Joy brings peace in the most adverse of circumstances

• Though the fig tree does not bud and there are no grapes on the vines, though the olive crop fails and the fields produce no food, though there are no sheep in the pen and no cattle in the stalls, yet (yet, yet) I will rejoice in the LORD, I will be joyful in God my Savior. (Habakkuk 3:17-18)

• Note wells (pl), there are many wells; healing, prosperity, sound mind reconciliation etc
