Our homeland
Kyoto is where we are originally from.
We are a family of four.
Our parents were writers and printers.
We were not very rich in Japan but we are planning on starting over when we land in Angel island.

Our HomelandWhen we left we were very sad that we
had to leave the whole country of
Japan.I loved my home land, but it was
time to go because we were not as
wealthy as we could be.So we wanted
to move to America because we wanted
a better life.
What we had
to say by to.
We had to leave our father behind because the ship was already sold out. When we finally reached angel island we had to wait 3 days on the ship. Then we waited 1 day to actually get out of the
boarding site. The boat that we traveled and waited three days was not the most pleasant it smelled really bad, and the ship was jam packed. The boat was so packed we couldn't even sit down and,
there was two big men squashing me.
Our voyage

took to Angel island

The arrival When we got there the guys that
met us were not very nice but its not like they weren't mean or anything. We were
not marked because we don't have any problems with our body's. So they just put our numbers on our chests and we left like a happy Japanese family. That
was after we got checked by the doctors.

We had a big opportunity to move to the
big city of Chicago. So we took the chance and moved
to Chicago by train and there was a lot of room on that
train so we could sit down. When we settled in Chicago
Our parents became writers and printers for the Chicago
tab.
