This fortnight’s problem is:An airplane taking off from a runway travels 3600 feet before lifting off. If it starts from rest, moves with constant acceleration, and makes the run in 30 seconds, with what speed does it lift off? Please show all necessary steps. All submissions are accepted until March 17th and should besubmitted to room 1652 (there is a plastic wall folder in which to place your submissions) All correct answers will be entered into a raffle to receive a $25 gift card of the winner’s choice! Every Tuesday & Wednesday from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. and 4:00 - 6:00 p.m. NOTICE OF REFERENDUM Notice is hereby given that the Red Rocks Community College Student Government, during the week of April 10th – 16th, will be referring a question appearing on the ballot as follows to a vote of the student body: “Shall the use of the Red Rocks Community College fee for the student health clinic for all fee paying students be expanded to provide operations at both the Lakewood and Arvada Student Health Clinic without an increase in the existing fee amount other than an annual increase for the rate of inflation? For academic year 2016-2017 the fee is $21.32 per fall and spring semester and $10.66 per summer semester. All currently enrolled fee paying students are encouraged to participate.” Voting tables will be available the week of April 10th – 16th Please bring a photo ID in order to vote. Questions?
