There is tremendous value in being able to share and access data from anywhere to anywhere.

With typical network cloud systems data is pushed up to a server and then pulled back down by clients.Great for videos, pictures, music, documents, but not a good design for realtime data.If data does not reside at the source the data quality, freshness of data, accuracy of data, and speed of delivery is affected using this architecture.

Open Automation Software runs as a Service Oriented Architecture with innovative server to server and client to server communications. In this design there is no data loss on a network failure and the quality and freshness of data is guaranteed.

There can be up to 10,000 OAS Servers in each network. Each OAS Server can host up to 1,000,000 data points. Each OAS Server can provide data to up to 10,000 OAS Clients. Each OAS Client can communicate to up to 10,000 OAS Servers.

Over the years Open Automation Software has expanded the software library.

2004 - Open Automation software was the first SCADA / HMI software to provide Smart Client deployment for visualization, trending, and alarming with 100% managed components.

2005 - Open Automation Software was the first SCADA / HMI software to provide visualization, trending, and alarming using AJAX for web applications to be the first SCADA interface on the iPhone when first released in 2007, and also the Android when it was released in 2008.

2010 - Open Automation Software was the first SCADA software to be able to log over 1,000,000 records to SQL Server in an open format in one call for Big Data.

2012 – Open Automation Software releases the Live Data Cloud with Remote SCADA Hosting with a standard Internet connection without the need for a fixed IP address.

2013 - Open Automation Software implemented JSON / jQuery / REST interface to replace AJAX with first JSON interface for SCADA software and HTML5 support.
