DAIRY GIANT “AGROPUR” ACQUIRESCOAST MOUNTAIN DAIRYOn August 1st, 2013, Agropur Co-operatives bought Coast Mountain Dairy, manufacturer’s of Sara’s Old Fashioned Ice Cream and many other private label brands, from TransCold Distribution.
Agropur is a major player in the Canadian Dairy industry, owning several companies such as, Island Farms, IÖGO Yogurt, Farmers Dairy and Olympic Dairy.
With this acquisition comes the introduction of Island Farms ice cream into TransCold’s already impressive portfolio. Sara’s Ice Cream will begin to soft phase over to the Island Farms 11.4L ice cream, over the next 6 months.
TransCold is excited to partner with Agropur/Island Farms and introduce their many exciting flavours and premium quality into our lineup.

Describe yourself in 3 words?Active, Driven and a total dork! 3. What’s the first thing you do when you wake up in the morning?COFFEE, I love my Keurig... 60 seconds till happiness☺4. What is one of the things you would put on your “bucket list”?To play The Old Course, St. Andrews with my buddies, it would be pointless without them.5. If you could trade lives with someone for a day, who would it be and why?I wouldn’t! Wrong, right or indifferent I’m happy with who I am and where I’m going. 6. If you were granted 3 wishes, what would you ask for? To have dinner with all my siblings, to be 6 feet tall and to be wealthy... not rich, wealthy! I’m just joking about the last two. 7. What phobias do you have?Heights, I’m just not a fan! 8. What is your biggest pet peeve?People being late!!! It’s a sign of disrespect and piss poor planning. 9. If your life was turned into a movie, what actor would play you?LOL He would be a hybrid between Vin Diesel, Dudley Moore and Rudy! (Rudy’s a movie) 10.
